Remembering Kobe Bryant

My heart was heavy when I heard the news this past Sunday. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash yesterday. My condolences to the Bryant family, NBA family, and the other victim's families. The news was just almost unreal and horribly saddening. Kobe was my favorite player in the NBA... easily. I remember seeing his games with Shaq and seeing him win 3 championships back to back. I truly became a Laker fan when I saw him loose in the 2008 Finals to the Boston Celtics. I felt sorry for Kobe honestly. It made me root for him and then I saw him win a title without Shaq and then another title without Shaq. The last one over the Boston Celtics at that. And who could forget his last game where he scored 60 against the Utah Jazz to close out that season. I'm also forgetting the 81 point game he had in 2006. I know this is a celebrity death but Kobe was like a hero to me. I saw him hit so many big shots and play in so many big games. I gotta mention the

Album Review: The Game- Born 2 Rap

The Game's final album isn't the glorified album I was hoping for. For one its too many songs....25 tracks to be exact. Lyrically Game is consistent throughout. There are some real gems here like "The Code" which features 21 Savage. The album starts and ends with Ed Sheeran features but I was only feeling the album's closer "Roadside" out of those 2 songs. The production is good on this album but it doesn't sound very aggressive like with most Game albums, instead its very laid back. "Welcome Home" features the late Nipsey Hussle and is another stand out. Overall this album has some good tracks but its too long of a listen....Alot of this album could have been cut imo. This album doesn't have the most replay value falling short of 1992 which was an excellent album. I wish this wasn't his last album and who knows maybe he'll make another... Album Review: Nas-Lost Tapes 2

Nas returns with a follow up to 2002's Lost Tapes. The album is decent but a lot of it sounds like typical Nas. The album starts strong with some good tracks like "No Bad Energy" and the excellent "Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)". The album is good lyrically and the beats aren't bad either. Unfortunately most of this album isn't all that interesting. I mean look at songs like "Tanasia" which is awfully generic. The first Lost Tapes was dope but this one is just decent. It's a shame cause I really liked his Nasir album from 2018. We've heard some things good and bad but now we need a verdict. Lyrics 23 Beats 21 Depth 21 Tilt 21 Verdict: 86

Video Game Review: Pokemon Shield

This post is overdue but here it is. I am a long time Pokemon fan going all the way back to Red and Blue for Gameboy. However Yellow would be the first one I would own fore Gameboy Color. Anyways I couldn't wait to get my hands on a new Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch. The game is set in the Galar region which is like the Great Britain of the Pokemon world. I really thought the game looked great....from the NPCs, the environments, and of course the Pokemon. I found the battle animations to be decent.....I mean they looked better than Pokemon Stadium's animations. One of the major beefs many of the fans had with the game is they cut out like half of the known Pokemon from the other games. I mean that didn't really bother me that much as I'm more of a original 151 guy. Throughout my journey I was constantly trying to figure out what type an enemy Pokemon was. The great thing about this game is that it reminds you what the enemy type is and what moves are Super ef

My Thoughts: Tinashe

Tinashe is a beautiful singer from Los Angeles. I first heard of her when I heard the hit single "2 On". I have actually listened to that song over 400 times which is a record for R&B singles to date for me. Tinashe imo is kinda of like the late Aaliyah. Her songs are kinda of similar and she dances really well. Tinashe would drop Nightride in 2016. It was really good; like a 9/10. It had hits like "Company", "Soul Glitch", and "Touch Pass" on it. I don't think the album sold that well. Despite this Tinashe went on to drop Joyride in 2018. The album was her best imo...even better than Aquarius. I don't think it sold that well however. Tinashe wasn't one to quit and she dropped a fourth album, Songs For You, late in 2019. The album was pretty good. I think she's a very resilient artist to not give up even though her label dropped her after Joyride didn't sell well. Tinashe is way too underrated and is definitely one
