Star Wars Blog: Episode I: The Phantom Menace

As you may know, the big homie George Lucas has put Star Wars back out in theaters, this time in 3D. I havent seen it in 3D yet(nor do i Plan to ) but anyways, i would like to review each of GL's Star Wars movies...and I'll start with Episode I. What I like: Phantom Menace is a good start to the series. It does a good job of introducing many of the characters from the original trilogy like Anakin, Obi Wan, and Yoda....and it gives you a new cast of characters that are pivotal to the story like Padme(Queen Amidala), Qui Gon Jin, and Darth Maul. The podrace is really fun, as is the final battle at the end which basically saves it from being an average film. What I didnt like: Jar Jar binks, Jar Jar's people.....i mean come on? Im not going to rant on him but I will say that the movie suffers from bad dialogue, and its a somewhat slow in some parts. ALso we get to see (and hear) so little from Darth Maul. Overall: This is an average star wars movie, but its a good movi

Young Jeezy's Discography

Young Jeezy Discograpy The Raekwon of the South has a very good discography. I”ll go through each album and rank them also…. Lets Get It: Thug Motivation 101 :The album that solidified Jeezy as a true rap star. This was one of my favorite albums back in late 2005(that’s when I copped it). Jeezy raps slow and some of his punchlines are predictable. Also the album is tad bit too long. Complaints aside this is a really good album. Jeezy has an impressive guest list here: Jay-z, T.I., Bun B, and Trick Daddy, Lloyd, and Young Buck. The beats are also fairly impressive. Some songs are a little too similar but this is a great start to a career regardless. Rank #3 The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102: This has got to be one of the most difficult albums I have ever reviewed. The first few songs are completely lacking in creativity. Then the album picks up with I Luv It, Go Getta, 3 AM….well it actually just goes up from there. This album has a different sound than TM101…an

My Favorite Kanye West Songs(Top 25)

25) Amazing: 808’s and Heartbreak - Kanye is joined by Young Jeezy. This song has a really eerie feel to it. Jeezy’s verse isn’t bad. This song doesn’t really fit on the album if you ask me, but its one of my favorite songs by Mr. West. 24) Robocop: 808s - This song has a really cool beat. The song is almost new territory for Kanye singing auto-tune on the entire record. 23) Crack Music: Late Registration - Kanye is joined by the Game here. It’s a lil disappointing that Game doesn’t spit a verse but this is still a great song. The song’s elements blend together really well. 22) Get Em High: College Dropout - West is joined by Talib and Common. Talib’s verse seems to be the best….Common’s verse didn’t impress me that much when I first heard it. The beat has a mysterious feel to it. 21) Monster:My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Its hard to not like a song where West is joined by Jay-z, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj.   It’s a twisted creepy swagga like us type

The Matrix Trilogy

The Matrix: This is what started it all. The movie is known to have started the revolutionary slowing down of time effect. This movie is amazing. I wont go over the plot but I think I found a plot hole. During the movie the machines are trying to unlock Morpheus’ mind to find out the codes to Zion ’s mainframe but in the latter movies, the machines know just where to find Zion (the last human city).             Complaints aside, I love the flow of the film. It’s the best in the trilogy but not by a whole lot. The special effects and dialogue are excellent. There just weren’t that many movies like this one when it first came out in 1999. My favorite part has to be where Neo took on Agent Smith 1 on 1. Make no mistake I think this movie is in the conversation for best sci-fi movie of all time. Rating: 10/10 The Matrix Reloaded : How do you follow up a sci-fi classic? You make the sequel with even better special effects and elaborate fight scenes. There are some reall

V.G. Blog-The PS3 Elite: Vol. 1

Here are some of the PS3's best games and my reviews for them. Metal Gear Solid 4 MGS4 is, i think, the best game or the past few years, if not decade. The game is just plain beautiful. You'll notice that when you watch a cutscene(which you'll spend most of your time doing), the graphics look the same in the scene as when you play the game!! I've never seen a game look so polished, but yet so gritty at the same time. So it looks great, but how does it play? I've played MGS1 and 3, and those are good games, but the controls are clunky. Shoothing someone is a chore; but not in this one. Just hold the L1 button and press R1 to start shooting. The guns are also customizable....even though i must admit I didnt customize or buy weapons very often. Every control in the game just feels right....like when you want to camofloge yourself just simply go next to a wall or object and your octocamo will do the work for you. That is a big improvement over the 3rd game. In

Lupe -Lasers: Track by Track Review

Lasers Letting Go - A pretty mellow track. Lupe speaks of inner conflict. The chorus is nice, and the beat fits pretty well.   8/10 Words I Never Said - Lupe gets right into some conspiracy stuff and he also speaks his mind on Presidenet Obama as well as some other things. The song has a hot beat and a great chorus. 9/10 Till I Get There - Lupe speaks introspectively about his experiences. The beat is decent, and I really like the chorus. He seems to be struggling with stardom on this song. 8/10 I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now- A really cool song….Lupe turns it up a little bit lyrically here. The chorus fits right in. The beat has some nice flashy elements to it. 9/10 Out of My Head - Lupe is joined by Trey Songz for the first time. Trey’s chorus really makes the song, Lupe’s verses aren’t that bad though, but they’re a little dumbed down from his usual greatness. 7/10 The Show Goes On - This song seems to have everything going for it. It’s inspirati
