My Favorite Rap Album 2016

Ok so there is a blog post coming that lists the BEST Rap albums of 2016, but this isn't it...rather the 3 albums I Liked the most all things considered.....It may suprise you.....maybe.... 3) The Game-1992 1992 features a very very introspective Game. He's lyrically on fire here and the production is really good too. I loved most tracks....okay i love all but Baby You. It seems The Game is indeed an all time great rapper now. 2)Logic-Bobby Tarantino What can i say about this? Its a great album/mixtape. There's no storytelling but the album is a ton of fun to listen to. I actually think its better than T.I.T.S. lol. Super Mario World and Slave 1 and 2 are great tracks. 1)Kanye West-The Life of Pablo If you follow me then you know i love Kanye i mean i even had the pink polo i thought i was Kanye lol....kidding. But no he is an all time great rapper. And this album is better than Yeezus(by .1 lol). So yeah its melodic and sporadic and just a blast to listen

My Favorite Movie 2016

First off this is not' a list post....I changed my mind. Here is my favorite movie of 2016...followed by 2 runner ups. 3rd Place: Deadpool Now Deadpool is an incredibly funny movie. Action packed too. I saw it earlier in the year like February. I havent watched it much but that's not because I didnt enjoy it. It's so raunchy and explicit....i loved it. 2nd Place: Star Wars Rogue One- What Star Wars didnt get the top spot like last year? Yeah....I'm not sure if it was just the fact I've only seen this once but hey its #2. Better than Star Trek and X-men for sure....It was so sad at the end..the acting and special effects were incredible. Winner: Captain America Civil War I paused when thinking of my favorite movie this year...but there's just no denying this film. The movie is greatness. It's kind of like a side movie to the eventual Avengers 3. There's no super villain this time around, but our heroes find themselves fighting. I'

Album Review: Kid Cudi Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin

Cudder has made a come back with this stellar album. It’s got no weak songs and is very addictive. This album is a terrific return to form with songs like Rose Golden, Frequency, Surfin, and Illusions. Wounds is another dope track. Lyrically he’s on fire. The melodies are so smooth compared to those found on Speedin Bullet To Heaven. This album just made me forget about SBTH. The production is really cool too; laid back and soothing. Ultimately it’s just as good as Man on the Moon 1….before you call me crazy listen to it…its a contender for album of the year. 9.7

Album Reivew: J. Cole-4 Your Eyez Only

J.Cole, the new Nas(yeah I said it), continues to release great music. The album is dense and deep. Yes lyrically its his best performance. The narratives J. Cole tells on songs like Ville Mentality and the last title track are just incredible.   Neighbors and Change are great too. Foldin Clothes is a dope record too but Déjà vu is my favorite. The production is pretty good too. The album is TOO SHORT. Yes that’s my only real complaint….2014 FHD was a tad bit better but this one(check my review) is just on par with Born Sinner (his 2 nd album). Cole World… Verdict: 9.6

The Microsoft side......:P

I'm a die hard sony fan boi and now I have an xbox one s lol. I was able to get it by selling my wii U BASICALLY....I wasn't playin the wii U much so this move (suggested by my best friend) made sense. I'm really liking the xbox so far. RIght now all I have is Gears of War 4 and Halo Collection. I hope to continue my gamer domination lol. BILL GATES WHATTUP! lol

Album Review: Joe Budden Rage & The Machine

Joe Budden comes out swinging on this album. Yes its better than All Love Lost, but its a lot different. Joe is well aware of his place in the game i.e. where his career stands. Uncle Joe is a tremendous track as is By Law. Wrong One is another stand out, but Flex is the worst track. The production is good but a weak point of the album. Lyrically Joe sounds fierce here and he’s an effective spitter. Ultimately this is a really solid album….matter fact his last few albums have been good…. 9.1

Album Review: Nas I Am...

