Album Review: Tyla- A*Pop

I gotta admit this album really grew on me. Tyla is a beautiful singer and she has a really nice voice. Songs like "Fairytale" are really smooth. "Kiss" is a banger too. I know she gets a lot of Rihanna comparisons and honestly I can see why. Rihanna is one of her inspirations and you can hear it. "Chanel" is a really dope song. I didn't even realize that song was on this album till I got it. Production wise the album is pretty solid. Overall though I feel the album could of used another feature or two but the ones here like Zara Larsson on "She Did It Again" are decent. Yeah I've got to hear her first album now. This was a nice album that grows on you. I hope she has a long career. Tyla is awesome! Lyrics 22 Beats 22 Depth 23 Tilt 23 Verdict 90

Video Game Review: Gears of War E-Day

Recently my best friend and I beat Gears of War E-day. I don't own an xbox anymore. I was able to play on my MacBook Air via Gamepass. It was a load of fun. I played about 40-50% of the campaign alone. I've now beaten every mainline Gears of War game and I've got to say this one was the hardest!     In this Gears game you get to see the very beginning of the war between the Cog and the Locusts called Emergence Day. It is a very dark game. Things are pretty scary especially early on. You're literally at a bar getting drinks after a ceremony when the earthquakes happen and all hell breaks loose. I found the new characters Mags and Lucas to be really good and well fleshed out.  Even tho this is a prequel there are plenty of new weapons to use like the Gut Puncher which is a grenade launcher. There's also the Ripper which was a personal favorite of mine. The Incinerator was cool too which is an imulsion firing gun. Also there is a good amount of customization to your a...

Album Review: Tinashe-Popstar

Just when you thought Tinashe was losing her touch after the last album she drops a masterpiece. Popstar is a Pop album and a damn good one! Lead single "Melatonin" is a certified club banger. I love the edited vocals she uses here. On "Empty Stadium" Tinashe sings as if just no-one is listening to her in an empty stadium. I like the vibes of that one. "Flashbacks" has a nice smooth feel to it too. The 3 song run of "Crash Out", "Pillow Fight", and "Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore" needs to be studied. The former is really dope. Kinda reminds me of some of her earlier work on her Nightride album. None of these songs are long so it makes for a perfect listen. The production is very good too as is her performances here. She talks about the industry on the title track which is interesting. Basically this is the album I always hoped Tinashe would make. Put some respect on her name! Video Game Review: Marvel's Spiderman 2

I just beat Spider-Man 2 last night. Omg it was so good. The combat felt and traversal felt better than the first game . However the story wasn’t really as good. The game is open world throughout basically the same New York as the first game which is cool. The game lets you play as Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Both are similar but have different special attacks. At first Peter has the mechanical arms from the marvel movies. But later he gets the black symbiotic suite. It’s very powerful and plays a role in the late game. Miles has electric attacks and they’re very potent. He can turn invisible too but I often forgot I could do that.  You also get access to upgradable gadgets like the upshot that really help out a lot in battle. This game has quite a bit of enemy variety too. Early in the game you’ll be facing alot of Kraven’s hunters. There’s a lot of different types. There’s just regular dudes, shooters, snipers, shield wielding ones, and sword wielding ones. The sword gu...
