My Thoughts: Early 2019

There are a few things on my mind for this session of My Thoughts. Let me break it down in terms of Political, Music, Gaming, and Misc. Thoughts. I really try and keep up with (American) Politics. The much awaited Mueller Report was supposed to condemn Donald Trump, who is easily the worst president of we've ever had. This president just doesn't care. I mean its obvious. He cares about his OWN racist agendas and his OWN party's interests. Take the southern border crisis for example. It's just a huge mess. We've got migrants basically being detained at the border and he's not letting them in. Trump also claims a border wall will fix these issues. It's like dude wtf. A border wall wont fix anything....most illegal stuff comes into the country at the point of entry. Music wise, I am still playing catchup. I bought a lot of music last year like Christina Agiullera, Kanye's Short Albums, Mac Miller, Lupe Fiasco, I basically have so much new music its

Why I'm starting to like "Mumble" or New Age Rap

I guess I've been really hard on what some may call mumble rap in the past. To be honest my preferences as of late 2018 early 2019 have changed a bit. The music isnt really intelligle, but its really easy going. I gotta admit songs of guys like Migos and Travis Scott are really easygoing and fun to listen to. Let's not forget how old heads looked at my era of rap. Yes i'm talking about the early 2000s to early 2010s...aka the bling era. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of guys that grew up with 2pac, Nas, Jay Z, Biggie Smalls, and WU Tang clan that thought my era of rappers were wack. Its just the way things go. In the bling era gangsta rap was really popular, but rappers like Kanye West and Lil Wayne helped transition to the era of rap music we have now. I really dont think this was intentional, but its just what has caught on and become popular. Trap Rap as its called is really easygoing and I'm starting to like it....more. What are your thoughts on this obvi

My Thoughts- Relationship Advice

I feel like blogging about how I feel opposed to always reviewing something.I don’t really give relationship advice often. It seems like I don’t follow my own advice sometimes. Like I always know what to tell a friend but I shoulda followed my own advice. So I’m going to say all that as a disclaimer, but what I go into by mostly personal advice. Relationships are what I believe in. It’s why you holla at that fine girl. Or it’s why you in her dms. To be with her. What does it really mean to be in a relationship? No this is not about Netflix and chill. A random mindless sexual interaction is probably causing more harm than good. I’ve never done that but from what I hear one person has the mentality of hit and quit, while the other wants to form a relationship. Alas I’ve gone off on a tangent. I think relationships offer a tremendous amount of things. You have someone to talk to, someone that you can share feelings with...it’s someone you can share your life with. No relationship is p

The Top Rap Albums of 2018

15) Drake-Scorpion: Drake's Scorpion is a good album, but its just too much....Drizzy. Its like he's not bringin anything new to the game at this point. The man needs a creative break. He's dropped projects alot in the past 10 years. 14) Lil Wayne Carter V:Carter V is finally here and its good. I love how focused Weezy sounds lyrically. Most songs are good but like the Drake project it gets kinda to be too much Wayne. I kinda wish we could get one more album from him but he's given us enough tbh. 13) Meek Mill-Championships: Meek Mill's album was  nice surprise. I loved how fresh it sounds even tho a number of songs use old samples. The numerous guest spots are generally well used. I dont listen to him a whole lot but now I think he deserves more of my time. 12) Eminem-Kamikaze:This album had some bad reviews...but I knew I was gonna cop it. This is a really good album. It kinda reminds me of Recovery, but its well...meaner. Eminem lashes out at the same fans

Open World Games: Horizon Zero Dawn and Zelda Breath of the Wild

I realize the lateness of this post. But I really want to bring to the attention  the greatness of these 2 videos games.I havent beaten either game yet to date but the reason for that is well....just complicated. Life has gotten in the way.  I got Horizon Zero Dawn about 2 years ago. Its a beautiful game with lots of really cool locations. The fighting system is really dope too. A little 2 dimensional but basically divided between a wide assortment of ranged weapons and your spear. The way the main character interacts with environment is really dope too. There's not a lot Alloy can't do. Alloy's adversaries are tough and varied. I got Zelda Breath of the Wild just last year. The world is really really big. I just love the way the game seems to have so many ways to be played. Its a truly non linear experience. Link has lots of combat options too. I don't really like the way your weapons break and you have to go get new weapons...I've gotten used to it

Kanye West & Kid Cudi- Kids See Ghosts

It’s beginning to look like musically Kanye and Kid Cudi can do no wrong musically. Especially Kanye. The album is part of that 7 song album short spectacle like the Nas and Pusha T albums. The first song has Kanye just barking like a dog.....and it’s just f***in hot. The album is really good and better than Ye which was good also. I...I honestly wanted more here. I mean more tracks. MOs def joins them and it’s all good. I guess that’s why they call it G.O.O.D. Music. That’s all folks. Lyrics: 24 Beats 23   Depth:25  Tilt: 24 Verdict: 96

Michael Jackson's Top Songs

I didnt review the songs or anything. I just listed my favorites.  10) The Way You Make Me Feel- This song has a really cool beat. MJ is sprung as heck in this song. “Just kiss me baby and tell me twice, that you’re the one for me”.  9) Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough- MJ’s first solo hit. The beat is fire, and the singing is something else…can’t he lp but think of Rush Hour 2 when I hear this. 8) Rock With You- This is one of the smoothest songs ever created. “When ya feel that heat, and we gone ride the boogie…” This one is made for the slow dances! 7) Wanna Be Startin Somethin- A terrific song, that I really didn’t listen to much when I was kid. Its long, but full of energy. MAMA SAY MAMMSUH! 6) You Rock My World – A terrific song, after MJ’s prime. It’s a very smooth, and simple song. Darkchild produced it. I really find the video quite comical. 5) Smooth Criminal- MJ’s gangster song lol. I’m not too sure wat the real theme is here to this day. But this is one bad a** song. “You’ve

A List of My All Time Favorite Rappers

Note: This list has been known to fluctuate but I feel the rappers listed are my all time favorites. Lets get into it! Honorable Mention: J. Cole, Logic, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Lupe Fiasco 10) Nicki Minaj & Drake : It may seem odd to see 2 rappers in the top 10 spot but I feel both rappers have not only revolutionized the game but also held Young Money down in Lil Wayne's absence. Nicki is in my opinion the most dominant female rapper we've ever seen. Drake is perhaps the greatest pop rapper we've ever seen minus Kanye West. Top Albums: Pinkprint & Queen/Nothing Was the Same , Views 9) 2pac: It may seem odd to have 2pac this far back but the GOAT is...not my favorite rapper. My statement revealed alot if you've been following my rap debate courtrooms. I feel Pac just had the complete package. He could make gangster anthems, love songs, and conscious rap songs too. Top Albums: Me Agaisnt the World, All Eyez on Me 8) Ludacris: Ludacris is one of m
