Watch the Throne

No Church in the Wild- The album starts off with this dark track. The beat is fire, and the Frank Ocean chorus is hot. The song asks human beings to a mob, what’s a mob to a king, whats a king to a god….and what’s a god to a nonbeliever? After the track you hear this interlude beat that’s pretty laid back. 9/10

Lift Off- Lift Off is a good song, but you can’t help but get the feeling it could have been better. The Beyonce hook is good, but Kanye just sings on it, and Jay’s verse doesn’t really say anything. The beat saves this song and keeps it above average. 8/10

N**gas in Paris- A really addictive song. The title is lame but the song is anything but. Jay and Kanye spit fire. The beat has a mysterious glossy sound to it. The chrorus is really hot too. 9.5/10

Otis- One of the best songs on the album. Otis has a fun sample and its well used. 9.5/10

Gotta Have It- A simple song, but really catchy. Jay and Kanye trade versus quickly. The Throne has delivered so far. 8.5/10

New Day- On this song Kanye and Jay rap to their unborn children. Kanye goes first and raps, “I’ll never let him have an ego”. Jay’s verse is also good. The song has a really cool sample. The chorus just seems to flow rather effortlessly. 9/10

That’s My B**ch- A great party song. The chorus is awesome. I feel this song leans more towards Kanye than a married man like Jay-z. 9/10

Welcome to the Jungle- A swizz beats produced song. The chorus is kinda weak, but the strong verses make up for that. The beat is kind of tense as well. I like how you get to hear the interlude beat again. 8.5/10

Who Gon Stop Me- This is the 2nd best if not best song on the album. Kanye is fierce, and Jay-z holds his own as well. Luxury rap at its finest. The beat aint bad either. 9.5/10

Murder to Excellence- This is a great song. It talks about Black on Black crime. The chorus is hot, and the beat is nice. The song’s beat changes up near the end. 10/10

Made in America- The album’s weakest track isn’t that bad. The chorus is kinda wack, but the beat is cool. This song really grew on me. 7.5/10

Why I Love You- The Finale is dope. Mr. Hudson stops by for the chorus. The song talks about the fall of The Throne….The beat isn’t all that but the lyrics make up for that. 9/10

I give this album 9.25/10

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
