My favorite Video Game Series

Hey y'all. Ive been slacking on the blogging and for that i apologize. Here are my favorite video game series....so far. This is not an easy list to make. Each of the game series' below have good and not so good games in them. I'llk talk about them and give 3 of my favorite games in the seriies.

1)Mario- Mario has to take the top honors here. I have loved Mario games since I was 6 years old. Mario is without a doubt the king of video games. He does it all. He rescues Princess Peach, he parties, races go karts, and some other things. Mario games are not easy. They just start out that way.
My favorite Mario games ...well its hard to pick just three but I like Super Mario 64, New Super Mario Bros.(DS version), and Mario Kart 8.

2)Zelda-Zelda takes 2nd place, but not easily. I also played Zelda at the young age of 6. I thought it was cool, but Zelda 1 was tough, and Zelda 2 was almost unplayable for me. I fell in love with other Zelda releases. I have never played a Zelda game which i just downright hated....ok maybe just Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. I even like Hyrule Warriors which is a spinoff. Zelda games arent that hard, if you know what to do. I really like Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, and A Link Between Worlds.

3)God Of War- Kratos, the character of God of War is a total bad ass. The God Of War games are as exciting and grueling as it gets. These action games are among the best I've played. THere are also tough puzzles in the games. I used to own every God of War game....my favorites are God Of War 3...then 1, then 2. Ascension was ok, but it lacked the intensity that the others have.

4)Final Fantasy-I've been a Final Fantasy fan since 2002 when i got FFX. I fell in love with the game and beat it quickly. FF7 was also really good. I went on to play FF12 which was good but way too hard. FF13 was also very difficult. Final Fantasy games are great RPGs and my favorites to date. They are all different and so creative

5)Super Smash Bros.- I've always loved these games. They are so simple yet so satisfying to play. Playstation Allstars had nothing on this game(games). I started with the first one for N64. I played it soooo much. I like Brawl alot but i have to admit the new iterations of this fighter are incredible. I love to play as Mario, Link, and Captain Falcon.

6)Killzone-This may be a shocker, but I am a big Killzone fan. The 1st one i played in 2005..it was decent, but KZ2 for PS3 was incredible. I loved playing the multiplayer online. It was the first shooter i ever played online.....for a long period of time. KZ3 was also good. Right now, all i have is Killzone Shadowfall and Mecernary. Killzone has the best graphics for shooters, but not the best stories or controls.

7)Pokemon-I literally wanted to be the very best. I never cared for catching them all....I been playing Pokemon games since Red ,BLue, and Yellow. After that I enjoyed playing Pokemon Stadium which was a tough game...very tough. After that I enjoyed Gold and Silver. I really really enjoyed the remakes that came out in 2010. After that the series has kind of lost its originality and become repetitive.

Honorable Mentions

Call of Duty

Metal Gear Solid

Street Fighter

Tekken

Dynasty Warriors
Uncharted

Resistance

Nas Albums Worst to Best

20)      Nastradamus (75)- It really shouldn’t be a surprise to see this one ranked so low. The lyricism isn’t abysmal but everything is pretty average. How does a song like “Big Girl” make it to a Nas album?? It’s just a boring album plain and simple….I don’t really have a lot to say about it. 19)          Street’s Disciple (82) -I hate having this one so low. I honestly like a lot of the songs on this double disc. Unfortunately there’s quite a bit of filler here just like with Jay-z’s Blueprint 2. Disc one has hits like “Nazareth Savage”, “American Way”, “ Just a Moment” and “ You Know My Style”. Disc 2 has some heat on it too: “Suicide Bounce”, the title track, “Virgo”, “Bridging the Gap” and “Thiefs Theme”.   18) T he Lost Tapes 2 (86) -This one I admit I haven’t heard that much…but its pretty decent. It gets off to a good start with songs like “Vernon Family” and “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)”. A lot of these songs are ok….but not muc...

Album Review: Kid Cudi-Insano (regular version)

I gotta admit I didn't like this album that much when I first heard it over half a year ago. I've heard that Kid Cudi doesn't exactly play to his strengths....that's partly true. I do like his rapping here tho. Honestly most songs here kinda blend together....."Keep Bouncin'" is really hype....and it gets the album off to a good start. "At The Party" with Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott may be my favorite song. "Wow" with A$AP Rocky is another highlight. Overall tho I feel this album tries too hard to be trendy. Cudi needed to put more of his pain into it. I mean a happy Cudi album isn't a bad thing but it really seems odd to me. You're not getting alot of singing or hums here know what I mean? However the production I found to be very good. Cudi is one of my favorite rappers like top 20 and I guess this will do for 2024. Lyrics 20 Beats 23 Depth 21 Tilt 21 Verdict 85

Album Review: Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo & Youth

Lupe has come back, and with a classic album. He seemed to be back on tracks with Food and Liquor II, but F&L2 wasn’t as fun to listen to as his earlier albums. Even LASERS was more fun. This album however, is very complex and fun to listen to. It’s also incredibly well produced. Lupe proves he’s still a top lyricist in the game. Check out his lyrical showcase on Mural, or storytelling on  Prisoner 1 & 2. He’s got a really long song called Chopper which features a lot of guests but its all good. The last song might be the weakest which features Ab-Soul. No Scratches feat. Nikki Jean is one of my favorite songs here. The interludes are pretty intersing, but ultimately skippable. This album is already up for album of the year, and honestly it will be hard for anyone to match this effort. The verdict... its 10/10 for me. This is a great album