Verdict: 9.0 I Am…is a good Nas album. Most songs are really good. The production is good, and his bars are great. I mean its Nas, what do you expect. Some songs are kind of boring though. I don’t know if that’s because I’ve heard better Nas songs or what. The album has a lot of guests too which include Aaliyah, DMX, Scarface, and P.Diddy. Hate Me Now is a great track, but it doesn’t really get better than Nas Is Like. On other songs like Undying Love and Small World Nas proves why he is perhaps the greatest storyteller rap has ever seen. It’s a great album, but only a good Nas album.

Album Review: Snoop Dogg Coolaid

The Snoop album is good despite leading with a god awful song Legend. There’s some really decent lyrics from Snoop here. He sounds rejuvenated, and poised unlike some of his other albums. The album’s production is better at about a 9/10 believe it or not. The album has too many songs however, being at 77 minutes in length. Despite this I am proud of his effort as he’s out done the BUSH album. Verdict: 9/10

Album Review: Jeezy Trap or Die 3

Jeezy returns with this pretty good mixtape. Its got good lyrics and beats. Depth wise its not bad either, I just expected more. It is INCREDIBLY SAFE music. Not daring at all really. However songs like Let Em Know are really dope. Overall I’d rather listen to last year’s Church in the Streets, but I guess this will do till a proper release. Guests include: Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and French Montana. 8.6

Album Review: Jay Z Hardknock Life, Vol. 2

The middle album in Jay-z’s volume trilogy. It has great lyrics and beats throughout. However the album is single heavy and filler heavy. There’s a good guest list too like DMX, Ja Rule, Jermaine Dupri, and Amil. Its got the monster songs Money Aint   a Thing, Can I Get A….,and HardKnock Life. Looking back this is the album that made Jay a commercial force in rap. It has better production than Vol. 3, but its my least favorite of the trilogy. Verdict: 8.7

My Thoughts: Rick Ross

Okay so here we are in the corner again. Breaking down one of my favorite rappers since 2006/2008, William Roberts II aka Rick Ross. Rick Ross didn't impress me at first with his 1st hit single, Hustlin'. I thought the song lacked creativity and lyricism. Both are true, but Ross at first was about hits and catchy records. The dirty south rapper became better on the mic around 2009 with his album Deeper Than Rap. His 2010 outing Teflon Don was a great great album. Style wise Ross is a dirty south rapper, but his sound is far more eclectic like most rappers these days. Ross's delivery has always been good. In fact I think he was one of the best rappers in the 2010-2011 time period. He has had a ton of guest features like on DJ Khaled, Drake,Lil Wayne, Kanye Wesst or Jay Z Albums. I've also seen Ross on some R&B albums you think he wouldn't be on. Questions: Has Rick Ross continued to improve in 2016. Is Rick Ross the "Biggie of my city" F

Album Review: Tinashe Nightride

This isn’t an easy album to review. Tinashe improves here from her debut album Aquarius. In fact this album came as a surprise to me as it was released kinda under the radar. The production is awesome, I mean like a 9/10. Her vocals are even more seductive than on the debut. Soul Glitch is a good example of this. Company is a banger. Spacetime is another highlight. There weren’t really any songs I couldn’t get with, but some didn’t stand out. What’s odd is she didn’t include Superlove a big time single. Ultimately I’d like to see her have more success. She reminds me of Aaliyah…the comparisons are undeniable here. Verdict: 9.2/10

My Thoughts Late 2016

Hey guys, i'm back. Just giving you something since I haven't been posting much lately. I been watching a lot of NBA Basketball. I must say the Lakers(My team) are doing okay this year. Russell Westbrook has dominated. He's a triple double machine! I recently saw the movie Dr. Strange....it was far better than I expected. But then again all Marvel movies are good...I loved the special effects and decent dialogue. Ah music....I've been listenin to so much new music but you can expect reviews on the following new music A Tribe Called Quest The Weekn'd Tinashe Danny Brown Joe Budden John Legend Jeezy Bruno Mars M.I.A. That is a lot so bear with me. I'm trying to decipher through a lot of  new music right now. Also expect a year end rap album list as I usually do. We gonna have a great winter baby, Great Winter!
