Kendrick Lamar's good kid, M.A.A.D. City Review

Kendrick Lamar burst on the scene in 2011 with a very good debut album Section 80. While Section 80 was really good, this album outdoes it in every aspect. The album is very well excuted as Kdot tells a story throughout the album. Yes after this there will be comparisons to 2 Pac, and rightfully so. The thing is the Game might not be the best rapper out west anymore, as this album is better than Game’s albums. He’s done it with decent beats and great   lyrics.   This album has some real bangers like The Recipe, Swimming Pools(Drank), Money Trees, good Kid, and the infectious Backseat Freestyle. Every song is good or great. Its great to see another great rapper come out of the Westsiiide. I really will be listening to this album for quite a while.  I give this album 9.75/10. Its almost perfect.....the beats weren't phenomanal but otherwise incredible effort Kdot.

2 white rappers: 1 review(Yelawolf & Mac Miller)

Ah Eminem has signed another white rapper……Yelawolf is a good rapper but he seems to shine on certain kinds of songs. He struggles on the “love” songs but the introspective songs are good. This is not an easy album to review. The guest spots are well used such as Eminem, Gangsta Boo, Kid Rock, Lil Jon, and others. This album has a southern feel to it, but it doesn’t sound like your typical dirty south album. Overall this is a good debut album. I look forward to hearing more of that Bama slang lol.   I'm going to give this album a 8/10. Its not bad for a debut album.       Man this guy is young. I’m older than him…..He is not a bad lyricist but Mac Miller doesn’t really talk about much. There is no song here that is really really awesome but there’s some good tracks. I think Mac Miller just hasn’t experienced enough in life to make a very interesting album with more varied topics. Complaints aside this is a good debut album. It will be interesting to see what he t

My Thoughts Vol. 3

I think the Patriots will return to the Super Bowl(I'm dissing my Steelers but oh well) I think Avengers was the movie of the year(I haven't seen Batman yet) My favorite rap album ever (in case you were wondering) is Kanye West's Graduation album I think Obama will have a 2nd term, but this time the race will be much closer. I have to strike down what my 1st blog said(yes the very 1st one from 2011); the Nintendo 3ds is amazing and worth buying. I have bought 3 albums recently.....G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer, Pharaoh Monche's W.A.R., and Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor 2. The latter i shouldnt have bought since i had already downloaded it and the cd case was blank or just black. I think Nas will hold on to win album of the year from me, unless Kendrick Lamar, Big Boi, or Kid CUdi have something to say about it. Despite how difficult my school semester is I still find myself gettin good grades....I THINK this will continue. I am still lo

Lupe's Food & LIquor II: The Great American Rap Album

This is Lupe’s best album yet! My biggest complaint is that when u buy the album I don’t see any information about the album’s booklet. With that aside, Lupe raps like he had something to prove after the somewhat disappointing L.A.S.E.R.S. album. The result is another extraordinary lyrical performance from Chai-town’s best lyricist.   I like every song here. The album is complex, and has great subject matter, and the beats aren’t bad either. I really ITAL(Roses), Lamborghini Angels, and Cold War. Lupe gives you a lot to think about on this album. Overall Great American Rap album is just the album Lupe needed to silence the haters that say he had fallen off. Overall i give this album 9.5/10,  Great job LUPE!

The Best rap albums of 2010

Okay so i basically made this list about 2 years ago. I never finished it. I'm going to look at it in retrospect. In other words you'll find some comments on the album that you wouldnt have found in 2010. Enjoy!     10)Drake-Thank Me Later: This was one of my favorite albums in 2010. I believe it’s better than Take Care for a couple reasons. The features are more varied, and I don’t have to skip any songs really. Drake’s debut album is basically about his adjustment to stardom. Ironically Drake has the #10 spot on my best rap albums of 2011 blog also..   9) B.o.B.-The Adventures of Bobby Ray: This album was a real treat for me. It was way better than I expected it to be. B.o.B’s debut is a very creative album. The album maybe a little too popish for some but ultimately its just a nudge above the 10 th album on this list. 8) Rick Ross- Teflon Don: This is, in my opinion, Ross’s best album to date. It starts out great and doesn’t let up much. Ross’s
