Sony Playstation 4 Review

Now I will be reviewing the fastest selling console of all…well of the generation right. I picked up the PS4 about a year after it came out. Let’s get into the review. The PS4 is a gamers game system. It doesn’t have all the media features of the Xbox One but it has gotten some apps to help it catch up like Media Player. The system has a lot going for it, like its super sleek design and impressive powerful graphics. It even beats out Xbore this time. Of course being a gamers system, it’s weakest point is the lack of new exciting games out to play. Sure there’s remasters and multiplatformers. Sure there’s WItcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5   out now….and Uncharted 4 coming soon. Ultimately I haven’t been disappointed but I’ve returned a lot of games on the system already. One of them being Killzone Shadowfall which has been the most fun I’ve had thus far on the PS4. The Controller is also a win. Its got a display light that can be utilized a variety of ways like health i

Album Review: Joey Bada$$ B4.DA.$$

Joey Bada$$ is a NY rapper with a classic sound. The production is really really good. His lyrics aren’t bad but their not above a 8/10. The songs blend together quite well. Some however sounded too similar. Joey is a good rapper but I think this debut screams that it needs more guest rappers. Run Up On Ya with Action Bronson and Elle Varner is the best song imo. This is a debut however. He’s going to be a force in the East Coast going forward. The Verdict 8.25/10

Album Review: Outkast's Stankonia

Arguably Outkast’s greatest album. This is the album that propelled them to superstardom. The radio singles are excellent(So Fresh So Clean, BOB,Ms Jackson), but there’s so much more here. The beats are terrific and their lyricism doesn’t leave much desired. The themes are interesting too like on I’ll Call Before I Come. We Luv Deez Hoez is another banger The skits are funny but kinda weigh the album down. The album will go down as one everyone that likes rap should own.  The verdict is a  9.75/10

Album Review: Blackshady's Age of Black

Hey wassup, it's time for another album review. This time however, the album is mine. Originally supposed to be a video album for YouTube(yes I did make some of these tracks). I never finished it but If I had well....let's see....pay attention cause I will likely choose to do my reviews more in depth like this in the future for your favorite artists... Blackshady is a ** year old rapper hailing from Virginia, and this is his first solo work. Age of Black is a mixtape style album where he takes beats from already established rap songs and goes in on them. The first track is called (The Wait Is) Over where Blackshady spits on Drake's Over beat. He spits, One thing bout Rap when I hear I feel no pain Like Im straight up insane Like these gurls wanna give me brain They say they love me, I kno betta than that its just game They wanna fuck me, And I’m ready for dat I aint gotta wife and it’s a shame After that the album pays ode to Jay-z's Take Over song

Album Review: Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad

This wasn’t Rihanna breakout album, but it made her a certified superstar. Rihanna isn’t a bad girl yet here, but on the last title track song, she warns you that she will. Her hooks are great, lyrically its really good, and the production here is just terrific. The singles are standouts but I found Breakin Dishes, Sell Me Candy, and Lemme Get That are also bangers. Say It is the weakest song..and thats is quite good. Don't Stop the Music does Michel Jackson justice...The album is Rih Rih’s best to date and if you haven’t heard it yet, please cop. Favorite 3 Songs: Breakin' Dishes, Umbrella, Don't Stop the Music Least Favorite 2: Say It, Question Existing Overall Rating 99 Lyrics 24 Beats 25 Depth 25 Tilt 25

My Thoughts: Ludacris, the Mouf of the South

I meant to make this Luda's b-day which was this month. Luda is a high energy dirty south rapper. He was actually one of the few rappers that got me into rap, along with Jay-z ,Ja Rule and Eminem. I really couldnt feel What's Your Fantasy due to me only being 11 or 12 at the time it came out. Southern Hospitality tho...that was the record. In late 2001 i bought my first album Word of Mouf, along with 2 other Source greatest hits albums. Now that was a while ago. After that I was a certified fan of Ludacris aka Chris Bridges. Lighting struck twice in 2003 with Chicken & Beer. Ironically I bought that with Jay-z's Black Album but it held its own. After that Luda was basically my favorite rapper. Things would change going forward tho. In 2004 Luda dropped another album Red Light District....and by then I had his first album too. BOth albums were good but not great. After 2005 Luda came out with Release Therapy. In 2006 I was off to be a freshman at college. Listeni

Album Review: Jay Rock's 90059

While not as explosive as I had hoped, Jay Rock’s latest album is a great listen. He doenst have a whole lot of guests, nor too few. His lyrics and delivery are crisp, and he knows when to change it up. The production was really good, and I liked just about every song. With this album, the T.D.E./Black Hippy camp (Kendrick, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, & Ab-Soul) has got some really good albums all across the board. Next time around I’d like to see more aggressiveness from Jay Rock but this will do. Verdict: It's a solid 9.0/10.

My Thoughts: Nasir Jones aka Nas

Aye allow me to show some respect and admiration for one of my favorite rappers. Nas, aka Escobar, aka God's Son is arguably NY's best rapper and well, maybe the best rapper period. First a trip down memory lane. I had heard some of Nas' songs before, namely just Hate Me Now and Oochie Wally Wally. I didnt think much of him in 2001. Things quickly changed in 2002 when i heard Stillmatic. I was hooked. What impressed me the most about him is his music had a message and he was a dope lyricist. Of course i knew about the beef with my favorite rapper at the time Jay-z. Like i said, there was a time when all i had really heard was the aforementioned singles and One Mic and Got Yourself A.....but after hearing Lost Tapes and God's Son, then Illmatic, I became a big Nas fan.  As far as beef goes, Jay-z got Ethered on Ether! I mean Takeover was a dope diss record, but Ether was eerily destructive. In the scope of the rap world only Jay-z can really be compare

My Thoughts 2015 (Blogmaster Returns...Again!)

I'd like to apologize to all my fans. I have been busy with other things......but hey i'm back now! lol Alot of things have been happening and i'd like to give a little opinion. Just my thoughts, what i'm feelin at the time. First of all, Trump, Donald Trump is really crazy. The fact he thinks a presidential candidate can act the way he does, and still win, still represent the country baffles me! I'm not going to comment on black lives matter....i made a post about that already. check it below http://maxreviewsandthoughts.blogspot.com/2015/05/black-lives-matter.html Hmm I respect all mankind, but I must say i'm against gay marriage. Not only is it morally wrong, but no offspring comes from it. Again i dont hate gay people, but I am against the life choice. About Isis....well i feel the country is just not doing enough to stop them. I mean come on now Mr. Pres. We Can do better.... Alright serious stuff aside... Where is Kanye's album? I me
