My Thoughts: Barbadian Queen Rihanna

Rihanna is my favorite singer. I feel like I didn't really know a lot about her. I feel that she is a truly wonderful woman and she is SUPREMELY talented and a very beautiful. She is a tall woman from the Island of Barbados. I'm pretty sure my readers know of her.

I feel the more I learn about her. The more intrigued I am by her. She's very passionate about what she does. Rihanna released 4 albums from 2009-2012. That's 4 years and all 4 albums were 90 rated (or above) which is incredible.

I just feel she's a wonderful woman. I didnt know she was an ambassador fo rher country. She also is really into fashion. I think that what makes her perhaps the most dominant Pop-R&B artist of this current era is the fact that she is REAL. There is no fakeness with Rihanna. I can understand that an artist has to promote themselves for their music. But you don't get the sense "Artist Rihanna" is not the girl from "Barbados".

I graded albums very hard back in the day. Not sure why. I feel her best album, Good Girl Gone Bad, is actually a 9.9/10. I thought the album was flawless, except I cant really....say its her best vocal performance. Her Loud album is very versatile...as is really all her albums after that. So I'm just saying that she improved as an arstist. The GGGB album tho propelled her to super stardom.

She has been a victim of domesetic abuse. It never dawned on me that she was the woman in Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" I guess it dawned on me when i saw a live performance of her crying...she..she coudlnt sing the words to her song. Which is understandable. I haven't talked much about my own dating life...but I have been the victim of a user. I am not trying to clarify the level of "relationship crime" but I can just speak on the fact that it really HURTS bad when you think someone loves you but really they don't. Eventually I had to let her go. I just couldn't let that continue.

So why write this now? Well thats nobody business...Lets just say I got up to Rih Rih and say "Te Amo"

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

My Top Video Games of all time

I've done plenty of music lists, so i think its time to pay homage to my top video games of all time. I'm only going to mention games i've played. So, if a game you like is not up here(which I guarantee a few wont be) let me know. Lets get into it.... 1)       The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I have praised this game so many times, and it’s all well deserved. Ocarina has great controls and the graphics were nice at the time. I really love the story, and how the game is paced. You do a side quest of some kind, which generally isn’t long, then you go to a dungeon, get an item, use that item to get further in the dungeon, then beat the boss. Ocarina is, the best Zelda, and as of right now I don’t think that’s up for discussion. There are some really good Zelda games though such as Wind Waker, ALTTP(which made my list), and some others. 2)       Final Fantasy X- Final Fantasy X….is the only FF I’ve beaten, and I’ve played F...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
