Amerie's Albums Ranked

4) All I Have (84)- Amerie’s first album isn’t bad but its clear she hadn’t really developed her signature sound yet. I’ll admit I’ve probably listened to this one the least. The first song, “ Why Don’t We Fall in Love” is amazing. Then there’s “ Talkin’ to Me” which is really good too. “I Just Died” is really emotional too. There are some highs here but a lot of mid songs tho….Overall its a good project.

3) Touch (93)-I really like this album. It has Amerie’s huge hit “1 Thing” on it. “All I Need” is a sultry song too. Then there’s her bad girl sound on the “Touch” song. That Lil Jon beat is fire! “Not the Only One” is another highlight as Amerie confronts her lover and says she’s cheating too. You can hear the go-go uptempo sound again on “Talkin’ About”. The production as a whole is just better here than on her debut. “Rolling Down My Face” is another strong deep cut.

2) Because I Love It (96)-This was the album that really made me a fan of Amerie. It’s really stacked. “Hate2loveu” is really catchy and gets the album off to a great start. “Crazy Wonderful” might be my favorite song here. It’s just fits her style perfectly. “Some Like It” is fire too. “Somebody Up There” Is a really good ballad too. “1 Thing” is here too as is a great ending song “Losing U” which is really emotional. The production here is just as good as on Touch but she seems better lyrically imo.

1) In Love & War (100)-I gotta admit this has been the first discography I’ve ranked where the albums just get progressively better each time. I don’t get why this album isn’t regarded as one of her best. I will admit she’s kinda experimental on this album but to me it pays off. “Higher ” has a hot rock fueled kinda beat. “Heard ‘Em All” is a fun song where Amerie really shows a lot charisma. There’s a remix with Lil Wayne too. “Pretty Brown” with Trey Songz is really smooth. “ More Than Love” with Fabolous is good too. I love “Swag Back” too. The slower songs near the end are maybe the worst songs but they’re not bad by any stretch. Lead single “Why R U” is one of her better songs imo. Yeah this album is just amazing.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I happened to beat this game recently for the first time in I was just in awe at how epic this game is. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake (which I played on the ps4). This game was a ps5 exclusive however. I know I needed a ps5 if I was gonna play it. And last year I made that happen. This is a continuation of the story of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett as they fight against the Shinra Corporation and the evil Sephiroth. I'll try not spoil much. When the game starts you play as Zack who is a solider like Cloud. You saw Zack at the end of Remake. Basically story wise there is another dimension in this game and you play as Zach in it here and there. There is a relationship meter that the main character Cloud has with every party member….answering certain questions one way or another will change the relationship. I found this to be a cool touch that the first game barely had any resemblance of. The game's graphics are outstanding and characters look ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
