Jay Z GOAT Case (RAP DEBATE COURT ROOM)

Welcome to the Rap Debate Court Room. (RDCR) We will discuss why aforementioned rapper is the GOAT or Greatest of all Time. First we will discuss why Jay-Z or Shawn Carter is NOT THE goat.. Prosecution goes first.... P: Well Jay is a terrific rapper there's no doubt but I think he bites rappers like Notorious B.I.G. He is not as original as some think.....He lost a viscous rap battle with Nas. I dont have much to say against Jigga. Defense closes debate.... D: Well that's not much argument against Jay. He is a terrific lyricist and spitter. He has other rappers trying to be him. I think classics like Blueprint 1,3, and The Black Album say diffrently. I feel Jay Z makes rapping sound really easy. He has also been VERY commmerically succesful. I think all his albums have pretty much gone platinum Closing Arguments: TBH out of all the rappers (Not named 2Pac). Jay-Z proabably has the best case for GOAT. I just cannot see the rap game without Jay Z. I can only sa...

Album Review: Jay Z Reasonable Doubt

One of the best debut albums and lyrical performances ever by a rapper. Jay-z has some serious bars, and its evident with his first album which is arguably his best lyrical outing. Believe it or not, I didn’t like this album as much as some other Jigga albums when I first got it in 2008. He story-tells really well and his flow is basically flawless. Sometimes its almost too fast, but I won’t deduct a point for that. There is also a good amount of guest spots: Mary J. Blige, Mecca, Foxy Brown, Memphis Bleek, and The Notorious B.I.G. assist Jigga. Dead Presidents II is an incredible song. D’Evils is also dope. You’re not a real Jay fan if you haven’t heard this one. Verdict: 10

Album Review: 2pac-The Don Killuminati:The 7 Day Theory

Verdict: 9/10. Look for me! The first Posthumous 2pac album. TDKT7DT is better than I remember it was when I first heard it. It features a hardcore Pac, but he’s soft on some of the latter songs, like White Man’z World. Just Like Daddy is a song for the ladies…as is Toss It Up. Me And My Girlfriend is a terrific song. Its actually the song Jay-z sampled for 03’ Bonnie & Clyde. Bomb First and Against All Odds are great songs. To Live and Die In LA is a terrific anthem to the city of angels. The best song though, is Hail Mary. The production is really good, but the lyricism is great. I mean what do you expect from rap’s Greatest to ever do it?

Album Review: 2pac's All Eyez On Me

Known as Pac’s magnum opus. The album is a double disc. The album is a little on the long side, but there’s a lot of bangers on both both discs. The first disc is the better of the 2. It’s got Ambitionz As  A Ridah, How Do U Want It, I Ain’t Mad Atcha, 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, and a remix to California Love. I like the remix but the original is better. There is some filler here, but not much. It’s just a terrific album from arguably rap’s most complete rapper. Overall Rating 97(All Eyez on the G.O.A.T.) Grade A Lyrics 25 Beats 25 Depth 24 Tilt 23

Disc. Battle Jay-z's Reasonable Doubt vs. Blueprint 1

In this battle I’ll put Jay-z’s 2 best albums against each other…that’s right: Reasonable Doubt(1996) vs. Blueprint 1(2001). OP Is a tie. Album Reasonable Doubt Blueprint Result Singles B+ A+ BP Lyrics A+ A+ Tie Beats A A+ BP Cohesiveness A+ A+ Tie Legacy A+ A RD Final Result: A close battle. The winner is the 1 st Blueprint. The two albums tied in lyrics and Cohesiveness. However I felt BP’s beats are flawless, while some on RD aren’t as stellar….even considering the time difference. RD did have more of a legacy than BP1.

My Thoughts- on 2pac aka Tupac Shakur aka Makiavelli

I've been wanting to make this post for a while now...I'll do one on The Notorious B.I.G. later. This round of My Thoughts is dedicated to the one and only 2pac. I'm gonna give u my point of view with a a topic as i do so well on the My Thoughts series. I was just a kid when Pac was shot....about 8 to be exact. I wasnt that into rap back then, but in 1999 i was a huge fan of the song Changes. Little did I know that was just one of Pac's great song catalogue. Of course I liked California Love (original version). So my point is I wasn't a huge Pac fan till well a few years ago. Pac is rap's most versatile rapper, with only Jay-z and Kanye West being even close (IMO). He made rap's most viscous diss record, Hit Em Up. He made some really great introspective songs too like Dear Mama. He could also story tell with the best of them. Of course theres the songs for the ladies, and the club bangers too. Pac's standout albums are Me Against the World a...
