Kanye West Album Intro songs Ranked

Songs graded on Lyrics, Beat, and Replay ability each category out of 5.

13) I Thought About KillIng You: Ye (2.33)

It shouldn’t come as a big surprise that this intro is Kanye’s worst intro track. Sure it fits in with the album’s theme…but there’s just not a whole lot I like here. The lyrics aren’t all that, but the beat is ok. The album does get better after that tho.

12) Selah: Jesus is King (2.5)

I really like Kanye’s energy on this track. The way the song progresses is really cool too. The “halleluiah” chants are dope. Sure its not one of his better intro songs but its pretty damn good. The end of the song is pure Kanye lol.

11) To the World: Cruel Summer (2.83)

People seem to forget or crap on this album but I have always really liked it. R.Kelly’s hook is infectious. I love Kanye’s funny bars too like “Mitt Romney don’t pay no Tax” LOL. The beat is pretty standard tho. Teyana Taylor’s part is a nice finishing touch.

10) On Sight: Yeezus (3.17)

This is probably the Kanye song that turned off more old school Kanye fans than any….The beat is abrasive….it’s loud; it’s in your face! The lyrics are ok, but nothing special. I loved Yeezus when it first came out but over the years its kinda just been great to me instead of spectacular.

9) Say You Will: 808’s and Heartbreak (3.2)

This was a great way to start 808s. Its long, sappy, and cold. Kanye’s singing is heavily auto-tuned. The beat is really good tho….but I don’t often replay this song that much as the rest of the album.

8) Jail: Donda (3.3)

I really really enjoy this song. Kanye is singing on the whole thing. The beat is rock fueled and It really works well. I like the Jay-z verse too.

7) UltraLight Beam: The Life of Pablo (3.33)

Barely beating out the number 8 spot is this gem from Life of Pablo. I really like the gospel elements of this song. Chance the Rapper’s verse is really really good too….except the false prophesying “I met Kanye West Im never gonna fail” Kirk Franklin on the end of it is a nice touch.

6) Feel the Love: Kids See Ghosts (3.83)

Kids See Ghosts is a really unique album…and this is a really unique song. Pusha  T gives you a solid verse. Then Kanye is like barking like a madman lol. Kid Cudi on the chorus is great too. Its pure genius!!

5) Heard Em Say: Late Registration (4.5)

This is a thoughtful and smooth song. To me it’s a really well balanced song. I love the Adam Levine chorus too. Late Registration is full of really poignant songs like this. Can we get this Kanye back? I miss the old Kanye….

4) No Church in the Wild: Watch the Throne (4.5)

The atmosphere on this song is tremendous. The Frank Ocean chorus is perfect too. I like Jay Z and Kanye’s verses here as well. They really paint pictures well with their rhymes. The real star is the beat however. It’s f***ing fire. Definitely a great way to start a great album.

3) We Don’t Care: The College Dropout (4.5)

Back when Kanye really wanted to make a good first impression lol. This song is just so addictive. “All my people that’s drug dealing just to get by, stack ya money till it gets sky high”. With that beat and great chorus, Kanye couldn’t lose.

2) Good Morning: Graduation (4.67)

There’s something really really majestic about this song. It’s the intro to my favorite album ever so I may be a little biased. The beat is beautiful. Kanye’s rapping is pretty strong too. While I don’t think it’s the best song on Graduation, its definitely in the conversation. I love that we get a Jay Z sample at the end of it too….when at the end of the album is “Big Brother” and ode to JIgga.

1)        Dark Fantasy: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (4.83)

Kanye wanted a song that would really grab your attention, and set the stage. After narration from Nicki Minaj; The song starts with an amazing chorus from Leona Lewis who Kanye name drops on the song. Kanye spits with smooth fire here. The way the song break downs at the end its like ….oh sh** what kind of album is this?? Truly the best opener.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I happened to beat this game recently for the first time in I was just in awe at how epic this game is. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake (which I played on the ps4). This game was a ps5 exclusive however. I know I needed a ps5 if I was gonna play it. And last year I made that happen. This is a continuation of the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett as they fight against the Shinra Corporation and the evil Sephiroth. I'll try not spoil much. When the game starts you play as Zack who is a solider like Cloud. You saw Zack at the end of Remake. Basically story wise there is another dimension in this game and you play as Zach in it here and there. There is a relationship meter that the main character Cloud has with every party member….answering certain questions one way or another will change the relationship. I found this to be a cool touch that the first game barely had any resemblance of. The game's graphics are outstanding and characters look ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
