Not too long ago I beat God of War for PS4 or God of war 4 as it's often called. I am a God of War veteran so to speak as I've beaten all the major games...even the ones for PSP. I like a lot about this new direction the series took in 2018. Let's get into it. The game is set in ancient Norway in the realm of Midgar. The setting is a breath of fresh air. This means new settings and new enemies. Also Kratos has a son that accompanies with you most of the time named Atreus. Atreus is an archer and he launches them with a single press of a button but later on in the game he will do more by himself in combat. The relationship between father and son is a major theme of this game.  Our anti hero Kratos is more subdued than he's ever been here and tries to teach his son the right way to do things. Horizon Zero Dawn -HZD is an incredible game. The main character, Alloy is very likable. She must fight these anamilistic robots. I Love the way the game's fighting system is. Its basically divided into close range a spear attacks and a myriad of other ranged attacks. I love the mystique of the post apocolyptic world the people live in. I have yet to beat this game to date, but one day soon I hope to. 9.75/10 Zelda A Link Between Worlds - This is a terrific Zelda built off the guideline of A Link to the Past...the 3rd Zelda game ever and a classic to boot. This Zelda tackles items and dungeons in a different way. it lets you tackle bosses with a vareity of rental/buyable items. 9.25 Uncharted Lost Legacy- Uncharted without Nathan Drake in the game at all? Well..tbh it works well. The only thing really wrong with the game is sometimes it is REALLY unclear where to go. Also you cannot play as Nadine at all. However the rest of the game is really cool. It controls well and feels...

My Thoughts 2017(Sept. Edition) Hey y’all I’m back with another My Thoughts entry. I’m just going to give my opinion on various things going on in the world and my interests now. I gotta admit this has been a pretty decent year for music. I love albums from Logic, Lupe, Vince Staples, Tyler the Creator, David Banner(review coming eventually). I’m looking forward to a new album from Eminem of course. Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar also had great albums this year. R&B wise Kehlani has the album to beat although I admit I don’t listen to the whole thing that much. SZA is also dope af. Movie wise I’ve seen most of the movies I wanted to see in 2017. I saw Transformers V. It was my favorite movie of the year so far. Expect a review when I get it later this month. I loved Guardians of the galaxy 2. I didn’t care too much for Alien Covenant. My History of Video Games Have you ever wondered what video games got me into gaming or what I was playing during such and such console war? Well lemme break it down for you. Early Days I’m going to take you back to 1994. I got my first gaming system (not including PC), the Nintendo Entertainment system. Sure my Dad should have got me a SNES…but it was free….and looking back it was a piece of s*** system. Cause it barely worked. I had so many games….i had like more than 30…so take that Nintendo with your discontinued piece of …ahem lol. After that I got an N64 in 97 I believe. Yeah I was 9 years old. Let me tell you, back in 96-97 we had NEVER SEEN graphics like that before….so it was a beautiful system…and arguably the golden age of my gaming…however, I’m going to reexamine that quote later but remember this might be my golden age. I've done plenty of music lists, so i think its time to pay homage to my top video games of all time. I'm only going to mention games i've played. So, if a game you like is not up here(which I guarantee a few wont be) let me know. Lets get into it.... 1)       The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I have praised this game so many times, and it’s all well deserved. Ocarina has great controls and the graphics were nice at the time. I really love the story, and how the game is paced. You do a side quest of some kind, which generally isn’t long, then you go to a dungeon, get an item, use that item to get further in the dungeon, then beat the boss. Ocarina is, the best Zelda, and as of right now I don’t think that’s up for discussion. I am an average fan of the Metal Gear series, so i dont know all the storylines. This game is a follow up to MGS4, which is arguably the best PS3 game of all time. So what makes this game so diffrent and unique, and yet similar to the others?? In this game you control Raiden, not Snake. Raiden is just so awesome. THe cyborg ninja has unreal speed and strength. You can run really fast and attack at the same time or jump.....The controls are super smooth. Offensively you have this thing called blade mode where time slows down and you literally slice up the enemies....In some cases you can even take their cybernetic spines to heal yourself. It's a wild game. Defensively you must parry enemy attacks. This takes the place of blocking so to effectively defend you have time your parries. Of course some attacks you can just dodge. You fight a variety of enemies from Gekko, weaker cyber soldiers, strong cyber soldiers, robotic birds, Gorilla like robots.....and well some other robots as w...

The following games are the best of the best. They are the best I have ever played. No need for 2 nd opinions! Its my Hall of fame. I don’t care about no Halo! FM= Favorite moment Zelda Ocarina of Time - This is the greatest game of all time. Well the game is executed flawlessly. The story is great, the controls put Super Mario 64 to shame, and the sound is very nice also. This is the best game I’ve played date, bar none. :FM The defeat of Ganondorf God of War 3: This may be the most exciting game of all time. It has excellent pacing and terrific graphics. The voice acting is some of the best to ever grace a video game. Everything is convincing and done on a large scale. The game has virtually no flaws except the fact that 2/3 of the new weapons at Kratos’ disposal are similar to the blades of chaos. Otherwise it has some really memorable moments. I am a big advocate of video games but i feel that the industry is getting rather stale. Everything that comes out is a sequel of something else. Its like the gaming industry has a motto..."If it aint broke don't fix it". I'm saying they need to get the creativity back. I refuse to believe everything has already been done that can be done. I mean Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was good....but it was almost like playing an upgraded version of MW2 lol. As my friend told me...."Its the same game" Dont get me started on Pokemon. Its essentially the same game its been since the late 90s...they just add this and that here or there to make it "new". I also feel the systems like the Nintendo 3DS in particular is just a waste, and not much of an upgrade to the other DS'. I love video games but I'd just like to see some life breathed back into gaming.

Here are some of the PS3's best games and my reviews for them. Metal Gear Solid 4 MGS4 is, i think, the best game or the past few years, if not decade. The game is just plain beautiful. You'll notice that when you watch a cutscene(which you'll spend most of your time doing), the graphics look the same in the scene as when you play the game!! I've never seen a game look so polished, but yet so gritty at the same time. So it looks great, but how does it play? I've played MGS1 and 3, and those are good games, but the controls are clunky. Shoothing someone is a chore; but not in this one. Just hold the L1 button and press R1 to start shooting. The guns are also customizable....even though i must admit I didnt customize or buy weapons very often. Every control in the game just feels right....like when you want to camofloge yourself just simply go next to a wall or object and your octocamo will do the work for you.
