Chesstown King's Reviews and Thoughts

Have you been wondering what video games I've been playing since the late 2010s and till now in the mid 2020s? Well here you go Ok so after I traded in the Xbox One in 2018 I got a Nintendo Switch. OMG this thing was great. I think Breath of the Wild was my first game. I would get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey too. I was still playing my ps4 a lot too. I was playing God of War (2018) and Horizon Zero Dawn.....but I wouldn't beat either one of those until about 2020. For Switch I would eventually put over 500 hours into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate making it my most played fighting game! Later for PS4 I was able to play games that were technically ps5 games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnaraok. Both games were absolutely amazing! Back on the Switch I would play some really great games like Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Zelda Skyward Sword remastered. I really was playing quite a few Pokemon games annually too like Shield, then Brilliant Diamond, t...

Honorable Mentions: Titan Fall 2, DBZ Kakarot, Star Wars Battlefront II, Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection. 15) Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga-This has proven to be a really fun Lego Star Wars game. It has some great missions from all 9 mainline Star Wars movies. I love the voice acting actually which isn’t what you’d expect from a Lego game. The game is just a ton of fun. You can play as almost any star wars character you can think of…. 14) Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection- I’m no stranger to fighting games. I had Street Fighter V also but this collection I poured way more hours into. It’s got Street Fighter 1, many versions of 2, Alpha, and 3. It has the ability to save your progress in any point of any fight…which I gotta tell you was a real life saver! This is definitely a must have for any Street Fighter fan. 13) NBA 2k23-This is the 2k I probably played the most in recent years due to not getting a new NBA 2k till I got a ps5 (2k26). This is a great game. There’s th...

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Now I will be reviewing the fastest selling console of all…well of the generation right. I picked up the PS4 about a year after it came out. Let’s get into the review. The PS4 is a gamers game system. It doesn’t have all the media features of the Xbox One but it has gotten some apps to help it catch up like Media Player. The system has a lot going for it, like its super sleek design and impressive powerful graphics. It even beats out Xbore this time. Of course being a gamers system, it’s weakest point is the lack of new exciting games out to play. Sure there’s remasters and multiplatformers. Sure there’s WItcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5   out now….and Uncharted 4 coming soon. Ultimately I haven’t been disappointed but I’ve returned a lot of games on the system already. One of them being Killzone Shadowfall which has been the most fun I’ve had thus far on the PS4. The Controller is also a win. Its got a display light that can be utilized a variety of ways like heal...
