Ah yeah the 2008 dope boyz. Just a little name i came up with back in 08 for the Game, T.I., and Jeezy. In 2008 the 3 released popular albums: L.A.X, Paper Trail, and The Recession respectively. So let's look at those albums. First 08 dope boy: The Game The Game also known as Game, is a supremely talented westcoast mc. He's got a talent for name dropping and also mimicking his guest rappers or just other rappers in general. Game did the west coast proud with the release of L.A.X. , a very interesting album, without a lot of drama as was with 2006's Doctor's Advocate. Despite that i felt LAX was a tad bit better with lots of features which, is a characteristic of Game's albums now. In Retrospect: LAX was a great album, but if it were Game's last album, it wouldnt have been the best way to leave the rap game especially considering how good Red Album and Documetnary 2 & 2.5 are. 2nd 08 Dope Boy: Jeezy Jeezy also known as Young Jeezy was at the ...

This album is slightly better than the first Documentary 2. It’s got some serious bangers on it, but I felt there wasn’t really any filler, besides the skits. Game continues to paint a tremendous picture of Compton. The production is also really good, but I wouldn’t say it’s any more stellar than the first disc’s beats. He’s got the other half of Black Hippy (Jay Rock & Schoolboy Q) on Gang Bang Anyway. Nas and will.I.am drop in on Ghetto. Other guests include E-40, King Mez, YG, Ty Dolla Sign and long time collaborator Lil Wayne. The album ends well too with Like Father Like Son 2 where his kids get some words in along with Busta Rhymes. This might be the album of the year. It’s certainly Game’s best. 10/10

Game himself said this album was better than the 1 st Documentary. I was apprehensive at first, but it really is. The album has some really good varied production. Some beats have been used before by other artists but who cares. The album is highly addictive but not perfect. Some songs in the middle aren’t all that like Hashtag and B*tch you Aint Sh**. Otherwise it’s a really solid album. There’s a ton of features but I liked how they assisted Game in different ways. Don’t Trip is a banger, and the title track might be the best here. This is a little more listenable than TPAB believe it or not. The album is very accessible and Game’s lyrics are top notch. The verdict: 9.9/10

Whattup. I havent blogged a whole lot but I will be blogging more now, hopefully. This is another My Thoughts blog.....just like i've done in the past for Lil Wayne, EMinem, and Nicki Minaj....This time's topic is the West Coast Rapper Game(the). He dropped the 'The' now its just Game.... Funny thing is I didn't really like him that much when he first came out with G-Unit. I just didnt think he stood out at all in the group. That would change in 2005....(10 years ago wow). Game dropped his debut album The Documentary. It was fire....it was actually better than label mate and group leader 50 Cent's The Massacre album. In fact it was tied, IMO, with Kanye's Late Registration album. Game shined. He had personality, charisma, and flow. Skill i hadnt seen on his guest features on the other albums. Anyway after that things got rough with him and 50, which resulting in Game being dropped from Aftermath and G-Unit records. I knew that wouldn't be the end...

Game’s 6 th solo album is interesting. Its his first album on his new label. The album gets off to a good start. However there’s so many guests it feels like Game’s version of Dynasty Roc La Familia 2000(My least favorite Jay-z album). There are quite a few bangers on the album however. The album is also pretty cohesive, but it seems Game is just cashing in on already proven to work formulas for most songs. I don’t really know if this is his worst album, but it’s a good album though. It’s a must have for Game fans.       The verdict: 8/10

Game came out strong backed by Dr. Dre & 50 Cent, and a plethora of varied beats. Okay this is a rap review. I am taking 3 very good albums from late 2012 and breaking them down. T.I.-Trouble Man: Heavy is th Head T.I.’s latest album might as well be called his redemption. The album features T.I. trying to channel his old style(Trap Musik & Urban Legend) with his King of South style( King & Paper Trail). The album is just way better than his horrible predecessor, No Mercy. His lyrics are much smarter, and relevant unlike his previous album. The new blended style T.I. displays makes him sound hungry again which is what a lot of rappers lack these days that have found previous success.   Ball with Lil Wayne is one of the best songs. It has a cash money feel to it with its uptempo beat. The album seems to have a little bit of everything. There’s even skits mixed in to some songs which helps with the cohesiveness. The Red Album Dr. Dre Intro - Dr. Dre jump starts the album by talking about how Game’s parents got together and how he was born. The City- a track featuring fellow west coast rapper Kendrick Lamar. The song bleeds with intensity. The chorus is hot, and lyrically Game doesn’t disappoint. Kendrick goes hard near the end of the song. The album is off to a great start. 9.5/10 Drug Test- One of the only songs that you would probably hear on the radio. It’s a dope short song. 8.5/10 Martians vs. Goblins- A dope concept type of track. Game is joined by Lil Wayne and Tyler the Creator.. Game’s verses are creepy, and Tyler spits a hot verse. The chorus is alright, but not all that creative. 9/10 Red Nation- A hot commercial sounding song. Wayne is on the chorus again.
