Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory Review

Cham has to be in the conversation for one of the best southern rappers. Cham has impressive flow, and great word choice. Also he has some really conscious topics on the album like on The Morning/Evening News, and on Ultimate Victory, and Hip Hop Police. Overall I feel the album is a lot deeper than its predecessor, and it doesn’t get old quickly. I feel the beats are the weakest part of the album, but they’re nothing to complain about. The album doesn’t have any cussing which is radio friendly!     Ima give this album a 9/10. Chammmillitary mane!

Album Review: Justin Bieber's My World 2.0

Justin Bieber……well I won’t judge his personal life, but the guy makes good music. The album starts out with the anthemic Baby featuring Ludacris. It’s a classic song. Its catchy and cute. The rest of the album deals with ups and downs of love and relationships. Somebody to Love is my favorite song because its simply epic.  From a production wise it’s good and the singing is decent as well, with catchy hooks.  Hmm I know alot of you hate this guy.....but ima give this album an 8.5 and call it a day.

Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II review

- Before I heard this album, I didn’t think much of the Wu Tang Clan, let alone Raekwon, their best MC. This album is the sequel to his incredible OB4CL part one. The album touches all the basis of the streets. The guest spots are well used as well Ghostface Killah always seems to command the spotlight, and Busta and Jadakiss do well on their respective features. Overall it’s a really good album and for the most part is a modern day rap masterpiece.   Overall i give this album a 9.5/10. It's another great dish from the Chef, Raekwon!

Album Review: A$AP Rocky- Long Live A$AP

A$AP Rocky is an interesting rapper. He reminds me of Kendrick Lamar mixed with Tyler the Creator…but perhaps not that extreme. This album is a good debut album. The album has some really cool beats. Some are dark, others more uptempo. I think A$AP is a pretty talented rapper who will be on the scene for a while. The album kinda uses the deep autotune effect a bit much, but otherwise this is a solid effort. A$AP is from Harlem but this really sounds like a mix between East Coast and Dirty South Rap Overall I give this album a 8.5/10. Great debut album man!

Rapper Breakdown: Game

Rapper-Game (The Game) Date-Early 2013 “The West Coast Messiah”   The Documentary 2005 Top Songs: Dreams, Hate it or Love it, How We Do, Higher, We Ain’t Album Score: Beats-4.7 , Lyrics-4 = 4.35 Rapper Stats: Flow-84, Versatility-86, Relevancy-90, Critical Acclaim-72 Rapper Rating: 83 Comments- This was one of the best debut albums a rapper has had. Game came out strong backed by Dr. Dre & 50 Cent, and a plethora of varied beats. His flow was good at this point, but there was room for improvement.   Doctor’s Advocate 2006 Top Songs- Let’s Ride, Too Much, Wouldn’t Get Far, Doctor’s Advocate Album Sore: Beats-4.1 , Lyrics-4.2= 4.15 R S: F-87 , V-85 , R-88 , CA-72 R R: 83 C: The D.A. was a really good album, especially considering that Game didn’t have any help from Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. Regardless of that he came out spitting hard. I feel that its better than his first album in some ways but overall it seemed like th...

Rapper Breakdown:Kanye West

Rapper- Kanye West Breakdown Date: Early 2013 “Kanye-Tida”   Rapper albums The College Dropout Year: 2004 Top Songs - Jesus Walks, All Falls Down, Slow Jamz, Last Call Album Score: Lyrics-4.4 ,Beats-4.8= 4.6 Rapper Stats: Flow- 85, Versatility-94, Relevancy-83, Critical Acclaim-87 Rapper Rating- 87.3 Comments-Mr. West’s debut album is really really good. It has no real weaknesses. The beats are better than West’s lyrics, but that’s to be expected. I feel Kanye came out the gate strong, and clearly ahead of all the new rappers of 04’.   Late Registration 2005 Top Songs-Gold Digger, Touch the Sky, Diamonds From Sierra Leone, Gone, Diamond’s Remix Album Score: Lyrics-4.5, Beats-4.7= 4.6 R S: F-85, V-93, R-88, CA-85 R R: 87.8 C: Kanye avoided the sophomore slump by trying out new glossier sounds and I think, becoming a slightly better rapper. Late Registration is just as good a...

Triple Review: T.I., Game, & Big Boi

Okay this is a rap review. I am taking 3 very good albums from late 2012 and breaking them down. T.I.-Trouble Man: Heavy is th Head T.I.’s latest album might as well be called his redemption. The album features T.I. trying to channel his old style(Trap Musik & Urban Legend) with his King of South style( King & Paper Trail). The album is just way better than his horrible predecessor, No Mercy. His lyrics are much smarter, and relevant unlike his previous album. The new blended style T.I. displays makes him sound hungry again which is what a lot of rappers lack these days that have found previous success.   Ball with Lil Wayne is one of the best songs. It has a cash money feel to it with its uptempo beat. The album seems to have a little bit of everything. There’s even skits mixed in to some songs which helps with the cohesiveness. Sure there’s some filler, but overall I am proud of T.I. for coming back strong. Songs like Can You Learn, Sorry, Guns and Roses, and ...
