2Pac's Me Against the World Review

2pac is at his best on this album. The album doesn’t have a lot of what Pac is famous for, but that doesn’t stop it from being a great and smooth listen. The songs are really catchy. Many of the songs are really thoughtful like Dear Mama….that song is a classic. Overall this is a must have for any rap fan, or someone who hasn’t heard Pac yet. This is a different Pac than his later efforts. I give this album a 10/10

Rapper Breakdown(of ALbums): Jay-z

Rapper-Jay-z Breakdown Date: Late Summer 2013 “The God Mc”   Rapper Albums Reasonable Doubt 1996 Top 3-5 Songs: Dead Presidents II, Can’t Knock the Hustle, Aint No N**ga Album Score: Beats-4.2, Lyrics-5= 4.6 Rapper Stats: Flow-99, Versatility-87, Relevancy-91, Rapper Rating: 92.3 Comments- Jay-z’s debut album is incredible lyrically. The beats aren’t bad either. It’s obvious that from the get go, Jay would be a force in Rap. The album doesn’t really showcase his versatility but that would come later.   In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 1997 Top 3-5 Songs: The City is Mine, (Always Be My) Sunshine, Who You Wit II Album Score: Beats4.3, Lyrics-4.8= 4.55 Rapper Stats: Flow-98, Versatility-88, Relevancy-87 Rapper Rating: 91 Comments- The 2 nd album from Jay didn’t really elevate his status but it was a great album none the less. Beat wise its better than R.D.   And it’s just as deep and cohesive.   Vol. 2….Hard Kn...

My Thoughts-"Let Me Be Clear"

Okay so as you all know the government is shut down...for like the 1st time in a long time. This due to childish, blood thirsty Republicans. I am upset that this thing seems to be about OBama care. Well speaking of our beloved Commander in Chief i am a little upset with some of his recent actions. I mean werent we supposed to teach the SYrian Dictator(I forgot his name) a lesson? I mean he gassed his own people! All i am saying that is our Pres. Seems to want to avoid confrontation now....which seems strange since he attacked Libya with "no regard for human life"(sorry that quote from NBA is so funny) Ok, with that aside I have seen some good movies lately. I will talk about them in order. First i saw Elysium....it was good. The movie was pretty realistic and dramatic. The end was sad since the main character had to die but overall i give it a 8/10. Next up I saw 2 Guns....u know that movie with Denzel and Mark. This movie had a story that was kind of hard to follow at first,...

Keri Hilson's No Boys Allowed Review

Keri returns with a more bitter album than her debut. It’s a sound album, but you can’t but feel she could have done better here. As the title suggests she is mad @ men and don’t want No Boy…lol. The guest features are well used, but should have been spread out more. The album’s construction isn’t that great, but at the end you get a PG remix with Kanye. Overall though the album is good in that it is executed generally well. However I felt some of the concepts for some songs were a little half assed.     I give this album a 8.5/10.

Goodie Mob's Age Against the Machine Review

Goodie Mob returns……where have they been? I mean Cee-Lo has been popular but….uh ok on to the review. This is a solid album with no real great weakness. What I also like is that the songs have meaning to them….Some may complain that there’s too much Cee-Lo here but he does a great job. The other 3 members aren’t bad either. Perhaps the worst thing about this album is the cover…it’s a tad bit strange. This is one album you don’t want to sleep on. Trust me.     I give this album a 9/10.

Drake's Nothing Was the Same Review

Drake’s 3 rd album is his best work yet. The album sounds incredibly well excuted. Also I noticed there’s not a huge guest list like on his first 2 albums. Drake is the star here, and isn’t really outshined by anyone except for maybe Jay-z on one song. The album gets off to a good start and doesn’t let up. Drake is a better lyricist this time around. Its not just about wordplay either: He’s varied his delivery here and it works. Started From the Bottom is an anthemic record. Hold On We’re Going Home reminds me of Find Your Love from his 1 st album, but its more uptempo. The beats on this album are also very good. The album has a whole lot of replayability but there are a couple songs at the end that don’t really help the album. Overall its nice to see Drizzy Drake progressing and making a 90+ album I knew he was capable of. Overall I give this album a 9.5/10......yea I know I gave this score to a lot of albums but this might be the year's best rap album.
