Album Review: Megan Thee Stallion-Fever

Megan Thee Stallion tries to stand out in a rap world dominated by the likes of Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. I like her delivery and flow. She is very much a dirty south rapper. The album has pretty much basic subject matter that you might expect from a female MC. There's "Sex Talk" which is really hot. "Pimpin" is similar to that but more in your face. Megan's delivery and flow is definitely this album's strong point. "Dance" is one of the many bangers here. The beats aren't bad but I've heard better. I was a little apprehensive to give her a try but this quality rap music. Lyrics: 23 Beats: 21 Depth: 23 Tilt: 22 Verdict: 89

Album Review: Tyler the Creator-IGOR

Tyler returns with his 5th LP, IGOR. What the album isn’t is a return to his horrocore roots. It’s actually more of the smooth sound he’s been perfecting since Cherry Bomb.I saw the album title and thought yeh he’s taking it back...and I’m actually glad he didn’t. The album is actually a love story concept this time. We don’t get much rapping from him but we do get some auto tuned singing. Earfquake is just an amazing song. It’s smooth and catchy. That’s kind of how this whole album is. Some other highlights are “I Think” and “New Magic Wand”. Overall this album isn’t as good as his magnum opus, Flower Boy, but it will do till next  time. Favorite Marvel Movies and Ranking

This is a ranking of my favorite Marvel movies. 12) Thor (8.25) -Thor 1 was really good. I liked how it introduced the main character and main antagonist Loki. I think this movie holds up pretty well too. There’s not really a whole lot of action as far as MCU movies go. Thor would later become my favorite hero of the MCU…barely. 11) Iron Man (8.5) -The movie that started it all was a really good film. The movie had a slight plot twist near the end regarding who the real villain was. It’s amazing that if this movie had bombed there might not have been a MCU. No The Incredible Hulk don’t really count even tho they mention it. 10) Iron Man 3 (8.75) - I think I enjoyed IM3 the most of the 3. It just had so   much going on…and an unexpected plot twist regarding who’s the real villain. Iron Man 2 was pretty lame but ultimately not the worst of the MCU. Tony Stark is definitely a really likeable protagonist. 9) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (9) - I didn’t like Guardi...

My Thoughts-Logic

Its time for me to give you my honest thoughts on another artist. Logic is a terrific rapper out of Maryland. I really have liked every album he's put out since he went mainstream in 2014. He's a really good lyricist and I respect that. Especially in the world of many mumble rappers. I remember when I first heard Under Pressure, his first album. I really liked it despite him sounding kind of like Kendrick Lamar. Then he dropped The Incredible True Story. It was another solid album. Then came Bobby Tarantino which I bumped like all summer. In 2017 Logic dropped Everbody, which I was so hype I remember getting it the first day. I think I even managed to get it before I went to work that day. So basically Logic was this dude always talkin about his race who could do no wrong musically. Everybody was actually tied for rap album of the year for me with Big K.R.I.T.'s album, King Remembered in Time. So the streak for Logic continued into 2018 with Bobby Tarantino II. It was...

Album Review: Ella Mai-(Self Titled Album)

This album is a very smooth listen. Ella Mai is a beautiful woman who makes beautiful music. "Boo'd Up" the lead single is great as are other songs like "Gut Feeling" and "Close" and "Dangerous".She keeps guests spots to a  minimal. There's only John Legend, H.E.R., and Chris Brown. I found almost every song to be quality, but the production is rather standard. All in all this is a good R&B album that you should check out. Lyrics: 23 Beats: 21 Depth: 24 Tilt: 24 Verdict: 92

Album Review: Logic-Confession of a Dangerous Mind

Logic returns in 2019 with what is probably his worst rap album. However its not bad its just not that lyrical or as interesting as some past projects. I really like "Homicide" which features Eminem and "Don't Be Afraid to Be Different" which features Will Smith. "Keanu Reeves" is a pretty catchy track. The album's production is strong and it has good replay value. I'm not really sure what to say about this project beyond the fact its starting to look like Logic  (a very prolific rapper); needs a break. The album isn't bad tho, but I just couldnt help but want more. Lyrics: 22 Beats: 23 Depth: 22 Tilt: 23 Verdict: 90

My Thoughts: Star Wars

I have reviewed Star Wars stuff often on this blog but it dawns on me; I've never given you guys my thoughts on SW and its fandom. Let's back up. I have been a fan of star wars ever since 1998. I remember a family member got me the original trilogy on VHS. They had no idea what they were doing! lol The OT was absolutely amazing. I remember I finished A New Hope that night but I had seen about half of the first one before over another family member's house. I really liked how tense and creative Star Wars was (A New Hope). As good as that was I saw Empire Strikes Back the next day. The mighty plot twist involving Darth Vader blew me away. I think I saw Return of the Jedi right after that...i'm not sure. I remember really liking Luke Skywalker. I didn't really like Vader that much at the time. Not long after those days I heard there was gonna be a new Star Wars movie called Phantom Menace. I was really hype for it. I really enjoyed the movie but I could kind ...
