Nicki Minaj Albums Ranked

Nicki is the greatest female rapper of all time. My opinion on some of these albums have changed since I reviewed them. Lets get it!

7)Pink Friday Roman Reloaded (80)- Even though this is the lowest rated album it sounded really good in its time. You basically have the first half which is rap heavy, and the second half which is mostly pop….or as I’ve heard “Nicki Gaga” LOL. The first 3 songs “Roman Holiday” , “Come on a Cone”, and “I am Your leader” are really good. I really like “Champion” too, which features Nas, Drake, and Young Jeezy. “Right By My Side” with Chris Brown tho is my favorite. “Starships” is the best of the pop songs.

6) Pink Friday Roman Reloaded The Re-Up (84)-While only at 7 songs this was a good short set of songs. “Up In Flames” Is fire and one of Nicki’s best lyrical showcases. “High School” with Lil Wayne is smooth as hell. “I’m Legit” with Ciara is great, and “The Boys” with Cassie is even better.

5) Pink Friday 2 (89)-I don’t find myself going back to this album much but it is pretty damn good. She’s got some personal songs up here like “Are You Gone Already” and “Last Time I Saw You”, which are decent. Lead single “Super Freaky Girl” is a terrific song. A lot of these songs use sample baiting…which works mostly. “FTCU” and “Barbie Dangerous” are dope. “Let Me Calm Down” featuring J.Cole is a win. I don’t really understand why she named it Pink Friday 2 when I assumed Roman Reloaded was the official sequel to her debut.

4) Queen (90)-Well my opinion of this album has gone down over the years, but it’s still great. It gets off to a really great start with “Ganja Burns”, “Majesty” and “Barbie Dreams”. The latter being one of her best songs easily as she name drops several rappers. Eminem does great on “Majesty” too. The 2 rappers have great chemistry. “Chun-Li” is awesome too. It’s a shame “Barbie TIngz” didn’t make the album cause it would have helped. The end of the album is mediocre. Overall tho I do really like this one.

3) Pink Friday (92)-The official debut is indeed a classic. There’s so much heat here! “Roman’s Revenge” features a very feisty Nicki and a ruthless Eminem. “Moment 4 Life” is so smooth featuring Drake. I like “Fly” with Rihanna and “Blazin” features a great verse from Kanye West. Nicki sings well on tracks like “Right Thru Me” and “Your Love”. There’s serious pop appeal on a song like “Check it Out”. The way Nicki can be so cute and girly yet so savage is really interesting. “Did It on Em” is perhaps her at her most vicious.

2) Beam Me Up Scotty (93)-This album/mixtape really grew on me. “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne is great. “Itty Bitty Piggy” is pure flames. It’s crazy how hungry Nicki sounds on these songs. She’s really spitting. The 2 Gucci Mane assisted songs are good, but I prefer “Slumber Party”. The “Best I Ever Had (remix)” is really dope too. The album ends really well too with “Beam Me Up Scotty”. I don’t have a lot to say about this one…except this was from my favorite era in rap the late 2000s early 2010s.

1) The Pinkprint (94)-This truly is Nicki’s magnum opus. It’s constructed really well with the slow songs early, then fire tracks, then more slow ones, then bonus tracks. “Only” is a really dope song. I really like “Anaconda” of course. It’s one of her biggest songs. “The Night Is Still Young” Is my favorite song here. It’s so smooth and I love the positive message. The slower songs aren’t bad either. Nicki fully sings on “Grand Piano” .Basically this album doesn’t have many flaws. Those Meek Mill assisted songs didn’t age well lol. This album is so stacked.

Doja Cat Albums Worst to Best

Doja Cat has been one of my favorite rapper/singers of the past few years. Let's see which albums are the best from her. 5) Amala (88)- Doja’s first album is honestly pretty damn good. You can tell she was still refining her sound tho on this. The last 3 songs “Juicy”, “Tia Tamera”, and “Mooo” are so good. “Candy” is another banger. The album is really well balanced being pretty much good in all areas but not really great in any tho. Favorite Track: Mooo. 4) Scarlet (90)- Believe it or not, this was an album I was on the fence about getting. I’m glad I got it. This is a rap heavy album but there’s still plenty of singing here and there. “Demons” and “F**k the GIrls” are Doja at her roughest. “Attention” was a great single. “Agora Hills” is a nice cute track. The monster single “Paint the Town Red” is the best track however. This album wa a big departure for her, but for the most part it paid off. Fav. Track Paint the Town Red. 3) Vie (92)- This was Doja returning to her pop roots,...

Tech Review: Iphone Air

I have only had this phone for over a week but I feel the need to review it. I recently got a 512gb light gold iPhone Air. This phone is so thin. You really have to hold it for yourself to believe it. I knew when I used it at a local Best Buy I had to have it. The phone is also a modern marvel having most of the technology in the camera bump. Of course you're wondering about that camera and battery life.  Honestly the battery is decent. It gets me through the day at work with minimal charging ( I mean who goes somewhere with no charger anymore?). The camera is good too. I'm not a huge camera guy anyways. The phone's 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is great. I really notice a difference from my old phone (iPhone 12). The phone doesn't really get that hot either which is great. One thing I'm not a huge fan of is the one speaker on the phone....but honestly it's not that bad. I usually use headphones anyways. Apple Intelligence is still in beta but I think ...

Album Review: Doja Cat-Vie

The much anticipated latest Doja Cat album! I was very curious to see where she'd go after the dark rap heavy Scarlet. The path she took was a 80s sounding pop album. It took a few listens for the album to click with me but yeah its awesome. Doja is in her zone here on this album. She sings a lot and acts as her own featured rap artist which is interesting. The first 3 songs are pretty strong. "Cards" is sultry. I love "Jealous Type" too (the lead single). "AAAH MEN!" might be my favorite song however. The production is great but maybe not the best she's ever had. I liked most every song. "Silly!Fun!" and "Come Back" are also excellent. As far as features go there's only SZA on " Take Me Dancing". So basically we have a very strong album here...but maybe not quite as good as Planet Her but it’s very close. Maybe I'll do a Doja Cat album ranking in the near future. She's been one of my favorite artists sin...
