Young Jeezy's Discography

Young Jeezy Discograpy

The Raekwon of the South has a very good discography. I”ll go through each album and rank them also….

Lets Get It: Thug Motivation 101:The album that solidified Jeezy as a true rap star. This was one of my favorite albums back in late 2005(that’s when I copped it). Jeezy raps slow and some of his punchlines are predictable. Also the album is tad bit too long. Complaints aside this is a really good album. Jeezy has an impressive guest list here: Jay-z, T.I., Bun B, and Trick Daddy, Lloyd, and Young Buck. The beats are also fairly impressive. Some songs are a little too similar but this is a great start to a career regardless.

Rank #3

The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102: This has got to be one of the most difficult albums I have ever reviewed. The first few songs are completely lacking in creativity. Then the album picks up with I Luv It, Go Getta, 3 AM….well it actually just goes up from there. This album has a different sound than TM101…and for the most part that’s a good thing.  Jeezy’s guest list includes Keyshia Cole, R.Kelly, T.I(again)….this is a good album but its not his best. Some may say TM102 is superior to 101 and in some ways it is, but ultimately the lackluster beginning drags it down.

Rank #4

The Recession: Arguably Jeezy’s best album….I think it’s his best. For one Jeezy’s lyrical ability has progressed. He really doesn’t do that “slow as molasses” rap here. Also the beats are varied, yet they all seem to blend together really well to give you that cohesiveness that every great album has. The guest list is short also, but every spot is used very well. Kanye steals the show on Put On, while Nas joins Jeezy for the anthemic My President. There’s just so many great songs here, with only a few that don’t really stand out.

Rank #1

TM103: Thug Motivation 103: This isn’t a difficult album to review, but it is constructed a lot differently than Jeezy’s other albums. I suppose its more similar to his first album out of the previous 3. Jeezy holds his own on most songs, and he has a few songs dedicated to the ladies, but none are raunchy like Takin it There and Tear it Up from Recession and TM101 respectively. He is joined by T.I.(again), Jay-z(again), Andre 3000, Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Plies, Jadakiss, Jill Scott, and some others….Overall Jeezy is still a lyrical force to be reckoned with, but the beats are nothing special…but they are effective.

Tech Review: Iphone Air

I have only had this phone for over a week but I feel the need to review it. I recently got a 512gb light gold iPhone Air. This phone is so thin. You really have to hold it for yourself to believe it. I knew when I used it at a local Best Buy I had to have it. The phone is also a modern marvel having most of the technology in the camera bump. Of course you're wondering about that camera and battery life.  Honestly the battery is decent. It gets me through the day at work with minimal charging ( I mean who goes somewhere with no charger anymore?). The camera is good too. I'm not a huge camera guy anyways. The phone's 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is great. I really notice a difference from my old phone (iPhone 12). The phone doesn't really get that hot either which is great. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is the one speaker on the phone....but honestly it's not that bad. I usually use headphones anyways. Apple Intelligence is still in beta but I think ...

Album Review: Kanye West- Donda 2

This was another Kanye album I wasn't too hype to listen to cause of its bad reputation. I am glad he put it on traditional music services. The album was available on this weird music player thing in 2022 at first. Kanye raps alot about his ex wife Kim Kardashian here. I know he did on Donda 1, but he does it a lot more here. The song "Get Lost" feels empty and is so boring. "Security" has a weird beat...I mean it's too weird for its own good.  I really like "Keep the Flowers", its got a nice beat to it.I liked "Too Easy" as well. "City of God" is arguably the best song....Alicia Keys does a great job, as does Five Foreign. A different version of "530" is here as well. I enjoyed "Pablo" too which features Future and Travis Scott. Ultimately its an average album....but it wasn't that bad overall. However it did fall woefully short of the first Donda 2 which was great. Lyrics 18 Beats 21 Depth 18 Tilt 18 Ver...

Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...
