 This review is pretty late but hey I've finally got to it. I've got to admit this is one of Logic's best album's to date. It's technically a sequel to The Incredible True Story ; which was a great album in its own right. The album follows the space adventures of Thomas and Kai. I love the skits here just like on the predecessor. From the skits tho, the narrative tells a story before the events of TITS. Logic is just in top form on this album lyrically. The album opens with "Paul Rodriguez" which is a long lyrical assault. "Mission Control" is where Logic flips the beat on Gucci Mane's "Lemonade". In fact this album is just full of call backs to TITS. The production is pretty damn good too. I liked every song but some more than others obviously. Overall yeah Logic imo has nothing left to prove after this incredible 3 album run of  Vinyl Days, College Park, and now Ultra 85.  Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 25 Tilt 25 Verdict 97

 The latest album from Logic is really good. There's a narrative throughout as Logic and his homies get ready for a show in DC as they drive from Maryland. One thing I like here is Logic gives his homies more chance to shine on this album whether that be through actual album cuts like "Gaithersburg Freestyle" or the skits. Logic spits really well on this album and honestly I would expect nothing less from a Logic album at this point. "Shimmy" featuring Joey Bada$$ is really good too. Production wise its pretty good too. I liked most songs alot. Overall tho there's not much here that blew me away so its a slight step below the Vinyl Days album. Still another solid project tho.   Logic returns with his first official album after retirement and man it's really exceptional. The album is 30 tracks but quite a few of those are skits and most of the songs aren't very long at all. The album has an old school feel to it...more than any other Logic project I've heard. I gotta talk about those skits....they are kind of redundant with only a couple like Michael Rapport's being good. Most I could do without. The features here are all for the most part really good like Royce da 5'9, AZ, Wiz Khalifa, Action Bronson, The Game, etc..Lyrically Logic spits really well. He sounds so much more focuses than he did on Bobby Tarentino III.  Beat wise the album is good but nothing amazing....but the album did have the sound I think Logic wanted.  Logic returns from retirement with a decent mixtape. As a Logic fan knows there's "Album Logic" and "Mixtape Logic"; this being one of the latter lol. I gotta admit tho, this might be the weakest of the Bobby Tarentinos. It does have some bangers tho like "Flawless" and "God Might Judge". The latter is really fire. There's a stupid skit that's literally called "Stupid Skit" lol. "Vaccine" is another highlight. Logic spits pretty well here but nothing special. The album is pretty laid back overall...which is kinda odd to be honest. I was honestly expecting more since No Pressure was so good...but hey this is just meant to tide us over till the next Logic offering.  Lyrics 22 Beats 21 Depth 22 Tilt 20 Verdict 85

 This is Logic's mainstream projects worst to best. I've made some changes to the ranking from my individual reviews. Lets get into it. 8) Confessions of a Dangerous Mind-  The worst of Logic’s illustrious discography is CODM. The songs are mostly forgettable and aren’t executed that well. Despite this, its not that bad. There are some bangers here. “Homicide” featuring Eminem is the best no doubt. The album kinda feels rushed or that Logic needed a break which we all know in 2020 that he just took.  Top Tracks: Homicide, Icy, Keanu Reeves, Don’t Be Afraid to Be Different.   7) Bobby Tarentino II-  The 2 nd  BT mixtape is pretty damn good, even if it falls considerably short of the first one. There are some bangers here like “Contra” and “Warm It Up”. Some of the guests don’t really do much to help the album unfortunately. Logic has released his final album after 10 years in the rap game. For the most part this new album delivers. Logic worked with NoI.D. on his first album Under Pressure and he's back with him here. The production is great and fits his flows well. "Soul Food II" is really lush. It's basically got the same beat as the first one. "Perfect" is another banger, and I honestly wish the song and this album was longer. "Man I Is" is just greatness. "DadBod" feels like an older Eminem song and it's really compelling. I really like "GP4" which stands for Growing Pains II. Ultimately Logic is much more focused lyrically here than he was on the very underwhelming Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.  Logic has been one of my favorite rappers since 2017, so its sad to see him retire, but at least he's going out with a bang. This is easily Logic's 2nd best work imo to Everybody . I might do a track by track review of this. We'll se...

Its time for me to give you my honest thoughts on another artist. Logic is a terrific rapper out of Maryland. I really have liked every album he's put out since he went mainstream in 2014. He's a really good lyricist and I respect that. Especially in the world of many mumble rappers. I remember when I first heard Under Pressure, his first album. I really liked it despite him sounding kind of like Kendrick Lamar. Then he dropped The Incredible True Story. It was another solid album. Then came Bobby Tarantino which I bumped like all summer. In 2017 Logic dropped Everbody, which I was so hype I remember getting it the first day. I think I even managed to get it before I went to work that day. So basically Logic was this dude always talkin about his race who could do no wrong musically. Everybody was actually tied for rap album of the year for me with Big K.R.I.T.'s album, King Remembered in Time. So the streak for Logic continued into 2018 with Bobby Tarantino II. It was...

