Jurassic Park/World Movie Ranking

I absolutely love dinosaurs so I felt it was time to make this blog post ranking the movies of this series!

7) Jurassic Park 3 (7.5): This was the first JP movie I saw in theaters as a kid. It’s a good movie but perhaps too short. It starts really slow…but when things pick up, they pick up. The Spinosaurus makes its debut with great intensity. Sam Neil’s character when asked if it’s a T-Rex says, “It sounds bigger”. It takes out a T-Rex with minimal difficulty…and basically stalks our cast throughout the movie. The raptors are pretty menacing here…but they only stalk our cast because dude took a Raptor egg. I found the scene with the Pterodactyls to be really good. Ultimately it’s a good movie but against the others it just leaves a bit to be desired.

6) Jurassic World Rebirth (8)-The latest movie. I’ve only seen it twice….first time was in theaters. Man this movie is really really tense. We are introduced to mutant dinosaurs here. Before I get into that I’ve got to talk about the biggest weakness of this movie. The cast just isn’t that great. Sure Scarlett Johansen is great….but the others kinda let me down. The addition of the family in the mix is interesting. The part with the Mosasaur and the Spinos is pretty intense. The part with the T-Rex attacking the family was super tense. You can’t forget about the ending too with the Mutadon attack and then the terrifying D-Rex.

5) Jurassic World Dominion (8)-Ok so I didn’t see this one in theaters…and I’ve heard a lot of negative things about it…but its honestly pretty good. Sure the locust plotline is pretty stupid and the dinosaurs are just kinda there. However, the cast is good and the story makes sense with the Biosyn company. We basically have Jurassic World main characters meets Jurassic Park main characters here. There’s some tense scenes as usual like when Chris Pratt’s character tries to get his adopted girl back (who is a clone) at the dinosaur black market place. The part where Bryce Dallas Howard crash lands and is stalked by that freaky dinosaur with the claws is good. That dinosaur teams up with the T-Rex to take on this movies villain the Giganotosaurus. Sure the Giga didn’t have to die but I was glad it did lol. The plotline of Blue having a kid is cute too. So yeah this movie was working with a lot of things and pulled off most of it.

4) Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom (9)-We’re now entering the classics zone. This movie I didn’t see in theaters but I knew it would be good. Fallen Kingdom picks up a few years after Jurassic World. The plot is pretty straight forward. The villains need Bryce Dallas Howard’s character to show them how to find Blue who is the last remaining raptor. They need Blue to help in print to Indo Raptor. So the first part of the movie is going to the island to where the Jurassic World park was and picking up the dinosaurs. This part is really fast paced and enjoyable. Of course the very beginning part of the movie is pretty crazy with the guy getting away from the T-Rex just to be eaten by the Mosasaur. The 2nd part of the movie involves the dinosaurs and our characters being in the mansion. Eventually the Indo Raptor gets loose and all hell breaks loose. It’s a really scary dinosaur. It literally stalks the little girl (who you find out is a clone). Eventually though due to heroics from Chris Pratt’s character and Blue its defeated. The movie’s endings of dinosaurs breaking out into the world sets up Dominion. I really like this movie. Its very dark and tense…..maybe the most tense of any of the movies.

3) The Lost World : Jurassic Park (9.5)-Jeff Goldblum is in top form here as the main character. He initially doesn’t want to go to the island where the dinos are but he finds out his girlfriend is there so he goes. The plot here is somewhat similar to the later movie JW Fallen Kingdom. This movie is kinda like the first Jurassic Park but there’s more dinos…a lot more. There are some really great scenes like when you first see the T-Rexes who are trying to get their young T-rex back. That part with the trailer is insane….and I feel bad for that guy that got eaten even though he technically still saved the day. Who could forget the part with the guy that gets stalked and eaten by the little dinos (the copies I think they call them). Then there’s a great scene with the T Rexes chasing everyone our cast of heroes and villains. The part with the raptors is pretty tense too. It’s a little unbelievable but hey it’s a movie come on. Just when you think the movie is over when our cast is rescued from the island there’s a whole section of the movie with the T-Rex loose in America. The main villain gets his just dues at the end too because of his greed lol. Terrific movie!

