  I've seen a lot of NBA finals in my days but this one was weird....The team that lost the Spurs were up in every game by double digits so technically they could of won this series in no more than 5. I think it was a combination of youth and the fact that the Knicks are just a hell of a team this year. Brunson balled out all series despite heavy Spurs defense. Wemby had a tough go of it for 4/5 of the games. The game plan worked. I remember watching game 4 where the Spurs were up almost 30 points and still faltered and let the Knicks win....it was the biggest comeback ever in the finals. Which is truly insane. Well honestly I feel the Spurs will be back soon to the finals and they will be more experienced. The Knicks had far more playoff experience on their roster and it showed. I basically knew in game 5 that once the game was close in the fourth quarter the Knicks were gonna pull it out. So idk about Wemby being the best player in the league but he's at worst the 3rd best (B...

 I gotta admit this finals was far better than expected! Congrats to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a very competitive series. Game one was a huge comeback by the Pacers. Haliburton hit a huge game winner with literally less than .5 left in the game. After that game you thought hey maybe the Pacers could win this thing. Game 2 the Thunder dominated. It was a must win. Pacers stormed back and won game 3 by 9 points. Game 4 was a terrific game and honestly I think it was the series. Thunder stormed back to win a close one. SGA really played well in that one. The Thunder would also win game 5 rather easily. Game 6 was a different story. The Pacers easily won that one. I missed most of game 7 but Haliburton tore his Achilles in the first quarter.....so that was basically a wrap. However the Pacers fought back all game long but it was just too much to overcome..... To be honest I expected the Thunder to win in about 6 instead of 7....they were a 68 win team and it was their year. I d...

 Ok with the NBA finals about to start this week I thought I'd give my thoughts on this NBA playoffs so far.... First Round 1)Cavs vs. 8)Heat: This series was truly wash. The Cavs dominated the Heat which actually ended the season as the 10th seed, but they won the play in games. It just looked like the Heat didn't have enough firepower and the Cavs blew them out 3 of the four games. 4)Pacers vs. 5)Bucks: This series was interesting and a rematch of the first round matchup last year. Unlike last year tho....this one was only 5 games. The pacers won the first two then lost game 3. They ended up beating an injured Bucks squad.....No one really knew just how good the Pacers were this year yet. 3)Knicks vs. 6)Pistons: This was a great and very physical series. I honestly thought the Pistons had a good chance. They lost one game controversially. Ultimately it was a really close series that should of went 7 but Knicks got it done. 2)Celtics vs. 7)Magic: The Celtics the defending cham...

Here's a list of my favorite small forwards all time. 10) Ron Artest (Metta World Peace)- MWP was a really good player. I didnt really like him until he joined the Lakers for the 2009-2010 season. He's an elite defender, and oh yeah, a decent rapper too. 9) Lamar Odom-Odom was a swiss army knife kinda of player. He was good at scoring, rebounding and passing. I really think he woulda been a star on most teams but he played for the stacked Lakers in the late 2000s. 8) Paul George-PG gets a lot of respect from me. He became a star in a duel with Lebron James when Paul played for the Pacers. He's been really good for the Thunder too. George is a lockdown defender and just beyond decent shooter. 7) Paul Pierce-Pierce was a really good 2 way player who played mostly for the Boston Celtics. He was a deadly shooter and good defender too. Seeing him beat the Lakers in the 2008 finals was something to behold. 6) Elgin Baylor-EB is kinda of like a pre Lebron Lebron. He was ...

10) Klay Thompson- “Killa” Klay is a great 2 way player. He is almost a lockown defender and a terrific catch and shooter. I really like when he handles the playmaking for GSW but honestly with guys like Steph Curry and Iggy you don’t need him to do it. 9) James Harden-I once considered him to be overrated. James is an incredibly crafty shooting guard. I love the fact that he got an MVP last season. 8) Reggie Miller- Miller was an incredible 3 point marksman and a good defender also. I wonder who would win a 3 point shootout between Reggie, R. Allen, and K. Thompson. 7) Ray Allen- Allen might go down as one of the most clutch shooters in the history of the league. In his prime years with Bucks and Sonics he was perenial all-star type player. 6) Clyde Drexler-Clyde was like the poor man’s Michael Jordan. He could do it all but he only one ring while on the Rockets. 5) Manu Ginnobli-Manu was the heart and soul of the “Big 3” Spurs. He is a driver first and also a gre...

The Point guard is the floor general. Honorable Mentions: Pistol Pete Maravich & Oscar Robertson 10) Bob Cousy- The 6x Champ was no joke. He did lots of fancy passes and such. Stuff that is common place today. He was a good shooter which was kinda mandatory for PG back then. He was a 8x assist champion as well. He's the quintessential Celtics PG. 9) Jason Kidd- He's a 1 time champ but he played in a tough era. Kidd would always blow a kiss to his wife. He's an incredible passer and good defender too. I think his shooting improved as well. Kidd is a triple double machine (Pts-Reb-Ast) 8) Mike Bibby- Bibby was the best PG the kings had in their heyday in the early to mid 2000s. He was a big time shot maker like Derek Fisher. He wasn't really in his prime till like 2005-2006 season tho. There used to be a debate on if he or Steve Nash was the better player but I guess we know the answer to that. 7) Tony Parker-TP is the head of the SAS snake. He is their emot...

