Michael Jackson's Michael Review

You must know that I am a HUGE Michael Jackson fan. I guess that’s what makes this such a tough review and a bit of a disappointment. The album is good, but it doesn’t feel complete. I think maybe Michael being the G.O.A.T.(Greatest of All Time) makes this album seem like its not up to par with his expectations. However this is a decent album. I must say that songs like Hold My Hand and Monster feature some really good collaborations. (I Can’t Make it) Another Day with Lenny Kravitz is also very good. I think the last song is a little too sappy. Overall I think MJ would be somewhat pleased with this effort. I'll give it an 8/10

Katy Perry Teenage Dream Review

Okay this may be my first Pop review for this site, but I like Pop music too .....so here it goes.... I wasn’t much of a Katy Perry fan until I heard this album. Its solid all the way around….sure some of the songs are very simplistic but they have a lot of cohesiveness. Some songs are slower, sure, but they still sound really good. Vocally Katy puts some pop artists to shame, although I won’t mention any names. My favorite songs are Firework, E.T. Pearl, and uhhh Peacock lol! This is hot music. Snoop Dogg did his thing on California Girls too! I give this album a 9.5/10, now beat that Britney Spears lol

Tyler the Creator's Goblin Revew

WOLF GANG!!!  WTF is this? This is by far the craziest album I’ve ever heard. The album is creative but the execution on some tracks is poor. The beats are really hot. I haven’t heard anyone rap this crazy since early Eminem. But you can’t really make a comparison between the two rappers, no disrespect to Tyler who is a decent rapper. This is one of the hardest rap albums to get through due to the crazy subject matter, but Tyler & company due a good job of painting pictures with their rhymes. Even with that being said the album has very few poor songs. The final track, Golden is simply hilarious. I give this album 7.5/10. Not bad, but there are some flaws.

Rick Ross: God Forgivevs, I Don't Review(Track by Track Review)

Rick Ross God Forgives, I Don’t Track by Track Review Pray for Us- The intro….some guy is praying to God, then u hear a drive by and the famous Rick Ross “RUH” 6.5/10 Pirates- A great intro song. The beat is on point. “We just Pirates tryin to stay float” 8.5/10 3 Kings- Ross is joined by Dr. Dre and Jay-z here. Dre says “listen to this through my headphones”, Ross says “Listen to this in my Maybach”. Jay-z’s verse is good as he says “Niggas can’t f*** with my daughter’s room”. The beat is hot, but lyrically its not as good as it could have been 9/10 Ashamed- This track is really smooth. I love the sample. Ross gets it done. 8.5/10 Maybach Music IV- The 4 th edition of Maybach Music is as smooth as possible but I think it’s the worst of the 4. Ne-yo’s part is a nice touch but I wanted to hear more of him here. 8.5/10 Sixteen- The smooth songs continue. This song is dope. Ross is joined by Andre 3000 who steals the show at the e

Rick Ross- Teflon Don Review

I thought i'd post a short review on this album before I finish my review on Ross's new album Teflon Don is Ross at his finest either way you look at it. His lyrics are really good, but not really better than they were on his 3 rd album. That album was his best(at the time), but this one is more consistent. Its only 11 songs true, but I prefer this over his first 2 which were heavy on filler. Tears of Joy is good, but BMF does nothing to help him maintain BOSS status. MC hammer and I’m Not a Star have   perfect   beats for Ross. The last 2 songs are really nice, and overall its nice to see Ross releasing yet another varied work. I give this album 9/10.

Keri Hilson: In A Perfect World Review

Miss Keri’s debut album doesn’t feel like a debut album, which is a good thing and a bad thing. Its good that she is so good at making hit songs, with great lyrics, to cover up for her lack of vocal ability. Its bad because her expectations are too high. This is a good album from front to back, but some songs work better than others.   The first 4 songs are really good. Knock You Down w/ Kanye and Ne-yo is great. The song with Timbo, Return the Favor is fine, but a little too long. This is an album that needed about 1 or 2 more guess spots. However the ones on the album are well used. The album has a good beginning and ending, and an ok middle…as good as this is, I can see her topping this album. I give this album 9/10

Lil Wayne: Tha Carter III Review

Lil wayne ’s 3 rd Carter, had entirely too much hype around it. It isn’t a masterpiece but it is a really good album. Lyrically Wayne ’s flow is creative and he goes hard on most songs. He seems like hes unorganized on Playing with fire though. On Amili he freestyles and murders the beat, and on Mr. Carter he gets 3 verses to try and outshine an average Jay-z. Lolipop is the club hit, along with Got Money. Dr. Carter is Wayne at his lyrical best, along with Shoot me Down. The last song was best trimmed down a bit to maybe 5 mins. The beats are hot, and theres a good amount of depth. Good Job lil weezy. Overall Rating 93 (Not a Classic, but damn good) Lyrics 23 Beats 23 Depth 22 Tilt 25

The Notorious B.I.G.: Ready to Die Review

This album is plain and simply a classic. Biggie jumps out of the gate with an incredible lyrical showcase. Juicy is the best song but really there aren’t any weak songs here. The album tells the tale of life in the streets, and how tough life in the hood can be. I think this album is slightly better than the great Illmatic and thus in conversation for the best rap album of all time. Overall the album is incredibly entertaining and its easy to see why The Notorious B.I.G. is one of the best rappers ever. In fact if you like East Coast rap and haven’t heard this…..cop it now! This album recieves 10/10 from me.