2) Jurassic World (9.5)- What an exciting return to form this movie was. Maybe I have a little bias towards this movie if you think Jurassic Park 2 is better but this is my pick for the 2nd spot. The setting is a park that has been doing well for years. Things go wrong when they introduce a brand new dino, the Indominous Rex….which is basically a super smart serial killer animal lol. Chris Pratt’s character is cool as the Raptor whisperer. The pacing of this movie is really good. The Indominous Rex fools the humans and escapes. You find out later in the movie that its actually part raptor when it communicates with the raptors. The part where they finally get a chopper with a machine gun and try to kill the monster which ends up getting the flying dinosaurs free is crazy. The dinos attack all the people at the park. Ultimatley tho the raptors and a T-rex fight the Indominous Rex. However it’s the Mosasaur that ends up killing it! The way Bryce Dallas Howards character changes in the movie is great too as at the end she shows a lot of care for the dinos and her nephews. Amazing movie.

1) Jurassic Park (10)-There’s no doubt that the first movie in the franchise is the best. It’s just so amazing. The pacing is terrific. The reveal of the first dinosaur; magnificent. The plot of the programmer guy shutting down the park’s security systems to make off with the dino specimens was good. Of course this was also during a tropical storm. When he dies by a dinosaur he initially thought was no threat….its like yeah that’s what you get man! The buildup to the T-Rex amazing. The part where the T-Rex eats the lawyer on the toilet is both funny and horrifying. The intro terrifying….yes the “Shoot her!” part. The ending sequences with the raptors is so tense. Of course, who could have foreseen the T-Rex Ex Machina saving our cast from the raptors at the end? This movie asks the question, “Sure you could make dinosaurs, but you never stopped to think…should you?”. The end is so funny when at the end Sam Neil’s character says, “After some consideration I’ve decided not to endorse your park!”. The park’s creator picks him and our cast up and agrees with him lol. This movie just had a perfect balance of action, tension, and it made you care about each character too. If I could critique it….it would be we didn’t see Samuel Jackson’s character get eaten but hey that’s it.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Tech Review: Iphone Air

I have only had this phone for over a week but I feel the need to review it. I recently got a 512gb light gold iPhone Air. This phone is so thin. You really have to hold it for yourself to believe it. I knew when I used it at a local Best Buy I had to have it. The phone is also a modern marvel having most of the technology in the camera bump. Of course you're wondering about that camera and battery life.  Honestly the battery is decent. It gets me through the day at work with minimal charging ( I mean who goes somewhere with no charger anymore?). The camera is good too. I'm not a huge camera guy anyways. The phone's 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is great. I really notice a difference from my old phone (iPhone 12). The phone doesn't really get that hot either which is great. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is the one speaker on the phone....but honestly it's not that bad. I usually use headphones anyways. Apple Intelligence is still in beta but I think ...

Kanye West Albums Ranked (2026 Revision)

16) Vultures 2 (72)- It should be no surprise this album is the worst of the bunch. It just comes off as lazy and uninspired most of the time. The production is decent tho. “Bomb” features Yuno Miles and his daughters: North and Chicago West…..and it's really corny. “Husband” is just god awful. I don’t know what he was going for with that one! “Fried” is pretty dope tho….and you can see the potential of “530”. 15) Donda 2 (75) - I haven’t had a lot of time to sit with this one. It’s not that bad tho…in fact it’s kind of average. I really like “City of God” which features Alicia Keys and Five Foreign. Sure lyrically its not great but the production again isn’t bad. Ultimately I feel like this has little to do with the first Donda album…. 14) 808s and Heartbreak (83) - You may be shocked to see this still near the bottom of his discography. While I bumped the score up a little from last time, I still feel 808’s isn’t all that. I love “Heartless” as it’s probably the best song. “Love...