This series GOT ME INTO the nba. It was to this day the BEST I’ve seen overall. Kings were up 2-1. Up 2 in Staples. Horry hits a MIRACLE shot to beat Kings by 1 point….Im tellin you I saw it live. He saved the Lakers with that shot, big shot Rob. However, the lakers won the battle but not the west yet. Kings won game 5 by 1. So then Lakers win Game 6 barely. I think after a heartbreaking Game 6 loss (Refs did cheat lol) the Kings had nothing left in the tank.   I do believe 100% that a healthy Kings sweep the Nets in the finals. Or maybe win in 5. Series Grade: A+

    10) Lebron James - The chosen one is easily an all time great. But lets not put him in the top 5 yet. I do believe when LBJ retires he’ll be top….5 maybe top 3. He’s so decorated already…4 MVps, 3 finals MVPs….a scoring title. But Bron is a dynamo. He’s even added a halfway decent jumper these days. He is a terrific playmaker…and not afraid to show some killer instinct.     9) Tim Duncan- The big fundamental is the model for a big man. He could post up, get rebounds, block shots and shoot a reliable midrange jumper. Duncan had no flaws in his game…but his stats are not the most impressive among other all time greats. I chose Timmy over Hakeem the Dream because of the 5 rings….that’s about all.   8) Kobe Bryant -The black Mamba is my favorite player of all time. Before that it was Pippen lol. Yeah I liked Scotty lol. But Kobe is perhaps the most motivated nba player of all time. His game was flawless. He had masterful footwork, a deadly midrange shot...

I know you're just itching to see who wins this year in the NBA. Well 2k has already shown me the future lol...nah just kidding. But these are accuarte playoff positions with accurate player stats so lets get into it. First Round  Warriors beat Blazers in 7. Clippers beat Jazz in 6. Rockets beat Thunder in 6, Grizzlies in 6. Bulls beat Celtics in 7, Wizards over Hawks in 5. Raptors over Bucks in 7. Pacers beat Cavs in 7. I actually think Each Western result is possible in R1. But lets be real, Warriors in 5 and Grizzlies in 7 if they do win. The East isn’t as crazy as you think. I could see Boston losing to that Bulls team. Wizards in 7, Raptors in 6 or less and Cavs could lose in 7…..maybe. 2 nd Round Warriors sweep Clippers, Rockets win over Grizz in 7. Bulls beat Wizards in 6, Pacers beat Raptors in 6. Okay I really don’t think the Clippers would be swept. But I think the Rockets could beat Grizz in 7 and no less. There is no way in hell the Wizards ...

It's time for another edition of My Thoughts! In this edition, I will giving my two cents on this argument....Michael Jordan vs. Lebron James!My favorite player is Kobe, I'm not going to try and show favrotism nor will I just look at stats or as I feel stats are only part of the story. Did you notice Lebron James looks up to Michael Jordan? I mean why not? Michael is the G.O.A.T. (Right now and maybe forever). I mean He had #23 then he changed it to #6, now its back to #23! MJ wore 23 for most of his career. Imitation is a form of flattery. However I think Lebron is not like Kobe. Kobe said i'm going to be like Michael Jordan. I'm going to steal his moves. I'm going to be great Lebron has said that he's chasing MJ and wants to be known as the greatest player in history. Lets look at Lebron's career...his biggest accolades....: 3X league champion (2 with Miami Heat, once with Cleveland Cavaliers.), 4X MVP, 3X Finals MVP, 13 time all star, and 2003-04 R...

The 2016 NBA season was magical. The playoffs didnt get off to a great start, but it got intersting quickly....lets break it down round by round. 1st Round I'll start with the west....The Golden State Warriors were 73 and 9 in the regular season, the best mark in league history. They easily dispatched the Houston Rockets in 5 games....what was so remarckable is Steph curry didnt play for most of the games. Portland upset the L.A. Clippers in 6. I undertand tho, the clips had too many key injuries to win. OKC Thunder easily beat the Mavericks.....but at this point i wasn't too sold on OKC...The Spurs swept the Grizzlies. No surprise there. In the East, the Cavaliers barely beat the Pistons in 4. I really knew the Pistons had no chance. Atlanta dispatched Boston in 6 rather moderately. I think injuries played a factor. Miami barely beat Charlotte, i think home advantage played a factor. Raptors barely beat the Pacers....it was very very close. Both of those serieses went...

As you know, this was my favorite player’s last year in the NBA. I’m talking about Kobe Bryant of course. I’ve seen Kobe’s career from its early success winning 3 titles with Shaq (another favorite player of mine) to the lows of barely making the playoffs, to winning 2 more titles, and now the swan song seasons.                 It’s obvious Kobe wanted to be like Michael Jordan, I mean a lot of players did. How many actually did it though? Same height, similar games…Kobe got it done! I’ve seen him hit so many big shots. I felt really bad for him after the 2008 finals blowout loss in the finals to the Celtics. After that I kinda became a Lakers fan…                 The league just won’t be the same without the black mamba. And how fitting of a knickname for Kobe. A black mamba is perhaps the deadliest snake in the world…...

