Faith joins her late husband, rap juggernaut Biggie Smalls here. The album is well produced, and the lyrics are pretty good too. Unfortunately, some of these raps aren’t new from Biggie. A lot of songs end up sounding like they just have Faith singing with Biggie snippets. The album isn’t bad however. It’s a little long sure, and the skits I could really do without. Faith Evans is a great R&B artist and this was a great idea for her to do. Verdict: 8/10

Bracket C The Notorious B.I.G. vs. Nas- Another predicted matchup and a rematch…Nas won last year…lets get it! Flow: Tie. There’s no way I can give leverage to either rapper here, flow wise. (5-5) Creativity: Biggie was very creative, but I’ve got to give Nas a 6-4 edge here. (9-11) Storytelling: As a great a storyteller as Nas is, Biggie was also that great. Tie. (14-16) Impact: Ooo sh** that’s hard to call. Both are all time greats for sure. I’d have to say Biggie has meant a lil more to the game, but it’s close ie. 6-4 split. (20-20) Collaboration: Biggie wins this category 7-3. He literally always gets the job done, but not enough to give him all 10 points. (27-23) Versatility: Biggie is really really versatile. S1)The Notorious B.I.G. vs. S5)J.Cole : I think it will be a close battle but Biggie should win. Flow: Hmm. This is so tough. Both rappers are fairly flawless here, but I obviously think Biggie is more so. (10-0) Creativity: I give Biggie a lot of credit for being a dominant rapper in his day, however I feel Cole’s music is a little more creative for his career. This may sound a little bias as when Biggie rapped most rappers were…actually good lol. (10-10) Storytelling: Tie. I don’t really need to explain it either. (15-15) Impact: Biggie wins this category by leaps and bounds. However in 20 years idk what I would say..but this is 2017 bro. (25-15) Collaboration: Hmm. Not too sure as neither rapper…wait nah its Biggie. Hahaha. (35-15) Versatility: Tie. I feel both rappers are pretty damn versatile. Biggie had club bangers, dark mafioso songs. J. Wassup y'all. I was just looking at my list of Best Rap Albums ever reviewed(no need to look at it it's very dated). I was thinking of what makes a these 4 rap albums the best I've ever heard. Thats right they are 100 rated albums or 10/10. They arent the only ones, but man are they excellent. I'm going to break down the four. Jay Z: The Blueprint  (2001) This is Jay's best album, although Reasonable Doubt is technically just as good score wise. BP1 is incredibly well executed from both a lyrical standpoint and production wise. Jay was in top form here. He was closse tying this one with Black Album but nope. Its one of those albums where I can truly hit the shuffle button and just let it play. I guess you could say that about all four of these albums. 1)Nas vs. 2)The Notorious B.I.G. 1 st Seed Nas: In Round 1 Nas defeated Ja Rule 5-1. In Round 3 he beat Jay-z 3-2. 2 nd Seed Biggie: In R1 he beat Fabolous 5-0. In R3 he beat Ghostface Killah 4-2. Flow: TIE. Both rappers have impeccable flow. You’re talking about 2 of the greatest MCs obviously I mean this is the final round. 1-1 Delivery: Biggie wins in this category. Nas is great but he really only raps one way. 1-2 Albums: Another tie. You knew this if you saw the Guidelines post. Sure Nas has way more albums, but Biggie’s 2 albums are just as great…. 2-3 Story: I love Biggie’s storytelling, he really was a complete rapper. Nas on the other hand had great songs like Rewind. It seems he might be the best storyteller in any region. Nas 3-3. Legacy: Ah the tie breaker. Of course in this round this isn’t easy to call…Okay so Jay beat Nas in this category, and Jay copied Biggie, but regardless…I give this one to Nas. Sure he has way more material…but the dude h...

Hey y'all. If you read my 2pac (MT) blog post then you knew this one was coming. When i was a kid I liked Biggie's commercial songs like Big Poppa and Hypnotize. In 2005 however I was able to get a hold of my fathers' BIggie albums. Turns out he had them all. I started with Ready to Die. And it was a classic, easily. Christopher Wallace's storytelling, flow, and delivery were top notch. Juicy was my favorite song on the album. Later I would listen to Life After Death and was very impressed. Born Again wasnt enough Biggie.....so i dont really count that one. P.Diddy aka Diddy aka Puff Daddy hit the jackpot with Biggie Smalls. I truly believe he was ahead of his time. I wonder how good he would be if he were still alive today. I actually prefer him over Pac, but ironically i wont argue with you if you say Pac is the better the rapper.

The 2 nd album by NY’s Greatest rapper of all time, isn’t far behind the 1 st one. There is filler, but the filler is really good. I feel that Biggie spoke of death a little too much but then again, being the true King of NY. He dominates with a flow and delivery that is unrivaled by any rapper dead or alive. Overall I think he was not in his prime when he made this album. It’s sad when a young supremely talented rapper dies. The album is filled with great songs. Some sound similar but I will call that cohesiveness. If it weren’t for a few songs this would be just as good as Ready to Die. Overall I give this album 9.5/10. Its a groundbreaking Eas Coast Rap album. Sippin on booz in the house of blues....BIGGIE!
