Rap Regions Tournament West Coast FInals

4)Ice Cube vs. 5)2pac

4th seed Ice Cube: In Round 1 Defeated Eazy E 5-1, In R2 he beat Schoolboy Q 5-2, He beat Dr. Dre 4-2.

5th seed 2pac: In Round 1 defeated Jay Rock 4-2, he beat Kendrick Lamar 4-3, and The Game 4-3.

Flow: It’s a tie. Both rappers are legendary….1-1

Delivery: Hmm Cube and Pac attack each beat when they want to, but Pac seems just a little more versatile in that regard. 1-2

Albums: Ice Cube wins by  hair. He’s got 2 classics and some other great albums, while some of Pac’s posthumous works counts against him(while it didn’t count againt Biggie). 2-2

Story: Another tie folks. Ice Cube could really story tell, especially early Ice Cube. Pac is known for that as well…..so yeah 3-3.

Legacy: Another tie breaker based on Legacy. While I love Cube’s legacy, he’s known more for being an actor than a rapper. So yeah Pac wins this category.

2pac wins 4-3

Final Thought:This could be called an upset, but not really. Pac was only the 5th seed since his albums weren’t better than Cube, Dr. Dre, The Game, and Kendrick lamar.  Jay Rock was easily beaten, but Kendrick Lamar & The Game almost beat he WC legend. Ice Cube was no different but Pac gets it done. I do consider 2pac to be the most complete rapper in any region. The MJ of rap so to speak. He excelled at any kind of song.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I happened to beat this game recently for the first time in I was just in awe at how epic this game is. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake (which I played on the ps4). This game was a ps5 exclusive however. I know I needed a ps5 if I was gonna play it. And last year I made that happen. This is a continuation of the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett as they fight against the Shinra Corporation and the evil Sephiroth. I'll try not spoil much. When the game starts you play as Zack who is a solider like Cloud. You saw Zack at the end of Remake. Basically story wise there is another dimension in this game and you play as Zach in it here and there. There is a relationship meter that the main character Cloud has with every party member….answering certain questions one way or another will change the relationship. I found this to be a cool touch that the first game barely had any resemblance of. The game's graphics are outstanding and characters look ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
