Video Game Review: Gears of War 4

Welcome.....to the Xbox side....lol....this is the game that really got me to buy the Xbox One(S). And I blazed through it! I wont deal much with story and such but I will talk about how I felt about this game.

Gears of War 4 is a third person shooting game, and a damn good one. Its really all about action as you blast your way through robots and alien swarm. The latter being much tougher to beat imo. Its a squad based shooter, which means you're rarely ever really alone....in fact I think you're usually surrounded by 2 or 3 other squad mates....

The game looks great and the voice acting is funny. Weapons like the Gnasher and Custom Lancer are terrific. If you die (without being blown up or crushed), a squad mate can revive you. You're expected to do the same because if anyone dies you'll lose. Luckly I found Ally A.I. to be really smart. They take cover, revive you and provide covering fire. It's similar to what I saw in Uncharted 4.

Enemies come in various sizes. There's regular robots which are easily dispatched of...then a heavier type. Then theres these flying things that have shields that can be weakened. Then you face robotic helicopters. The funny thing about this game is the enemies are all given names by your squad....Then theres alien hordes which you first encounter are little annoying f***s called Juvey's. Then you face a soldier type with guns and a heavy type of that form. Then theres alot of other really big ones. The final boss was pretty easy....but only killable due to a certain advantage you have at the end of the game.....

Overall I really like Gears. Its not a long game but its a ton of fun to play. The multiplayer modes are also great. Theres Horde mode which is a survival mode. This is one game you need to check out if you own an Xbox ....

Verdict: 9.1/10

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I happened to beat this game recently for the first time in I was just in awe at how epic this game is. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake (which I played on the ps4). This game was a ps5 exclusive however. I know I needed a ps5 if I was gonna play it. And last year I made that happen. This is a continuation of the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett as they fight against the Shinra Corporation and the evil Sephiroth. I'll try not spoil much. When the game starts you play as Zack who is a solider like Cloud. You saw Zack at the end of Remake. Basically story wise there is another dimension in this game and you play as Zach in it here and there. There is a relationship meter that the main character Cloud has with every party member….answering certain questions one way or another will change the relationship. I found this to be a cool touch that the first game barely had any resemblance of. The game's graphics are outstanding and characters look ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
