Album Review: Logic-No Pressure

Logic has released his final album after 10 years in the rap game. For the most part this new album delivers. Logic worked with NoI.D. on his first album Under Pressure and he's back with him here. The production is great and fits his flows well. "Soul Food II" is really lush. It's basically got the same beat as the first one. "Perfect" is another banger, and I honestly wish the song and this album was longer. "Man I Is" is just greatness. "DadBod" feels like an older Eminem song and it's really compelling. I really like "GP4" which stands for Growing Pains II. Ultimately Logic is much more focused lyrically here than he was on the very underwhelming Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.  Logic has been one of my favorite rappers since 2017, so its sad to see him retire, but at least he's going out with a bang. This is easily Logic's 2nd best work imo to Everybody . I might do a track by track review of this. We'll se

Album Review: Affion Crockett- Watch the Clone

This is a comedy album which makes for an odd review. The album is pretty catchy in addition to being really funny. Affion does plenty impersonationations like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Drake, 2 Chainz, and even Eminem. The song “Detox” which has an interlude is a stand out. A guy pretends to be Dr. Dre on it too lol. “Passion 4 Fashion” is where Kanye pretends to be Mr. West. “2 Slow” the Drake song is funny af. “Enunciatioin” the 2 Chainz spoof is hilarious. Overall it’s a great album, a little dated yes, but he impersonates so many rappers and oh yeah, Chris Brown. Give this one a listen. Verdict: 86 Lyrics 21 Beats 19 Depth 23 Tilt 23

Album Review: Drake-Dark Lane Demo Tapes

The great pop rapper, Drake, has really been striking out lately. This album/mixtape gets off to a decent start but then it just gets kinda ...boring. "Toosie Slide" has to be the most generic song of all time lol. As far as subject matter; its Drizzy rapping about women. You know, "Rapping, b*tches, b*tches and rapping"hahah. I did like the song "Desires" with Future. I didn't like the Chris Brown assisted "Not You Too". "D4L" with Future and Young Thug is pretty dope and is a nice of change of pace from the really slow tracks on this album. I'm not gonna beat around the bush....this might be his worst project in a while. Scorpion wasn't that great but it had some fire on it here and there. This has too many misses for me. The lyricism is very poor Drizzy Drake.  Lyrics:18 Beats: 21 Depth: 21 Tilt: 20 Verdict 80

Album Review: Kehlani- It Was Good Until It Wasn't

The latest Kehlani album is really good even if it doesn't quite reach the status of her official debut album, SweetSexySavage. Lyrically and vocally this album shines. It's fairly laid back and that suits Kehlani here. The song "Can I" which features Tory Lanez is really fly. The song "Change Your Life", featuring Jhene Aiko, is another highlight. I like the smooth "Water" song too. The production fits the mood too, but it's nothing too extravagant. This album really reminded me of her 2019 mixtape, While We Wait, which I meant to review last year. Anyways the skits are good, and most of the songs are tight. Ultimately I am really pleased with this album. She's really made some great music thus far in her career. Lyrics: 24 Beats: 21 Depth: 24 Tilt: 23 Verdict: 92

Video Game Review: God of War (2018)

Not too long ago I beat God of War for PS4 or God of war 4 as it's often called. I am a God of War veteran so to speak as I've beaten all the major games...even the ones for PSP. I like a lot about this new direction the series took in 2018. Let's get into it. The game is set in ancient Norway in the realm of Midgar. The setting is a breath of fresh air. This means new settings and new enemies. Also Kratos has a son that accompanies with you most of the time named Atreus. Atreus is an archer and he launches them with a single press of a button but later on in the game he will do more by himself in combat. The relationship between father and son is a major theme of this game.  Our anti hero Kratos is more subdued than he's ever been here and tries to teach his son the right way to do things. I found the game's revised combat and over the shoulder camera angle to be nice but it took some getting used to. Enemies will frequently get behind you forcing you to quickly tu
