Game's Discography

The Documentary : The album that put the Game on the map. It was heavily assisted by Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. Production wise the album is awesome featuring stand out tracks produced by not only Dr. Dre, but also Kanye West and Timbaland. The best song on the album is between Dreams and Higher. The opening track is also one of the best West Coast songs period. The Game does a good job lyrically but he seems better lyrically on his next albums. Overall this is a landmark album for the west coast. Disc Rank: #1 Doctor’s Advocate : Some hail this as Game’s best album or his 2 nd best. I say neither. It is a pretty dope album though. Game stays in the spotlight and doesn’t lose any of it to his guests which include Kanye, Snoop Dogg, and Xzbit. What’s so impressive is the Game didn’t have any assistance from Dr. Dre but still retains that West side vibe feel. The album features a more lyrically focused Game who tackles tough issues like being kicked out of aftermath….. D.R.: #4 L.A.X...

My Favorite Rap albums from 2000-2010

My Favorite Rap Albums (2000-2010) Following is a list of my favorite rap albums. I judge more based on how much I listened to the album at the time I copped   it, not based on any type of score. The albums aren’t in order. There are 50 total….hope u enjoy it or if you disagree with what I say about an album just let me know. Graduation(2007): Kanye West- This album is probably my absolute favorite out of all Mr. West’s album. For starters it was highly anticipated. The album didn’t disappoint at all, with the exception of Drunk n. Hot Girls. The beats were great, but what surprised me most was K’s Lyrical growth which was evident on many songs. Favorite Tracks: Stronger, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Big Brother Word of Mouf(2001): Ludacris-This was the first rap album I ever bought. I hailed it as my favorite until the aforementioned album. Ludacris just has so many hits on this one. This is definitely the album that helped get me into Rap. Luda ’s punchlines are funny and hi...

Rap Regions: East Coast

Rap Regions East Coast Welcome to the East Coast, where rap/hip hop music was born. East Coast Rappers are the originators, and usually what most people think of when they think “Rapper”. Here’s a look at the Eastside. Major Cities of Influence : New York (Brooklyn, Queens…), New Jersey Key rapping traits: Lyricism is valued very highly. Complex word play and Continual delivery. If it were kid at high school: The upperclassmen who are just cruising along, and is known as “the cool kid”. Major Rappers Jay-z: Whether you love him or hate him, Jay-z is THE MOST versatile rapper alive. In fact he’s the most versatile rapper that ever rapped in the East Coast. He can rap slow, fast, or…in between. Jigga has been putting it down since 1996 with his first album and despite retiring in 2003, he shows no sign of slowing down since his return to the rap game in 2006. HOVA can make party songs with the best of them, or make songs for the hood, he even excels at love songs lik...

My Favorite Star Wars Moments (1-10)

Here's my top Ten.....may the force be with you.....              I.       Obi Wan defeats Darth Vader- This is the #1 moment, well I’m actually referring to the entire duel which was beautifully done in Revenge of the Sith. A suit-less Darth Vader goes at Obi Wan Kenobi, a powerful Jedi master. Obi wan owned General Grievous but this proves that Anakin/Vader was a much tougher opponent. At the duel’s conclusion Obi gets the high ground and dares his adversary to still fight him. Anakin does, and pays for it dearly, losing another arm and both his legs….and on top of that he is burned very badly at the foot of a mustafar lava river….talk about a bad day. Obi Wan is disgusted but clearly does not want to kill Anakin, he simply lets the force decide….some 19 years later Vader gets his revenge…..EPIC DUEL!           II.       Anak...

Old Rap Vs. New Rap Volume 1

Ok i have been listening to a lot of "old rap" lately...no i dont mean ancient, but i mean rap that came out in the 90s or the early 2000s. I've noticed that in the old stuff lyricism was valued WAY more...in fact thats wat makes a lot of these albums special. I've been listenin to some Raekwon, Nas, Talib Kweli, and some Mos Def too. Thats all good right...but im reminded of statements made like "HIP HOP is dead" and i think wow, really? Well the answer isnt yes, but getting there.....Rap music has been changing a lot since the year 2000, and thats understandable. I remember when the dirty south seemed to take over the rap scene around like 2003 and 2004. Its not as popular right now as it was then....u kno guys like lil jon, ying yang twins, and David Banner helped fuel this movement. Theres nothin wrong wit that. In fact guys like Ludacris and TI are great dirty south rappers and are great for rap. But the problem is, well i think even with some of t...
