Album Review: Ella Mai-(Self Titled Album)

This album is a very smooth listen. Ella Mai is a beautiful woman who makes beautiful music. "Boo'd Up" the lead single is great as are other songs like "Gut Feeling" and "Close" and "Dangerous".She keeps guests spots to a  minimal. There's only John Legend, H.E.R., and Chris Brown. I found almost every song to be quality, but the production is rather standard. All in all this is a good R&B album that you should check out. Lyrics: 23 Beats: 21 Depth: 24 Tilt: 24 Verdict: 92

Album Review: Logic-Confession of a Dangerous Mind

Logic returns in 2019 with what is probably his worst rap album. However its not bad its just not that lyrical or as interesting as some past projects. I really like "Homicide" which features Eminem and "Don't Be Afraid to Be Different" which features Will Smith. "Keanu Reeves" is a pretty catchy track. The album's production is strong and it has good replay value. I'm not really sure what to say about this project beyond the fact its starting to look like Logic  (a very prolific rapper); needs a break. The album isn't bad tho, but I just couldnt help but want more. Lyrics: 22 Beats: 23 Depth: 22 Tilt: 23 Verdict: 90

My Thoughts: Star Wars

I have reviewed Star Wars stuff often on this blog but it dawns on me; I've never given you guys my thoughts on SW and its fandom. Let's back up. I have been a fan of star wars ever since 1998. I remember a family member got me the original trilogy on VHS. They had no idea what they were doing! lol The OT was absolutely amazing. I remember I finished A New Hope that night but I had seen about half of the first one before over another family member's house. I really liked how tense and creative Star Wars was (A New Hope). As good as that was I saw Empire Strikes Back the next day. The mighty plot twist involving Darth Vader blew me away. I think I saw Return of the Jedi right after that...i'm not sure. I remember really liking Luke Skywalker. I didn't really like Vader that much at the time. Not long after those days I heard there was gonna be a new Star Wars movie called Phantom Menace. I was really hype for it. I really enjoyed the movie but I could kind

Album Review: Alessia Cara-The Pains of Growing

After about 3 years we get another album from the young and talented Ms. Cara. This album is solid with lots of great songs like "Trust My Lonely", "Not Today", and "Nintendo Game".  Like on her last album, She sings of her various vulnerabilities. The songs are easy going and very relate-able. Her singing is certainly the strong point; along with the lyrics. I gotta say I liked virtually every song. I found "7 Days" very interesting as she wonders about God and how he lives. The production isn't bad but only a firm 8/10. So I guess you're wondering should you get this easygoing RnB album. Yes you should. She shows growth here even if I've scored it slightly lower than her debut album. Lyrics: 23 Beats: 20 Depth: 24 Tilt: 23 Verdict: 90

Album Review: Christina Liberation

2018 was a year that a lot of already established artists found success again. Christina was just another one of them. Liberation is a terrific album filled with feminist messages. Songs like "Fall in Line" and "Maria" are excellent. I really enjoyed the varied sounds of this album like the reggae sounds of "Right Moves". Christina really has a powerful singing voice. I really think she has one of the best voices I've ever heard. The album is dope but I'm not sure its her best album....i'd have to listen to her older ones again. Video game blog: Super Mario Odyssey

I’ve been playing my Nintendo switch for some time now. I’ll review the system soon. This post is about Super Mario Odyssey and we’ll how amazing it is. The game seems simple on the surface but it’s actually very complex. What makes it very complex is the Magical hat Mario wears. Mario’s Cap (I forget the name) has a mind of its own. You use it to take control of enemies and also to interact with your environment. It’s a really deep system. I found myself taking control of a tank to take on a vicious boss in New Donk City. NDC is a dope city also....it’s basically showing you there are humans in Mario’s world, and well; he’s not human lol. The game seems to have a perfect difficulty as well. As you know I love Zelda botw also but that game is hard af. Mario Odyssey bosses go down in 3 hits....with them getting very aggressive after 2. There was a couple times where I wasn’t sure how to beat a boss....you generally just have to use that magic hat. I haven’t beaten the game yet
