  4) Till the Casket Drops (88 )-A lot of people don’t like this album but it’s honestly pretty good. The production is pretty damn good, and the bars are good too. Clipse have seemed better on the mic tho lyrically. “Popular Demand” with Cam’ron is fire. I think “Kinda Like a Big Deal” with a prime Kanye West is the best song however. I like the feel of the club track “Eyes on Me” featuring Keri Hilson. Keri sounds kinda odd on this song tho. The album closer “Life Change” is great too. There are a few songs that are kinda average tho here. Favorite Song: Kind of Like a Big Deal. 3) Lord WIllin’(93) - I kinda grew up with this album. The 2 Virginia brothers did the state proud with this album. The album gets off to a great start with songs like “Young Boy”, “Virginia”, “Cot Damn” and the anthemic “Grindin’”. “Ma I Don’t Love Her” featuring Faith Evans is the song for the ladies. Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...

 I gotta admit that with this album King Push solidifies himself as a top 20 rapper ever. Yes he's that damn good. So how's this album tho? Well the first half is the better half but honestly this album has grown on me. It gets off to a good start with "Brambleton" where he takes a subliminal shot at Drake. "Neck & Wrist" featuring Jay-Z is a really good track. Jay never disappoints. Pusha's Lyrics are really good here on this album. One song I thought could be better was the Kid cudi and Kanye assisted "Rock N Roll". "Diet Coke" and "Call My Bluff" are also dope af. One song that kinda grew on me is "Scrape it Off" featuring Lil Uzi Vert...yeah odd feature choice. *Note* You wont see some albums here cause I only listed albums I heard, so no Carter V yet. Jay Z and Beyonce' (The Carters)- Everything is Love: A terrific album. The chemistry  between the two is incedible. I love how it sounds kind of like the classic albums from the 2002-2007 era. The songs "Nice", "Ape S***"  and "Black Affect" are very good. 5 stars Logic- Bobby Tarentino II-This one really grew on me. Logic spits that "T**ty rap" and its dope. I love the way he attacks tracks with ferocity on the mic. 4.5 Stars Kanye West -Ye-This crazy man makes good music! Ye was short and sweet. It sounds kinda like 4 stars Janelle Monae -Dirty Computer: This was the best album of last year. It hit all the points I look for. I'm so happy Janelle kept us waiting for this masterpiece. 5 Stars Nas -Nasir- Nasty Nas returned. But not with the rumored Trillmatic. Instead he came with a terrific 7 song album. To my reader. I hope you are not reading this not having follow fellow Virgnian, Pusha T. He’s dope af. The man has his own distinct rapping style i.e. His own lane. Before the Drake beef (which he won) he was probably the best barely known MC on the planet. Daytona is the first of Kanye’s Affirmative action short cds lol. And it might be the best…idk I have only done the Nasir album from Nas so far. I loved all 5 cds in the Affrimative action program tho lol. Every song goes hard…but its so DAMN SHORT! So, NO its not better than My Name is My Name, which tied for my 2013 Rap Album of the year (Eminem-MMLP2) but this is very good. “Infared” leaves Drake and his fans feeling sick. Ironically I had NO CLUE these 2 had beef. Maybe I shoulda noticed King Pusha and Drake are never on a song together…. “I don’t tap dance for the crackers and sing Mammy” …damn bro. The Verdict: Its a solid 9.6/10 King Push has returned after a very good 2013 outing. This is supposed to be a prequel to the real King Push coming later…but this is a really good album. Lyrically Push is on point as usual. The production is also solid. He’s the new president of GOOD Music, and this album flows well. Its not quite as good as his 2013 album tho. Most songs aren’t excellent, but the biggest thing is the album is just over half an hour. I’d take 2 more songs from Push anyday. The Dream had the best features here…along with Jill Scott.

Pusha T made a bold claim that this album would be one of the best of the year, and he wasn’t bluffing. The album just hits hard from every angle. There aren’t any real weaknesses. Im sure one of the hardest decisions Pusha had to make was when to use Kanye beats or Neptunes beats. Regardless the album is really executed well. Pusha is a great lyricist who just seems to keep it simple and effective. The production is great here. I liked every song, but it’s not as addictive as some albums but that’s a short list. You need to listen to this ASAP if you haven’t already. I give this album a 9.75/10, Its a contender for album of the year.

Kanye West & G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer Track by Track Review   To the World- “ R.Kelly and the God of Rap sh**in on you, Holy crap,” raps Kanye on this first track. It’s really catchy. Teyana Taylor does a nice job also. This song is a decent opener. 8.5/10   Clique- This is one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s even better than 3 Kings from the Rick Ross album in my opinion. Big Sean goes first and raps over this dope and dark beat. Jay-z is the star of this song. I haven’t heard him rap this hard since Blueprint 3. Kanye finishes up the song with a cool verse. 9.5/10   Mercy- The lead single is pretty interesting. There’s a lot of different elements here that make it more than just another rap song with more than 3 rappers on it. Big Sean goes first and does a good job with lines like “Ass-State” & “Ass-quake” lol. Then Pusha T goes next with a hot verse….he uses “Ho” a lot. Then Kanye steals the show with an exciting cha...
