Rick Ross: God Forgivevs, I Don't Review(Track by Track Review)

Rick Ross

God Forgives, I Don’t
Track by Track Review

Pray for Us- The intro….some guy is praying to God, then u hear a drive by and the famous Rick Ross “RUH”

6.5/10

Pirates-A great intro song. The beat is on point. “We just Pirates tryin to stay float”

8.5/10

3 Kings- Ross is joined by Dr. Dre and Jay-z here. Dre says “listen to this through my headphones”, Ross says “Listen to this in my Maybach”. Jay-z’s verse is good as he says “Niggas can’t f*** with my daughter’s room”. The beat is hot, but lyrically its not as good as it could have been

9/10

Ashamed-This track is really smooth. I love the sample. Ross gets it done.

8.5/10

Maybach Music IV-The 4th edition of Maybach Music is as smooth as possible but I think it’s the worst of the 4. Ne-yo’s part is a nice touch but I wanted to hear more of him here.

8.5/10

Sixteen- The smooth songs continue. This song is dope. Ross is joined by Andre 3000 who steals the show at the end of the long song.

9.5/10

Amsterdam- Maybach music….Ross brags about. The beat is real laid back.

7.5/10

Hold Me Back-A great Ross song; it reminds me of his old style….its dope.

8.5/10

911- This song builds on the cohesiveness of the last track, but it’s a little too repetitive.

8/10

So Sophisticated-This song has a really cool beat. Meek Millz shows up to have the last verse. Its not a great verse but it’ll do.

8.5/10

Presidential- I’ve never heard a Rick Ross song quite like this. The beat and sample are decent. It’s the first of a few tracks dedicated to the ladies. The chorus is nothing special.

7.5/10

Ice Cold- Omarion’s chorus really steals the show on this track. This is one dope track. The only bad thing about this song is it’s in the middle of 4 similar songs.

8.5/10

Touch N You- Not to be outdone, Usher joins Ross. This song is superior to the other 4 though. The chorus is f***in you….repeated. However this is one nice song. This song reminds me of the song on Usher’s album where he’s joined by Ross.

9/10

Diced Pineapples- Here’s an interesting song. Ross is joined by Wale & Drake. Wale just doesn’t impress me these days, but Drake does his thing. This is a good laid back song.

8/10

Ten Jesus Pieces- The album closer…it’s a good track, but a little long. Ross doesn’t let his guest steal the show this time.

8/10

Triple Beam- The first of the bonus tracks, Ross is joined by the elite rapper, Nas. Nas steals the show little effort….but this song isn’t as interesting  as the song on Nas’s album, Accident Murderer

8.5/10

Rich Forever- The final track features John Legend. Legend always does well on choruses. It’s a nice end to the album.

8/10

I give this album 8.75/10. Its a great album, but not quite as great as Teflon Don...but its a smooth listen.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...

Tech Review: Iphone Air

I have only had this phone for over a week but I feel the need to review it. I recently got a 512gb light gold iPhone Air. This phone is so thin. You really have to hold it for yourself to believe it. I knew when I used it at a local Best Buy I had to have it. The phone is also a modern marvel having most of the technology in the camera bump. Of course you're wondering about that camera and battery life.  Honestly the battery is decent. It gets me through the day at work with minimal charging ( I mean who goes somewhere with no charger anymore?). The camera is good too. I'm not a huge camera guy anyways. The phone's 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is great. I really notice a difference from my old phone (iPhone 12). The phone doesn't really get that hot either which is great. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is the one speaker on the phone....but honestly it's not that bad. I usually use headphones anyways. Apple Intelligence is still in beta but I think ...