Ah yes, I am back my loyal followers...uh readers...most people dont...nevermind. I got a few things to talk about. 1)First off, let me give you my 2 cents on the shooting in Ferguson. I dont approve of the cop, but the victim was no angel either. Was race factor..yes...is this country still racist? Yes. I dont have a lot to say about it.... 2)I've been hearing that this year, 2014 hasnt' been a good year for rap music. Well i partly agree with that....I honestly think the main reason for this is that 2013 was a great great year for rap. There havent been that many great rap albums, but there have been a few that I really like. Well there's always next year right. I'm looking forward to Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar's albums. This year Lil Wayne will drop the Carter V and Nicki Minaj will drop her 4th album, Pinkprint. 3)Movie wise....its been a fairly dissapointing year imo. Sure i loved Transformers 4, and I enjoyed TMNT movie but thats about it. I am lookin...

This year's playoffs were incredible. Id like to give my thoughts on the rounds just like I did last year. Spurs and Pacers were #1 seeds.... 1st Round The first round was stellar. There were alot of game 7s. The Spurs went to G7 against a deceptively good Dallas team. Damian Lillard hit a 3pointer to get the Blazers to the second round. The Thunder had a very tough series against the Grizzlies. The Warriors might have got past the Clippers but the Clippers battled through off court adversity and won in 7. In the East, things were also interesting. The Pacers were my pick to win the East. They really struggled against a versatile Hawks squad, but they still won in 7 games. The Heat dominated an up and coming Bobcats squad in just 4 games. The Wizkids made short work of the Bulls. I expected that series to go the other way. The Nets managed to squeak by the Raptors. 2nd Round The 2nd round was a little more predictable. The Spurs dominated the Blazers and won in 5. In the ...

NBA Playoffs 2013   It was an interesting season this year in the NBA, but I will focus on the playoffs.   Round 1 The round one matchups were pretty predictable, for the most part. I’ll start with the West and work my way to the East. The Thunder wupped the Rockets, but they lost Westbrook, which really hurt them.             The Spurs beat my beloved Lakers. I mean the Lakers were too injured to fight a team so formidable. The Warriors upset the Nuggets, which I was glad to see. The Grizzlies beat the Clippers in just 6 games surprisingly. The Clippers seemed to be better than last year, but so were the Grizz.             In the East, Miami destroyed the Bucks which was no surprise to me. The Knicks beat Boston in a touch 6 game series. I think if the Celts would have had Rondo they would have won that one series.     ...

My favorite NBA Playoff Series of the last 7 years- these are not in order, the order doesn’t matter, but these are my picks. Lakers vs. Celtics 10 -This was a revenge series for the Lakers. They had to prove that they could beat the Celtics, the last team that defeated them in the postseason.     .The 08 finals is what made me a Laker fan for life . Go Lakers Go! Lakeshow! Spurs vs. Hornets 10 - This was an entertaining series….I wanted the Hornets to win, but ah well. CP3 and Tony Paker was a great matchup. Heat vs. Mavericks 06- This was a really cool series for me. I was pissed that the spurs lost to the mavs. The Mavs won 2 in a row, and everybody thought the Heat were done. Then Miami won a couple games…then they won again. Then they finally won in Dallas …..the Heat weren’t really underdogs but they said to themselves “we are a team, and we not gonna let the Detroit Pistons, or any other team with a better record beat us”. I realize its been a long time since I did a blog like this. Im going to start with LBJ winning his first ring. I think its well deserved...but i would have liked to see him get it in Cleavlandd.....Wade + Bosh + LBJ = Multiple championsihps? Well at least it equaled 2 finals appearnces. I really thought the Thunder would at least force a game 6..but if they had maybe Kevin Durant would have the ring now....I dont see how my Lakers, Mavericks and SPurs could be wupped so easily by OKC....ok enough on basketball. I've gotten the chance to see quite a few movies this year including Chronicle, the Avengers, Thats My Boy, Prometheus, and Abraham Lincoln, and even Men In Black 3. All of them were good but I really want to see the Avengers again.....it was an 10/10 kind of movie. Music wise there has been some good music this year like Melanie Fiona's 2nd album....oooooo Melanie Fiona is so hot.....but any way that album is fire. So who do u think your favorite rapper is if they were an NBA player?? I am looking more at style and impact on the game then personality of a nba player or rapper. These are my opinions, that don’t make it fact. 1)       Michael Jordan = 2pac: Theres no denying that it was 2pac that did more for rap then any other rapper, likewise wit MJ to basketball. There’s no denying that they were also the best overall.   MJ did it all. His competitive spirit got him 6 count em 6 championships! 2pac could do it all, from Conscious Rap(Brenda’s got a baby) to beef tracks(Hit Em Up), and songs for the ladies(How do U Want it).
