Video Game Blog: Nintendo Switch Review

This is a review of the standard Nintendo Switch that I got in early 2018. I actually sold my Xbox One S to get it. I think it was worth it. Let’s get into the review.

The Nintendo Switch doesn’t have much in terms of media features and you cannot even send friend messages between friends. This is a gamer’s game system to the fullest. The biggest selling point is being able to take Triple A games on the go with you or just play them on the TV. I really like this feature but I usually play in handheld mode even though its only 720p.

The Switch controllers are really dope. They have HD Rumble and are very unique. I like how they can attach to the Switch or be played separately. Also the Pro controller is very comfortable. The games are absolutely great. I haven’t played that many but the ones I have really impressed me. Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are my favorite.

All in all the Switch is a great system. I really don’t like the fact that online isn’t free. I don’t think it’s worth the price…but hey great system overall.

The Verdict

Graphics 8

Games 9.5

Features 8

Controllers  10

Memory 8

Overall: 8.7

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...

My Top Video Games of all time

I've done plenty of music lists, so i think its time to pay homage to my top video games of all time. I'm only going to mention games i've played. So, if a game you like is not up here(which I guarantee a few wont be) let me know. Lets get into it.... 1)       The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I have praised this game so many times, and it’s all well deserved. Ocarina has great controls and the graphics were nice at the time. I really love the story, and how the game is paced. You do a side quest of some kind, which generally isn’t long, then you go to a dungeon, get an item, use that item to get further in the dungeon, then beat the boss. Ocarina is, the best Zelda, and as of right now I don’t think that’s up for discussion. There are some really good Zelda games though such as Wind Waker, ALTTP(which made my list), and some others. 2)       Final Fantasy X- Final Fantasy X….is the only FF I’ve beaten, and I’ve played F...
