Have you been wondering what video games I've been playing since the late 2010s and till now in the mid 2020s? Well here you go
Ok so after I traded in the Xbox One in 2018 I got a Nintendo Switch. OMG this thing was great. I think Breath of the Wild was my first game. I would get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey too. I was till playing my ps4 a lot too. I was playing God of War (2018) and Horizon Zero Dawn.....but I wouldn't beat either one of those until about 2020.
Later for PS4 I was able to play games that were technically ps5 games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnaraok. Both games were absolutely amazing! Back on the Switch I would play some really great games like Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Zelda Skyward Sword remastered. I really was playing quite a few Pokemon games annually too like Shield, then Brilliant Diamond, then later Scarlet.
Of course during this time period I was playing NBA 2ks annually till 2k23. I was also playing a lot of Call of Duty. I would typically beat the campaigns but I spent most of my time on multiplayer. I remember the game COD Modernwarfare (2019) was a blast to play. It reinvigorated my interest in the series which had wained a little after games like Black Ops 4.
Also during this time my best friend got me a Xbox game pass code or two. I would try games like Jedi Fallen Order and love it. Also I played a lot of Halo and Gears of War. We would beat Halo one but it was very difficult. Especially considering sometimes the connections would be bad. I did play on my MacBook lol. I had a lot of fun playing Destiny 2 with my best friend too. It got repetitive sure but hey I liked it.
Pre Current Years
Before I would get a PS5 I still had quite a few good games to play. On the PS4 I played Jedi Survivor( another game that originally next gen). I really enjoyed it but I was surprised by how hard it was to beat. I have a review of that game on this blog as well as many games mentioned above. I would also play Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga. I beat it and thought it was a blast. I would also beat Marvel's Spiderman. That game was a blast. I got DBZ Kakarot too but to this day I have not beaten that game.
On the Switch side I still played some great games like Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. I also played a lot of Nintendo Switch Online. I beat Ocarina of Time on it a few times and Majoras Mask once. I also beat Super Mario 3d World/Bowser's Fury. Well I didnt beat the Bowser's Fury part tho. I would play some Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 also. Without your own pokemon tho, those games are almost unbeatable !!! But hey I did beat Stadium one round one all the way somehow.
Current Years
I would get Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PS4 when it came out and I would play that a whole lot. I would replay Final Fantasy X again in 2025. It was a blast to replay that. In October of 2025 as you know I got a Playstation 5. It lived up to the hype completely. I started with FF7 Rebirth, Tekken 8, and NBA 2k26. And I played NBA the most of those 3. FF7 Rebirth I beat in April 2026. It was quite the experience! A Masterpiece if I ever played one.
Later I would get Spiderman 2 and Gran Turismo 7. I still haven't beaten Spiderman 2 but I'm over halfway there. I beat Astro Bot. It was so fun! I also got this game called Forespoken that I always wanted to play and it was pretty cool too so far.
As of right now I'm trying to keep my PS4 going a bit by playing DBZ Kakarot, God of War 3 Remastered, and even some FFX-2. So yeah there's some other games Im looking forward to buying and you may see an update here then.
