My Favorite Artists 2017: R&B Artists (Part 2)

1.       Rihanna (6)-Rih Rih got a huge boost this time around. Anti was a great album, and she shows no signgs of slowing down. I picked her over Beyonce….im just a bigger Rihanna fan; always have been actually.
2.       Beyoncé (3)-While I’m not a huge fan, I am a fan. B has been killin it! Her last 2 albums have been classics. Nuff said.
3.       Usher (4)-Mr. Raymond jumped up a spot. He’s really dope. An all time great for sure. I didn’t think Hard II Love would be as good as it is.
4.       Tinashe(new)-If you know me, then you know I’m  a huge Tinashe fan. Albeit not enough to put her in the top 3…but hey! She needs more albums, but the 2 I’ve heard I really like.
5.       Alicia Keys (3)-Miss Keys fell back a couple spots but the competition is tough. Her last album HERE, was one of her best.
6.       Trey Songz (1)-Big fall off for Trigga Trey, but honestly its only cause his last album wasn’t that great. Still tho, he’s’ a dominant force in the genre to me.
7.       Kehlani (new)-I gave her a chance earlier this year and omg I’m so glad I did. Her debut album is a classic. Maybe the best R&B record this year!
8.       Alessia Cara (new)-another new songstress. Her debut album is just so good and so different from her contemporaries. I really enjoy her songs….
9.       SZA (new)-There’s no denying the talent of this young lady. I hadn’t even heard Z yet, so Ctrl got her this spot. Amazing talent.
10.   Ne-Yo (5)-Welp….this man needs another album. Still an all time great but at least he makes my top ten right?
11.   Chris Brown(new)-IDK how CB didn’t make the top 10 last time…but here he is. I still gotta hear his latest album…..its over 40 songs sheesh!
12.   Frank Ocean (13)-I really like Frank but I admit blonde is not an all time great R&B record to me like Channel orange was.
13.   K. Michelle (new)-You cannot deny KM’s incredible ability. Her 2 albums I have reviewed are awesome. I mean like classics. Put some respeck on her name!
14.   Lyfe Jennings (15)-I really like Lyfe. I have all his albums now. He’s definitely a great artist who keeps it 100.

15.   Keyshia Cole (new)-Just squeaking in is KC. Her albums are great…most of them. The latest one ceratainly is….

Album Review: Schoolboy Q-Blue Lips

Ok I am a big Schoolboy Q fan. I gotta say I love this album...but believe it or not what kept me from getting it till fall 2024 was that horrendous album artwork lol. I mean damn its gross! Schoolboy has some great flows and lyricism on this album. "Thank god 4 me" is absolute flames. "Blueslides" is another highlight. There's something about the song "first" that is just so catchy to me. "Yern" is also pretty hard man. The guest list is minimal but it works. The production is really good here too. The album isn't quite as good as Blank Face to me but its definitely a major improvement over his last album Crash Talk. Definitely check this one out. Lyrics 24 Beats 23 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 93

My Top Video Games of all time

I've done plenty of music lists, so i think its time to pay homage to my top video games of all time. I'm only going to mention games i've played. So, if a game you like is not up here(which I guarantee a few wont be) let me know. Lets get into it.... 1)       The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time- I have praised this game so many times, and it’s all well deserved. Ocarina has great controls and the graphics were nice at the time. I really love the story, and how the game is paced. You do a side quest of some kind, which generally isn’t long, then you go to a dungeon, get an item, use that item to get further in the dungeon, then beat the boss. Ocarina is, the best Zelda, and as of right now I don’t think that’s up for discussion. There are some really good Zelda games though such as Wind Waker, ALTTP(which made my list), and some others. 2)       Final Fantasy X- Final Fantasy X….is the only FF I’ve beaten, and I’ve played F...

Album Review: Clipse- Let God Sort Em Out

Well I didn't rush this review, I've had some time to sit with this album. It's a hell of a comeback album. Pusha T and Malice are deadly as ever on the mic. The album lyrically is intense. Production is pretty good too but I expected slightly more from an album produced entirely by Pharrell Williams. Speaking of Pharrell, he's all over this album...sometimes not just relegated to a hook. The album gets off to a great start with "The Birds Don't Sing" where both brothers talk about their parents who passed. Pusha T raps about his Mom. Malice about his dad. I really liked the vibe of "All Things Considered"; the The-Dream feature is good. That brings me to the features....like a monster one from Kendrick Lamar on "Chains & Whips". Tyler the Creator does well on "P.O.V.". Nas is on the 2nd last track and he does well too. "M.T.B. T. T. F." is fire, and it stands for Mike Tyson Blow to the Face lol. Ultimately its h...
