1/2 of Outkast has returned yet again. This time around he does better than 2012’s album, Viscious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. The album has lots of depth. I liked every song, and they’re pretty varied too. The production and Big Boi’s lyrics just fit together really well. “Kill Jill” is sci-fi and funky. It gets the album off to a great start. “Order of Operations” is another good song. “All Night” follows that song and its so much fun to listen to. Overall it’s a very impressive outing for the rap veteran. Big Boi proves he’s one of the south’s best rappers. Verdict: 9.6

A lot can be said about Big Boi’s first true solo album. Speakerboxx from 2003’s double Outkast album was really good, in fact about a solid 9/10. Now to SLLF….well Big Boi had delayed this album for a long time, and I’m glad he did, cause this is a superior rap album….i would go as far to say this is better than any album the duo (Outkast) has put out overall, but I have not heard all of them to date so I won’t. Anyways this album features some of the catchiest beats and choruses rap has to offer this year, or any year for that matter. The base hits hard, then some songs are smooth, and others like Shine Blockas are right for the club. My personal favorites are Be Still & Turns Me On. Then again this is an album with NO FILLER, unless you count the skits or the SB remix at the end. Anyways the lyrics weren’t quite flawless, but that’s about it. Stop reading this review and go hear the best dirty south album of the 00s for yourself. The verdict is a 9.8/10!!

Okay this is a rap review. I am taking 3 very good albums from late 2012 and breaking them down. T.I.-Trouble Man: Heavy is th Head T.I.’s latest album might as well be called his redemption. The album features T.I. trying to channel his old style(Trap Musik & Urban Legend) with his King of South style( King & Paper Trail). The album is just way better than his horrible predecessor, No Mercy. His lyrics are much smarter, and relevant unlike his previous album. The new blended style T.I. displays makes him sound hungry again which is what a lot of rappers lack these days that have found previous success.   Ball with Lil Wayne is one of the best songs. It has a cash money feel to it with its uptempo beat. The album seems to have a little bit of everything. There’s even skits mixed in to some songs which helps with the cohesiveness. Sure there’s some filler, but overall I am proud of T.I. for coming back strong. Songs like Can You Learn, Sorry, Guns and Roses, and ...
