Movie Review: Marvel's Avengers Infinity War

I think Avengers 3 is the best Marvel movie ever made so far. To be honest that really should surprise no one. 2018 has been a great year for Marvel. Black Panther was amazing also, and expect a review for that soon.

Infinity War, is a movie 10 years in the making. The evil Thanos is basically the main Marvel villain. I didn’t really read the comics or I’d have known this already. He’s the one who sent Loki to earth with the Jatari. So hes basically the main villain. The movie starts really right after Thor Ragnarok ended….Thanos attacks Thor and his crew. It’s a brilliant scene. Unfortunately only Thor and Hulk survive the encounter….

This movie is really quite simple in structure. Its just dialogue by the Avengers usually and fight scenes. There’s lots of them and they are really dope. The goal of the Avengers is a simple one….stop Thanos from getting all 6 infnity stones. Easier said than done. I cannot share everything but yes they fail. Also the children of Thanos are really good fighters too. Thanos’ spokesman, a black mage is really powerful. Lets just say he beats Dr. Strange with minimal effort. While insulting the man lol.

Thanos himself is not a heartless killer, although he appears to be. He’s a villain with incredible dexterity…and good lines to boot. This is a dark movie! Yes noticeably dark, and a cliffhanger. Not all the Avengers are back, but of course the main ones are here like Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Also there’s Guardians of the Galaxy crew like Starlord, Gamora, and Nebula. The newbies are here too like Spiderman and Black Panther. The latter whose movie you really need to see before this…

Thanos commits a kind of “balanced genocide” against people….to him this is “mercy”. Thanos is the step dad of Gamora. He’s not just powerful like Hulk but he’s very smart. A deadly combination. Give him infinity stones like Space and Reality and you have a villain who is ALMOST UNBEATABLE. With all 6 stones he can snap his fingers and kill half the people in the universe…whoa.

The movie is still kinda funny as all Marvel movies are…I really liked the battles. The battle on Titan is dope. With Thanos vs. Half the Avengers lol. Then at the same time the children of Thanos attack Wakanda with an army of evil monster aliens. The movie is over 2 and da half hours long and it never seems dull or boring. The pacing is truly perfect.

This incredible cast of characters are what really fuels the movie. Its so fun to see characters interact with each other. Iron Man is good in this, as is Captain America…and it should be noted that they never even speak once during the film. After getting the time stone Thanos goes straight for Wakanda and Vision, who technically is the Mind Stone, the last infinity Stone. The scene is beautiful and tense. Scarlett Witch is the only Avenger powerful to destroy the Mind stone….She and Vision are dating which is important really for that final scene. I gotta say Vision disappointed me in this film. In Avengers 2 he seriously turned the tide against Ultron. But here he seems very weak.

Ultimately Thanos wins. Unfortunately the most powerful Avenger, Thor, gets a new weopon which is more powerful than his trademark hammer which his evil sister Hela. He uses it to attack Thanos but he doesn’t get the kill. So that sets up Avengers 4 next year. Director Fury has a scene at the end of the credits in which he barely sends a distress signal to Captain Marvel….I cannot wait to see her film next year and of course Avengers 4.

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
