Chesstown King's Reviews and Thoughts

I thought I'd finally drop another movie review. I recently rewatched Tropic Thunder, the 2008 satirical comedy action movie. This is generally one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I don't think you could make a movie like this today with things being so woke! The set up here is that you have actors in the movie that are supposed to be making a Vietnam War movie. Early in the movie production on their set things go bad. The guy who wrote the (fictional Tropic Thunder) book suggests to the director that they need to take their entitled actors and "Put them in the real shit" to make their movie good.  The movie's casting is absolutely stacked. You have Ben Stiller who plays Tugg Speedman. Tugg was once a big action star with his Scorcher films but lately they've cooled at the box office. Tugg also played in a movie called Simple Jack where he plays a mentally challenged farm hand that can talk to animals....(yeah LOL). So he basically accepts the role...

Transformers The Last Knight Review                 Transformers 5 had an odd whole to fill. Age of Extinction was arguably the worst movie by far. (But still good) Last Knight is just as long I think and features tons of locations and of course special effects. Mark Walberg returns for a main human role, as Craig Yaeger, but he’s far more important to the story this time.                 I’m not going to go through all the details of this movie. That would be honestly be very difficult. The movie has so many different story locations and a lot happens. Basically, its further into the future and the TRF rules much of the world. Transformers are still outlaws which I don’t understand. Optimus Prime left to find his creator(s) at the end of Age of Extinction, so he’s not around.       ...

1.        Star Wars Revenge of the Sith-Originally ROTJ was my favorite star wars but this one takes the cake. Its action packed, and it wraps up the first 6 movies beautifully. I really think the action puts it over ROTJ for me. This movie does not get old. Better than AOTC and TPM put together! 2.        The Matrix-The Matrix is another movie that is up there for best sci fi movie of all time. It’s pacing is a little slow, but other than that; Flawless and incredibly trend setting. 3.        Star Wars Return of the Jedi-Originally my favorite movie. I love this movie. Maybe I’ve seen it more than any other OT movie. The Return of Anakin Skywalker at the end is greatness. 4.        Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen-I really like everything about this movie. It’s got a decent story but that fight in the forest is still the best TF fight scene to date…and that...
