My Best Games of ALLLLL TIIIIIIME (Ranked by System)

N64-The N64 was a terrific system at the time of its release. It was superior to the Playstation 1....although many games came out for both systems. I really like the N64, or course back then game systems were just that; and the N64 was designed to do just that.
Zelda Ocarina of Time- I already blogged about this game. Its not only the best N64 game but its also the best game period. From the stellar story, to great gameplay,. sound and controls. Ocarina reigns supreme. Its never too hard, nor is it too easy.

Goldenye 007-A terrific FPS.....that quite honestly was the blueprint for the shooters that would come after it. This game had tremendous style, not to mention a 4 player multi player mode which was incredibly fun. My only dislike is that some stages bordered on unbeatable without codes.

Super Mario 64- This is another game for the 64 that was a benchmark. Yes it seems every adventure game has been compared to this game in some form or fashion. Its not an easy game, especially the Bowser levels and fights. Getting all 120 stars yields it's rewards however.

Star Fox 64-This is one of my alltime favorite games. It has fun dialogue and the game plays like a sci-fi movie. Its no doubt that This is better than the original(and the multiple spinoffs that have came after it.) The game gets pretty difficult near the end but ultimately you should be skilled enough to beat it. Getting all the medals on every stage is another story though.

PS2

Final Fantasy X-FFX is perhaps the most polarizing game i have ever played. Its got everything. Its superior story and addictive battle system make it a top 5 game for me all time. The game looks great as well, and features loveable and compelling characters.

Star Wars Battlefront 2- A Star Wars fans dream come true. You command the "4" armies of star wars. You can also use hero/villain characters. This is a great game with a pretty high difficulty level on some modes. The space battles are well executed.

Grand Theft Auto 3,Vice City , & San Andreas-  These 3 "sandbox-openworld games" are classics. This is when i was really into GTA. Sadly i dont like GTA that much due to how bad #4 was on PS3. But these games bring a level of freedom that before you couldnt really imagine.

God of War 1&2- Last but not least is God of War. Its a thrillride....an action adventure game with quicktime buttons that would leave a long lasting mark on the games that would come after it. These are both top 10 PS2 games of all time.

GBA/DS/3DS

Advance Wars 2-A tough game of supreme strategical challenge. It just never gets old.

Super Mario Advance 1,2,3-These 3 games (Super Mario 2,Super Mario World, and Super Mario 3) were terrific platforming for the GBA.

Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver-Perhaps the ultimate pokemon in terms of how long it is. After 3 years i finally  beat it. I played off and on, but this is a challengeing and difficult game.

New Super Mario Bros. 1 (not 2)-The first installment was a classic. It featured a fresh platforming experience for the DS.

Mario Kart DS & Mario Kart 7-MKDS was one of the DS's greatest games and was a little bit better than 3ds' 7. However both games were great.

Zelda LInk to the Past-A handheld classic

PS3-I called the PS3 the "Mighty PS3" because at the time it came out it was a juggernaut of a system.

Metal Gear Solid 4-This game is one of the reason I got a PS3 in the first place. It combines excellent gameplay with many impressive cutscenes. After you beat the game, you actually get to watch a mini movie because it clocks in at just over an hour lol.
God of War 3- Kratos's first installment on the PS3 is a brilliant and bloody adventure. It feels over the top, as you take on the games bosses and the sense of scale is incredible. The fighting is hardcore and fluid. The last hour of the game isn't all that great, but that's a minor complaint.
Uncharted 2 & 3- Uncharted 2 and 3 are excellent action adventure games. The 2nd game is the better of the two but they are both tremendous games. The 1st game of the series wasn't bad, but clearly not on the level of these 2 games. The main character, Nathan Drake is a great lead character.
Tomb Raider-This game is similar to the Uncharted series....but its excuted in a much more realistic fashion. There isn't really a whole lot that isn't realistic in this game. Laura is very emotional and relatable. The game is long but rewarding.
Killzone 2 & 3-These hardcore yet amazingly pretty and gritty shooters are some of the best on the system. There isn't much story but the action is top notch. KZ2 is the better of the 2 but KZ3 has 2 player co-op in the story mode which is pretty cool.

Wii /Wii U- The Wii has had its legacy on gaming. The Wii U is like a HD Super Wii. The system is really good, but not until 2013 did it see lots of quality games. Unlike the WIi, it comes with a Gamepad with traditionally placed buttons. This allows alot of diffrent games to be played on it like FPS for example.

Super Smash Bros Brawl-One of the most addicting games known to man kind!
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2-Mario's ultimate adventure...
Pikmin 3-Miyamoto's brainchild
Zelda Twilight Princess-Perhaps the longest Zelda game ever.
Mario Kart Wii-a terrific Mario Racer...
Super Mario 3D world-This game can do no wrong....
(I haven't played much of the Wii games but the ones I listed are great)

Nas Albums Worst to Best

20)      Nastradamus (75)- It really shouldn’t be a surprise to see this one ranked so low. The lyricism isn’t abysmal but everything is pretty average. How does a song like “Big Girl” make it to a Nas album?? It’s just a boring album plain and simple….I don’t really have a lot to say about it. 19)          Street’s Disciple (82) -I hate having this one so low. I honestly like a lot of the songs on this double disc. Unfortunately there’s quite a bit of filler here just like with Jay-z’s Blueprint 2. Disc one has hits like “Nazareth Savage”, “American Way”, “ Just a Moment” and “ You Know My Style”. Disc 2 has some heat on it too: “Suicide Bounce”, the title track, “Virgo”, “Bridging the Gap” and “Thiefs Theme”.   18) T he Lost Tapes 2 (86) -This one I admit I haven’t heard that much…but its pretty decent. It gets off to a good start with songs like “Vernon Family” and “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)”. A lot of these songs are ok….but not muc...

Album Review: Kid Cudi-Insano (regular version)

I gotta admit I didn't like this album that much when I first heard it over half a year ago. I've heard that Kid Cudi doesn't exactly play to his strengths....that's partly true. I do like his rapping here tho. Honestly most songs here kinda blend together....."Keep Bouncin'" is really hype....and it gets the album off to a good start. "At The Party" with Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott may be my favorite song. "Wow" with A$AP Rocky is another highlight. Overall tho I feel this album tries too hard to be trendy. Cudi needed to put more of his pain into it. I mean a happy Cudi album isn't a bad thing but it really seems odd to me. You're not getting alot of singing or hums here know what I mean? However the production I found to be very good. Cudi is one of my favorite rappers like top 20 and I guess this will do for 2024. Lyrics 20 Beats 23 Depth 21 Tilt 21 Verdict 85

Album Review: Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo & Youth

Lupe has come back, and with a classic album. He seemed to be back on tracks with Food and Liquor II, but F&L2 wasn’t as fun to listen to as his earlier albums. Even LASERS was more fun. This album however, is very complex and fun to listen to. It’s also incredibly well produced. Lupe proves he’s still a top lyricist in the game. Check out his lyrical showcase on Mural, or storytelling on  Prisoner 1 & 2. He’s got a really long song called Chopper which features a lot of guests but its all good. The last song might be the weakest which features Ab-Soul. No Scratches feat. Nikki Jean is one of my favorite songs here. The interludes are pretty intersing, but ultimately skippable. This album is already up for album of the year, and honestly it will be hard for anyone to match this effort. The verdict... its 10/10 for me. This is a great album
