My Favorite Video Games of the Year 2017

*I only listed games i've played so no Nintendo games from the switch are here*

5. Star Wars Battlefront 2- SWBF2 is the sequel to the 2015 reboot of Battlefront. You’ve all heard about the play to win thing…easy on the microtransactions bro. Overall I really like this game. The worst thing about it is the same thing as the last installment; when you fight you don’t feel like you are making all that much difference in the battles. The game looks terrific. It’s more in depth than SWBF1. If I were to score it, I’d give it a 7.5.

4.Uncharted Lost Legacy-I really like Uncharted games. This one you don’t play as Nathan Drake, but rather Chloe Frazier. The game is amazing. It looks terrific. The puzzles are interesting too. It falls short of the narrative of Uncharted 4 and kinda feels like Uncharted 4.5. Still tho I cannot wait to beat it.

3.Tekken 7-This might be the pinnacle of Tekken. The game is literally flawless from a technical stand point. The game looks great. I love the new last second pausing when fights are close and rely on a split second blow landing. This completely sh**’s on Street Fighter V.

2.Call of Duty WWII-This is the game fans wanted after a plethora of futuristic CODs…which I liked. I loved the new take on COD as I have been playing them since Modern Warfare 2. The story mode is beast. I do not like the fact you have a non rechargeable health bar in 2017. What is this? Resistance 3? F*** but hey the multiplayer is beast. War mode is absolutely so much fun. Pick this one up.

1. Horizon Zero Dawn-HZD is an amazing action adventure/RPG. Actually, it is not just he best game I’ve played this year, but one of the best games I’ve ever played. The main character is so cool and relatable. The writing is really good and that combat tho…The machines are vicious adversaries. The game is a little on the hard side. You have to really be strategic or you will get wupped. Horizon is my pick for top game of the year.

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
