Jay-z's The BLack Album Review

I’m going to make a bold statement; This is the last album Jay-z should of made. I say this because its not only a classic, but it proves Jay didn’t need another rapper to spit a verse, while keeping your attention. Jay went to different producers for different sounds like Timbaland, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, and even Eminem. The result is an album that is almost flawless. My favorite song is Dirt Off Your Shoulder, although many may claim 99 Probs is a better track. You already know the lyrics are on point, and the beats are stellar, and the album doesn’t get old, even after many listens. The only flaw is some of the songs are a little overshadowed by some of the better ones. Jay-z was on top when he made this, and you could argue he’s still on top now, but in late 2003 there was no argument.

Overall i give this album a 9.9/10. Its just one of those really special rap albums!

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...

My Top Video Games of all time

I've done plenty of music lists, so i think its time to pay homage to my top video games of all time. I'm only going to mention games i've played. So, if a game you like is not up here(which I guarantee a few wont be) let me know. Lets get into it.... 1)       The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I have praised this game so many times, and it’s all well deserved. Ocarina has great controls and the graphics were nice at the time. I really love the story, and how the game is paced. You do a side quest of some kind, which generally isn’t long, then you go to a dungeon, get an item, use that item to get further in the dungeon, then beat the boss. Ocarina is, the best Zelda, and as of right now I don’t think that’s up for discussion. There are some really good Zelda games though such as Wind Waker, ALTTP(which made my list), and some others. 2)       Final Fantasy X- Final Fantasy X….is the only FF I’ve beaten, and I’ve played F...