Logic returns in 2019 with what is probably his worst rap album. However its not bad its just not that lyrical or as interesting as some past projects. I really like "Homicide" which features Eminem and "Don't Be Afraid to Be Different" which features Will Smith. "Keanu Reeves" is a pretty catchy track.The album's production is strong and it has good replay value. I'm not really sure what to say about this project beyond the fact its starting to look like Logic  (a very prolific rapper); needs a break. Logic continues to impress me with YSIV or Young Sinatra 4. This is Logic's "Boom Bap Rap" sound and holy s*** does it sound greaet. The beats sound very fresh and organic. He really seems to be very much into his position as a rap great on this album. I can see why. I have loved all of Logic's albums that I've heard. His lyrical dexterity is really impressive albeit not perfect. I liked every song and the album has great replay ability too. Logic compares himself to the great Kanye West...he's kinda like the new Kanye West too. I can see the similarities. *Note* You wont see some albums here cause I only listed albums I heard, so no Carter V yet. Jay Z and Beyonce' (The Carters)- Everything is Love: A terrific album. The chemistry  between the two is incedible. I love how it sounds kind of like the classic albums from the 2002-2007 era. The songs "Nice", "Ape S***"  and "Black Affect" are very good. 5 stars Logic- Bobby Tarentino II-This one really grew on me. Logic spits that "T**ty rap" and its dope. I love the way he attacks tracks with ferocity on the mic. 4.5 Stars Kanye West -Ye-This crazy man makes good music! Ye was short and sweet. It sounds kinda like 4 stars Janelle Monae -Dirty Computer: This was the best album of last year. It hit all the points I look for. I'm so happy Janelle kept us waiting for this masterpiece. 5 Stars Nas -Nasir- Nasty Nas returned. But not with the rumored Trillmatic. Instead he came with a terrific 7 song album. Logic’s 2018 outing is good. Its got major hits like Contra and Everyday. The latter only grew on me after the video came out. I don’t have a lot to say bout the album. It’s a fun mixtape…but kinda doesn’t measure up to Everbody, Logic’s best album and the best rap album of 2017. AT THIS POINT, Logic is a top 3 new school rapper (Kendrick and J. Cole). Album is really good but I can’t wait for the official opfollow,up 2017’s best rap album Everbody. Who raps harder than BOBBY? Overall Rating 94 Grade A Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 24

Hallelujah- This is a terrific opener. Logic really goes in on this. He sings at first, and you know from T.I.T.S. Its an uplifting track. At the end we get a skit that introduces Adam and Neil Degrasse Tyson playing God, literally lol. The skit continues later in the album. 9/10 Everybody- I really like Logic’s flow this song. “Everybody people, everybody bleed, everybody need something..”  It’s basically just a regular Logic song.9/10 Confess- This is where race really becomes a topic of discussion. Logic is really on point here. The chorus and production is really different than most tracks on his last album. Sonically this sounds amazing. Killer Mike does a confessional rap spoken word thing at the end of the track…. 9.5/10 Killing Spree- I really like the chorus on this song. Logic raps about the state of what I’m assuming is the black man’s struggle. However it could be a rapper’s struggle. He also raps, “Everybody looking for the meaning of life through a cell phone s...

Logic’s 3 rd album is a beauty. Lyrically its not better, but the production is very very good. Also I liked every song. Logic borders on conscious rap here on most tracks. And when he’s not doing that he’s getting very personal, like on “Take it Back” where he gives you a rather long dialogue. The album has “Black Spiderman” which is like icing on a good cake. “Anziety” is a really good inspirational and personal song. The last song is really good too. If you heard his last mixtape, then you already heard a sample from “AfricAryan”…the “Oh my…oh My….” Part. Ultimately this will be in discussion for best rap album of 2017. Ok so there is a blog post coming that lists the BEST Rap albums of 2016, but this isn't it...rather the 3 albums I Liked the most all things considered.....It may suprise you.....maybe.... 3) The Game-1992 1992 features a very very introspective Game. He's lyrically on fire here and the production is really good too. I loved most tracks....okay i love all but Baby You. It seems The Game is indeed an all time great rapper now. 2)Logic-Bobby Tarantino What can i say about this? Its a great album/mixtape. There's no storytelling but the album is a ton of fun to listen to. I actually think its better than T.I.T.S. lol. Super Mario World and Slave 1 and 2 are great tracks. 1)Kanye West-The Life of Pablo If you follow me then you know i love Kanye i mean i even had the pink polo i thought i was Kanye lol....kidding. But no he is an all time great rapper. And this album is better than Yeezus(by .1 lol). So yeah its melodic and sporadic and just a blast to listen...

Logic has come out of the gates again in 2016….and this one is even better than T.I.T.S. his last album. It’s got no big flaws. Lyrically he’s on point as usual. The production is also pretty damn good. There’s the excellent Slave II and Slave songs. Also Pusha-T drops by for a great song. There’s also the excellent Super Mario World & Flexicution. Overall this may not be a themed body of work but its really fun to listen to. 9.4/10

The new album from Logic is a Sci-fi adventure with improved production over the debut album. However I felt Logic’s lyrics were great, but not stellar like last time. In fact this album isn’t quite as good as the debut overall, but its not far behind. There are mostly short songs here, unlike the debut, but there’s a couple of long ones; the title track, and City of Stars. The latter is a great and personal track. Logic is personal on this album, which seems to be one his trademarks as a MC. Depth wise I liked every track. It’s a fun listen which doesn’t leave much to be desired. The verdict: 9.3/10

Logic is a really interesting rapper. The dope lyricist with the razor sharp flow has a very creative debut.   Logic reminds me of Kendrick mixed with Drake. He has a nice smooth delivery. The album is filled with bangers, with the first song being the worst. The album features nice production from No ID. There’s even a woman doing some narration on some tracks. Its just an incredible mainstream debut. I think Logic is the next great rapper. There’s nothing that feels forced or really out of wack here. My favorite songs are Under Pressure, Soul Food, Never Enough, and Gang related. Final Score: 8.75/10 2nd Opinon: 9.5/10 (old System)
