  4) All I Have (84)- Amerie’s first album isn’t bad but its clear she hadn’t really developed her signature sound yet. I’ll admit I’ve probably listened to this one the least. The first song, “ Why Don’t We Fall in Love” is amazing. Then there’s “ Talkin’ to Me” which is really good too. “I Just Died” is really emotional too. There are some highs here but a lot of mid songs tho….Overall its a good project. 3) Touch (93)-I really like this album. It has Amerie’s huge hit “1 Thing” on it. “All I Need” is a sultry song too. Then there’s her bad girl sound on the “Touch” song. That Lil Jon beat is fire! “Not the Only One” is another highlight as Amerie confronts her lover and says she’s cheating too. You can hear the go-go uptempo sound again on “Talkin’ About”. The production as a whole is just better here than on her debut. “Rolling Down My Face” is another strong deep cut. 2) Because I Love It (96)-This was the album that really made me a fan of Amerie. Bracket C 2) Mariah Carey vs. 15)Kehlani:  We have a matchup between two very different artists. MC a legend vs. The still up and coming Kehlani. This could be interesting.  Vocal Ability- The Songstress Supreme wins this category but I like Kehlani’s edginess. 7-3 Albums- This is hard to call. All in all Kehlani has some good albums but Mariah has a lot more. I’m going to say what ive heard from Kehlani has been just about on par with the best of MC, plus Kehlani doesn’t have any duds yet. 5-5 Collaboration- This is where things are again hard to call. In her prime MC’s features were much sought after. Kehlani’s features are always pretty good too tho. Both artists are distinctive here. 5-5 Versatility-  Call me crazy but I feel this is where Kehlani really brings it. Amerie’s In Love & War Review             Amerie’s 4 th album came out in 2009 originally. It is, in my opinion one of the best sounding R&B albums in Contemporary R&B. I really like Amerie’s style and she really diversifies her sound here.   The album’s first half is very high tempo with songs like Heard Em All, Higher, and Dangerous. The middle part is where things slow down a bit. She is joined by Trey Songz on Pretty Brown which is a remake of an old song. Fabolous joins her on the next song, More Than Love. The album slows down into very emotionally charged songs like Different People, The Flowers, and Dear John. The latter song, being one of the more bitter songs against a former lover.             Overall I feel this album just showcases Amerie.
