Album Review: Kanye West- Donda 2

This was another Kanye album I wasn't too hype to listen to cause of its bad reputation. I am glad he put it on traditional music services. The album was available on this weird music player thing in 2022 at first. Kanye raps alot about his ex wife Kim Kardashian here. I know he did on Donda 1, but he does it a lot more here. The song "Get Lost" feels empty and is so boring. "Security" has a weird beat...I mean it's too weird for its own good.  I really like "Keep the Flowers", its got a nice beat to it.I liked "Too Easy" as well. "City of God" is arguably the best song....Alicia Keys does a great job, as does Five Foreign. A different version of "530" is here as well. I enjoyed "Pablo" too which features Future and Travis Scott. Ultimately its an average album....but it wasn't that bad overall. However it did fall woefully short of the first Donda 2 which was great. Lyrics 18 Beats 21 Depth 18 Tilt 18 Ver...

Album Review: Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist- Alfredo 2

I don’t listen to much Freddie Gibbs. But this album was so good I want to hear more from him. The Alchemist production was really smooth and fit Freddie’s flows well. Freddie is a gangster rapper and the bars were hardcore throughout the album. I really enjoyed "Mar-a-Lago" and "Lemon Pepper Steppers". Most of the features were pretty good too; like JID and Anderson .Paak. The last song "A Thousand Mountains" is really fire as Alchemist blesses us with a Japanese sounding beat. This album was really well balanced. But yeah this was certainly one of the better rap albums of 2025. I've got to hear the first Alfredo now.  Lyrics 23 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 22 Verdict 91

Clipse Albums Worst to Best

  4) Till the Casket Drops (88 )-A lot of people don’t like this album but it’s honestly pretty good. The production is pretty damn good, and the bars are good too. Clipse have seemed better on the mic tho lyrically. “Popular Demand” with Cam’ron is fire. I think “Kinda Like a Big Deal” with a prime Kanye West is the best song however. I like the feel of the club track “Eyes on Me” featuring Keri Hilson. Keri sounds kinda odd on this song tho. The album closer “Life Change” is great too. There are a few songs that are kinda average tho here. Favorite Song: Kind of Like a Big Deal. 3) Lord WIllin’(93) - I kinda grew up with this album. The 2 Virginia brothers did the state proud with this album. The album gets off to a great start with songs like “Young Boy”, “Virginia”, “Cot Damn” and the anthemic “Grindin’”. “Ma I Don’t Love Her” featuring Faith Evans is the song for the ladies. The production outshines the lyrics by a little bit. However this is a pretty well balanced album. A...

Album Review: Kehlani- While We Wait

I meant to review this album a while back. This is a really solid mixtape by Kehlani. "Too Deep" is a really great song. She's really in her bag on "Nunya" feat. Dom Kennedy. I really enjoyed "Nights Like This" feat. Ty Dolla $ign also. The mixtape is really short but it left me wanting more. In fact I'd say this was about as good as the next 2 albums she released. The lyrics were really on point. I liked most of these songs. I'll get around to her 2024 projects she released. Be on the lookout for that.   Lyrics 24 Beats 22 Depth 24 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Album Review: Kanye West & Ty Dolla $Ign- Vultures 2

I gotta admit I delayed getting this album but it was on sale. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. There’s some good tracks here… “Bomb” has Kanye’s daughters rap/talking. It’s part cute but also kinda corny. “Fried” and “530” I liked. Kanye says “you don’t love me, listen to Drake bitch”. lol. There are some really bad songs like “Husband”. God it’s awful. Overall the album features pretty basic lyrics. Like with Vultures 1 he's just not talking about much of nothing.  The production is decent tho across the album. "Sky City" was another highlight. Ultimately its not a horrible album but very disapoininting cause there were glimpses of good there....in the midst of a lot of mediocre tracks. Lyrics 17 Beats 20 Depth 17 Tilt 18 Verdict 72

Album Review: Tyler the Creator- Don't Tap the Glass

This album grew on me. It’s just Tyler having fun for once after the theme heavy Chromakopia. It’s funny I just did a discography ranking for Tyler cause I didn’t think he was gonna come out with a new album any time soon. This is Tyler’s shortest album thus far at only ten songs. He’s not as lyrical as he’s been on the past couple albums . I really like the title track. It’s just a banger. "Suck Free" is dope too. I do like the different sounds and styles he implores here. "Mommanem" is short but has one of the hottest beats. It was dope to hear him rap with Pharrell Williams on the first song "Big Poe". This album has great production, but I've come to expect that from Tyler's albums. Overall it's good to see him try something new. He's really become one of my favorite rappers ever since 2015. Video Game Review: Jedi Fallen Order

I meant to review this game way back in the day when I first beat it but this is coming after my 2nd play-through. This time I played the game on hard difficulty and man was it tough. Compared to Jedi Survivor I think the game has a better story. You join Jedi padawan Cal Kestis as he escapes a scrapyard planet Bracca , fleeing from the Empire. Cal comes face to face with an Inquistor called 2nd sister. You end up fighting her a total of 4 times in the game.  The main story is Cal must help a former Jedi named Cere and her pilot Greez to find a Jedi holocron that has a list of force sensitive children to rebuild the Jedi Order. I gotta say the planets you visit are all for the most part pretty flushed out . I found Zeffo to be the main planet and navigating it is truly awful. Well I’m glad they made navigation better in Jedi Survivor. Of all the planets Dathomir (Darth Mauls planet) was by far the worst. There was tough enemies around every corner there and hard boss fights w...

Album Review: Keri Hilson- We Need to Talk: Love

Who knew we'd finally get a new Keri Hilson album after almost 15 years. I gotta say its short and sweet! In the intro she kinda talks about how she's felt over the years. The first song "Naked (Love)" kinda has a weird tempo to it. "Searchin" feat Method Man is a true banger. The album features really good singing and songwriting from Keri....but that's what you'd expect. The production is pretty good too. I liked the song "Bae" too...kinda felt right out of the late 2000s. The album is just pretty well balanced as you can see from the scores. Overall I think this is a good album from Keri...no its not her best but I think it's about as good as her No Boys Allowed album. Lyrics 22 Beats 22 Depth 22 Tilt 22 Verdict 88

Album Review: Jeezy- I Might Forgive, I Don't Forget

This (Young) Jeezy album is actually pretty solid despite being almost 30 songs. Jeezy raps well on it but there is kinda of a been there done that feel to most of the songs. The first song "I Might Forgive" is one of the best. "No Complaining" is another highlight. Ultimately tho the number of songs can kinda weigh this one down. The production is solid but he's rapped on better. I'd have to say this one is one of his weaker albums but for fans of Jeezy; give this one a try. Lyrics 22 Beats 20 Depth 21 Tilt 20 Verdict 83
