My Thoughts 2020

This post is kinda overdue, but I figure I'd give some of my thoughts on current events. The Black Lives Matter movement has been reinvigorated due to yet another black person being murdered by the police.  George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis by a corrupt, evil cop. Its like damn man why would you do that. People have been in the house due to Corona Virus and apparently many are getting out and using this event to riot and loot. I understand why many are upset but this violent rioting and looting isn't really helping anything. Our president isn't really helping anything with his divisive tweets...but hey what else would you expect from President Dump...oops Trump at this point? This is all just really sad. I'm doing pretty good myself. I have lots of music to review actually but I haven't been posting here that much and I apologize for that. Also expect a review of the last Star Wars movie at some point. I need to watch it again to give a better review. Thats not...

Album Review: Joyner Lucas-ADHD

I remember not liking Joyner Lucas simply cause he had beef with Logic. Well that’s obviously a thing of the past. Joyner’s album is pretty good but there are some glaring flaws here and there. He is a good lyricist and I like that fast flow he employs on a lot of songs here. The beats are good too. I feel like the singles are pretty much the best songs except for “10 Bands” and “Finally”. The album’s closer, “Broke and Stupid” is also really good. “Will” is a great ode to Will Smith, while “Lotto” is my s***. I really don’t really care for the skits tho. They seem redundant. I think Joyner is a good rapper but he needs work to be a great one. Lyrics: 22 Beats:21 Depth:21 Tilt: 20 Verdict: 84

Album Review: Dua Lipa- Future Nostalgia

I just gotta say I really enjoyed this latest offering from Dua Lipa. It sounds so new yet classic at the same time. I guess that's why she called it Future Nostalgia. "Physical" might be the best song. Its so energetic and catchy. There's plenty of good songs here, in fact I liked them all."Hallucinate" is another banger. "Good in Bed" is the only sexually explicit one up here. The production is great too. Dua is a good singer as well. This album is the first great one of 2020 I've heard. I look forward to more music from Dua Lipa. Lyrics: 24 Beats: 24 Depth: 25 Tilt: 25 Verdict: 98

My Thoughts: Ja Rule

I'm back with another blog post in what feels like forever. I apologize to the fans and I'll try to at least blog once or twice a week.  Today I wanna give My Thoughts on rapper Ja Rule. When I was a teenager Ja Rule was on top of the charts. I really respected his hits like "Livin it Up", "Between Me and You", "Put it On Me" and the first hit "Holla Holla". Ja Rule was a decent rapper but he was the king of what I call "Melodic Rap". I would say he originated it. Sounds that guys like Drake use a lot today. Even Ja's rival 50 Cent would do a lot of singing. Speaking of 50 Cent. He completely flipped the script on Ja Rule. He joked him for singing a lot which is ironic like is said cause 50 would sing a lot of G-UNit's hits. I didn't get my first Ja Rule album till 2003 when Ja's popularity was beginning to decline. The one I got was Last Temptation; and it was really good. I remember a guy once asked me ...

Corona Virus Scare

It's really only been a week since the Corona Virus was declared a Pandemic and already you can see it having major effect on the United States. The virus is deadly and I hope you're social distancing as we've been acknowledged by experts. I've seen a lot of memes about the virus and to me that kinda lessens the impact of what's going on right now. I like a good laugh as much as the next guy, but people are dying out there. That's NOT FUNNY. May we all get through these tough times together. It may be rough but we'll get thru it.

Album Review: Eminem- Music to be Murdered By

I finally got around to reviewing this new Eminem album. The album is pretty damn good albeit not quite as good as Kamikaze.....I even prefer Revival to this one check my scores. "Godzilla" is a dope track featuring the late Juice WRLD. I love the beat, the chorus, and Eminem's verses. A lot of hooks on this album are a little lack luster but overall I enjoyed most songs. Not all the songs are dark here...in face very few are. "Stepdad" sounds like an old Eminem song which is a good thing. "Darkness" is one of the better songs. Its slow sure but hearing Eminem compare his rapping at a show to the Las Vegas shooter is very creative. Overall I'm pleased with this album but I kinda was wanting more...more songs like "Yah Yah" which was dope af. I'm debating on doing a Track by Track review for this album. We'll see. Remembering Kobe Bryant

My heart was heavy when I heard the news this past Sunday. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash yesterday. My condolences to the Bryant family, NBA family, and the other victim's families. The news was just almost unreal and horribly saddening. Kobe was my favorite player in the NBA... easily. I remember seeing his games with Shaq and seeing him win 3 championships back to back. I truly became a Laker fan when I saw him loose in the 2008 Finals to the Boston Celtics. I felt sorry for Kobe honestly. It made me root for him and then I saw him win a title without Shaq and then another title without Shaq. The last one over the Boston Celtics at that. And who could forget his last game where he scored 60 against the Utah Jazz to close out that season. I'm also forgetting the 81 point game he had in 2006. I know this is a celebrity death but Kobe was like a hero to me. I saw him hit so many big shots and play in so many big games. I gotta mention the...
