Video Game System Review: PS5 Slim

So if you've been following the blog you knew this post was coming. Last month I finally was able to get a Playstation 5. OMG was it well worth the wait. It was looking like I'd be stuck on the last generation forever lol.

The graphical upgrade on the PS5 is pretty noticeable. Of course I'm sure it would be better with a 4k TV but my smart tv is 1080p so its fine for now. I do notice more details and such in the games. For example in NBA 2k26 the players are far more expressive and move more lifelike.

I don't have a lot of games right now, but I have played some like NBA 2k26, Tekken 8, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Expect a review on that one day). The load times are insanely fast. It's really noticeable from the PS4. There is a game switcher in the controller home button menu that can switch games really easily.

The PS5 can do a lot of things. The controller has a built in mic and streaming is so easy. You don't have to stream of course you can choose to record a set amount of time that is a lot more exact than what you got with the PS4. You can also share your screen with a friend which is something I gotta try out.

The PS5 controller is a thing of beauty. It truly is peerless imo. It's got insane haptics that blow away even what the Nintendo Switch joy cons had. It can also apply pressure to the triggers to give you haptics there. It's just so comfortable to hold too.

Memory for the PS5 is decent but nothing special. I mean the PS5 Slim includes more memory than the original PS5 but 1 terabyte barely cuts it. I'll have to expand storage soon and that isn't cheap.

Overall I'd say it's pretty easy to see why the PS5 was so successful this generation. I would definitely recommend you pick one up. I got the disc version cause I like physical media but you can't really go wrong with either version.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I happened to beat this game recently for the first time in I was just in awe at how epic this game is. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake (which I played on the ps4). This game was a ps5 exclusive however. I know I needed a ps5 if I was gonna play it. And last year I made that happen. This is a continuation of the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett as they fight against the Shinra Corporation and the evil Sephiroth. I'll try not spoil much. When the game starts you play as Zack who is a solider like Cloud. You saw Zack at the end of Remake. Basically story wise there is another dimension in this game and you play as Zach in it here and there. There is a relationship meter that the main character Cloud has with every party member….answering certain questions one way or another will change the relationship. I found this to be a cool touch that the first game barely had any resemblance of. The game's graphics are outstanding and characters look ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
