My favorite First Person SHooters of ALllll tiiiime

Okay disclaimer time, I apologize that I havent played much of Halo, Gears of War, and whatever else you claim deserved to be on my list. Also this is a FPS list, meaning FIRST person only. I might make a list of third person shooters as there are a bunch of them...lets get into my picks

5) Goldeneye- A mostly nostalgic pick for me. Goldenye 007 was the game that started the multiplayer mayhem. The game was so much fun to play solo as well, especially with the codes. The cons are the game controls horribly compared to modern shooters. You have to stand still to aim and fire…I haven’t played the Wii Remake though.

4) Call of Duty Black Ops-IT was between this and COD Ghosts believe it or not. I felt Ghosts single player was lame, while Black Ops has one of COD’s best campaigns. BO1 is a made up of mixed up missions across different places in the cold war. The multiplayer is lazy though.

3) Resistance 2-I had to pick R2 over the first one. R2 was bigger and felt more engaging. R1 didn’t really have many boss fights at all. R2 had plenty. The bad thing about R2 is you could only carry 2 weapons at a time. Everything else was really good though, including a huge multiplayer matchmaker.

2) Killzone 2-This was an easy pick over KZ3. KZ2 has a better action  flow to it, despite not having a great story. Its multiplayer was sooooo much fun and unique. The game looks gorgeous as well. Its just damn hard too near the end of the game. I rage quitted a lot at the final boss area, but I’ve beaten it 3 times lol.

1)      Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2-Ah yes…this is, imo the best COD out there. Its also the best FPS I’ve played. Now it has a great single player campaign, but it also has a 2 player Spec Ops mode, which is really challenging and deep. The multiplayer mode is a lot of fun also. You play as different factions not just the same 2 in every match. The cons with the game…are well….that scene in the airport where you shoot at civilians. That’s all.

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