J.Cole: Cole World-The Sideline Story Review

J.Cole’s debut album is very good, even though it suffers from some minor mistakes. Cole has a short guest list which only includes Jay-z, Missy Elliot, Drake,   and Trey Songz….all 4 are used well but you cant help but wish there were more guest spots. Cole really delivers lyrically on most of the songs, in fact they’re all good but I found   that   the album has too many “thoughtful” songs on it near the end. This is a complaint only because you would think that they’re be more “Mr. Nice Watch” type songs…but his song topics remind me a lot of 2pac’s greatness. One thing is for sure; J. Cole is a gifted MC. I give this album  8.25/10

Video Game Hall of Fame

The following games are the best of the best. They are the best I have ever played. No need for 2 nd opinions! Its my Hall of fame. I don’t care about no Halo! FM= Favorite moment Zelda Ocarina of Time - This is the greatest game of all time. Well the game is executed flawlessly. The story is great, the controls put Super Mario 64 to shame, and the sound is very nice also. This is the best game I’ve played date, bar none. :FM The defeat of Ganondorf God of War 3: This may be the most exciting game of all time. It has excellent pacing and terrific graphics. The voice acting is some of the best to ever grace a video game. Everything is convincing and done on a large scale. The game has virtually no flaws except the fact that 2/3 of the new weapons at Kratos’ disposal are similar to the blades of chaos. Otherwise it has some really memorable moments. FM: Finally defeating Hades. Final Fantasy X : Final Fantasy X is without a doubt, the ver

My Favorite R&B singers [2012 Edition]

1)       Usher (4)- Usher gets the top spot. He has been a favorite artist of mine for a long time. He really came hard with Raymond V. Raymond…then he followed that up with Lookin 4 Myself. Usher is a veteran, and seems to make hits at will. He’s had some good features on other artists tracks as well. I don’t know how long he will be the king of R&B but for now “watch the throne” 2)       Rihanna (11)- I still consider Rihanna an R&B artist…and she has been on a tear lately. She jumps 9 spots with great albums Loud and Talk that Talk. Both albums are great and I love her new style. I don’t see Rihanna going up but I think she’ll be in the top 5 for a long time. Rih Rih is sexy! 3)       Alicia Keys (5)- Alicia hasn’t really done a whole lot since releasing her 2009 album(Element of Freedom)…but she’s always been so consistent and thus she claims the #3 spot. I am really looking forward to her next album. 4)       Trey Songz (10)-Trey has moved up 6 spots and i

Top Rappers (From not too long ago)

I was looking threw my old and i found an old list of top rappers(2009)......Expect a new list from me soon! #)Rapper (Last List’s Rank: # or New) Flow, Consistency, Relevancy Essential Songs Essential Album(s) Commentary 20) Common F-8, C-6, R-1 ES: Announcment, Gladiator, Universal Mind Control EA: Universal Mind Control, Finding Forever, Be Chai town’s Nas returns, but he barely makes the list due mostly in part, to a SEVERE lack of relevancy. He was in the top 10 last time, this is a major drop. I thought his last album was solid overall, but he seems to be focused on acting these days. 19) Rick Ross F-5, C-7, R-7 ES: Mafia Music, The Boss, Maybach Music EA: Deeper Than Rap, Trilla I neva thought Ricky Ross would make this list but he has proven he deserves a spot. His last album, Deeper than Rap, was really good. What is s most impressive is his flow is now decent and he has become a more consistent rapper. 18) Ice Cube(New) F-7, C-8, R-4 ES: It

Pink Friday Roman Reloaded Review

This review is late but here it goes: Nicki’s sophomore album is truly an oddly constructed album. The first half is similar to her first album, but the 2 nd half is a pop album. Some of the Pop songs are good, others are poor attempts at hits. Stupid H** is a hilarious song….and Starships is the best of the Pop songs. Champion, Roman Holiday, and HOV Lane are great. Come on a Cone is the best song by far. The future looks pretty bright for Minaj, despite taking a step back on this album Overall Rating 80 Grade B- Lyrics 19 Beats 21 Depth 19 Tilt 21

My Favorite NBA Playoffs series

My favorite NBA Playoff Series of the last 7 years- these are not in order, the order doesn’t matter, but these are my picks. Lakers vs. Celtics 10 -This was a revenge series for the Lakers. They had to prove that they could beat the Celtics, the last team that defeated them in the postseason.     .The 08 finals is what made me a Laker fan for life . Go Lakers Go! Lakeshow! Spurs vs. Hornets 10 - This was an entertaining series….I wanted the Hornets to win, but ah well. CP3 and Tony Paker was a great matchup. Heat vs. Mavericks 06- This was a really cool series for me. I was pissed that the spurs lost to the mavs. The Mavs won 2 in a row, and everybody thought the Heat were done. Then Miami won a couple games…then they won again. Then they finally won in Dallas …..the Heat weren’t really underdogs but they said to themselves “we are a team, and we not gonna let the Detroit Pistons, or any other team with a better record beat us”. Spurs vs. Pistons 05 - I’m
